Balazar, alas, has 2 strikes against him.
1) He's Small sized, which makes it tricky for scaling problems—artists often forget that gnomes and halflings are half-sized.
An excellent reason to replace Lem with Ameiko as the iconic bard!
Or at least get Ameikos artwork in high resolution up somewhere? <beg> :p

err... +1, as I guess all the popular kids seem to say these days.

I hope we get to see that picture in high resolution on the blog, both Ameiko and the background picture. :)Who will be the iconics, besides Sajan and Feeyah?

2) He's got a weird eidolon that doesn't really have a "place" in the world. We don't have many chicklizatrices out there.
THAT SAID...
Rob's in my office RIGHT NOW and he wants to put Balazar in the Skull and Shackles AP... so stay tuned!
And then he said, "Aaaahhh... I don't know... maybe that would be too goofy..."
Is this a stealthy announcement of the final title (from what I heard coming out of the weekend, the 10th AP was "Skull and Bones")

Having enjoyed some long-time exposure to "modernized" traditional japanese music, I can absolutely imagine a shamisen playing bard that inspires courage, competence, awesomeness and all-out badassery.

I'm guessing early as July 28th to as late as August 10th

Got some big plans to start this. Will actually begin with Rise of the Runelords, first book, then jump into this. The first runelords game was actually run quite badly in my larger game group, very inflexible dm, huge pc casualties, two tpks, Sandpoint people came across as real d****. Sandpoint cleric left a player to die from Varghoul infection.
So yeah, start again, connect books, bam. Supplement the goblins with a Shoanti tribe in cahoots. A visiting Chelaxian trade vessel. Start players at level 2 so as to make the combats initially more interesting.

Yep—late July is when we will begin shipping subscriber copies and preorders. The retail release date is August 4 (the first day of Gen Con).

So I will be checking out the Wizards Tower first week in August 4 (or as late as the 10th) for the Book.

He is suffering from things being slow, plus slow multi round kisses are better.

It is always better for the succubus if things happen more slowly for others while she can achieve her goals more quickly. Turning things the other way around simply won't do for The Dark Mistress.

I think it is a "Slow Time Dialation" and not your "Succubus Touch of Doom."
This Slow Time Dialation gives me eternal life, abit slow mo. It is always give and take in this universe, which is good for the balance of things.
And don't try the kisses, the secrets I hold, give me immunity to them and could reflect them onto their source.

We're starting a campaign in august or so, so we're faced with the difficult choice of picking between a known good AP or this unknown-but-possibly-super-awesome AP. Very tough choice...
Any advice?
Speaking as a GM: I recommend that the entire AP is IN HAND and thoroughly digested before beginning the game.
Speaking as a player: I recommend that the entire AP is in the hands of the GM before beginning.
Reasons: For a GM to have a rough outline of the entire scope of the AP is great. For a GM to have a DETAILED outline of the AP is better. For a GM to have read, digested and then tailored the AP to his players is best.
Just my 2cp.

Oh? I thought that the pre-gen iconics were being done away with for purposes of space conservation.

Their stat blocks have been done away with, but the art orders will still use four iconics for each AP for a sense of visual continuity throughout the AP.

Anyway AP subscribers can pick up their copy at GenCon if they are attending? Would be a nice way to avoid the cost of shipping.
There was an option on the my subscriptions page, but I believe that the deadline for signing up has passed.

Love the Interactive Map that comes with the PDF. Nice to be able to remove layers and the Tags and make it a Player View with removing secret rooms.
Hopefully will see more like that with your PDFs, like being able to remove the Background Art for when I want to print out a Page.

I downloaded the file this morning and although I have now read the adventure (as I'll be playing in this one) I did take a quick look at the map which was unusually separate from the module itself.
What more can I can I say but WOW! Nice choice to have the map with a no text button and Player version button all within the PDF. Fantastic. Keep that up!
