Like many here I want to know if the errata has been updated in this book? I mean no big deal with this version I can just write the errata in but having it in there would be nice

Good book, great art and love the different types of drives and weapons and supercolossal ship super neat. But nothing about power core except for the breach. Not even in the building of starships nothing about power cores. I find this very frustrating.

Just got my books in! Lovely little things. Honestly I was starting to think I was never going to get them. So much reading to do and get the guys together for some play testing.

You can always add spells to an existing spellbook (as long as it has empty pages left), you can find the rules for it in the Core Rulebook p. 219 or here.

As for creating a completely new book with a preparation ritual, the rules aren't exactly stated anywhere as far as I know, but from the examples provided in Ultimate Magic one can calculate the prices of some rituals (for example Harmful Surge from the Book of Harms would cost 860-485=375 gp). If, during the game (let's say during a visit in some city), you want to buy a book created by you from the scratch, make sure your GM is okay with it. Some GMs will make no problems, others could say, for example, "it would be unlikely if there was someone in this city selling a spellboook exactly like that, but there may be someone selling something similar", but others can simply say "no, there's no such item in any sourcebook".

But if you have a helpful and agreeable GM, you may even try to create completely new preparation rituals, as long as the GM is okay with it. That would be akin to researching new spells, so there is no strict rules for that, but you may be able to use existing examples as guidelines for what is possible and how much would it cost.

Finding and buying a whole spellbook may be possible at the discretion of your GM - from the given examples the cost can be reverse-engineered to be 115 gp + the cost of the writing of the appropriate spells, not counting the cantrips. You add to it the cost of any protections on the book (like locks) or preparation rituals the book is supposed to have.

Note that the preparation ritual isn't something you can use automatically if the book has correct spells - it is something added to the book. So you can have two books with the same spell selection, and one has a preparation while the other doesn't. If you want a book with a preparation ritual, you need to ask for it specifically, and it will be more expensive.

Awsome I understand so much better now thanks.so to be clear I can add spells to the book such as "the book of harm" if say it does not have Burning hands. The cost as stated with ritual almost double normal cost ok got tha. Are there rules so my character can make his own spell book that I can include a boon in it? cost will be a little cheaper.

First, it is "boon", not "boom".

Second, the Traveler's Tome doesn't have a boon. If a particular book does have a boon, it is listed under Preparation Ritual. For example, the Book of Harm's boon:

Hey thanks for all your thoughts every informative;and taking a lot of stress and self doubt out of playing at home and having fun.

My question is we play at home casual play and I know what to do if you have the class deck but what if you don’t? The way we play is if we get loot if there is something we want we take it and fix our decks according to what our cards say to do so. This makes perfect sense and just want to see what you all think.

I see a lot feel the same way as I do. accident is one thing as long as it is corrected. I have done that more then once put the wrong number in a spot or add things the wrong way it happen but I corrected right away. the other there is no call sometimes the dice just don't go your way sucks but it happens.

like many this was my first Paizocon and it was a blast; and like a lot i was confused a lot but unlike most I did sign up for events. Only thing i did not really understand what I was signing up for but they where a pleasant surprise As this was my first Paizocon I can't say this or that in improvement. What i can say is I have attend a lot of conventions and all of them by the third day I go damn about time to go home but this one damn i did not want it to end. I wish I had more access to the event schedule ahead of time. the food in the hall way was great I was lucky I fell into the right events that I like but next year i hope to make the right choice and not hope i picked the right one. I though there would have been more vendors but as it was it was nice. Why if I bought a book wasn't i given and pdf copy also? that would have been a nice touch. more society events the card events where cool but the roll playing seamed lacking or I just did not know where to look. Anyway that is it for now I might think of some thing later

I have read the book and just picked up the second book at Paizocon but as far as the first book pirate honor I love that book. If you say black sails is good i will give it a shot; and I got my copy sign by the Aurthur oh yea!

When can start using elite cards. Such as a basic elite can I just add it to my basic starting deck or do I have to wait and hope I get lucky. thanks for any help.

For me it is a couple things first of all time to play different games. I just got my complete RotR and have as yet to finish that all the way. Second is money I just can't afford a whole new box set plus all those sets. if I could buy the base cards then the addition that is a lot more doable for me to do in my limited military retirement pay.

Look for the pdf of Judges Guild JG3 Dark Tower at the usual online rpg and pdf stores. Goodman Games converted it to 3.5. Still very much the same deadly adventure. You should be able to use the free 3.5 conversion guide hosted here to convert from 3.5 to Pathfinder. If there is a fan made conversion to Pathfinder, I am not aware of it.

I think you all are forgetting the following.

he can make all of his attacks with his melee weapon at a –2 penalty and can also cast any spell from the magus spell list with a casting time of 1 standard action.

I had and idea for and up coming game and wanted to run by anyone that is willing to take a look.
My character witch level 12 cast transformation on him self can he still use his hex ability or does is a hex same as casting a spell?

See page 468 of the core rule book. It makes it reasonably clear, in the section 'Ranged Weapons and Ammunition', that an enchanted bow is perfectly valid and can avoid any need for enchanted arrows.

I am playing a Magus and wanted to enchant an bow but the DM says I have to enchant my arrows how do I prove him wrong or is he?

from what I have read there is no limit on stacking bull's Strength or is there something out there that says otherwise?

If you take a few more moments to clearly type out what you're asking, it will really help the people who are answering you.

The Arcane Pool ability of a level 5 Magus allows him to add +2 worth of enhancement bonus or weapon properties from the list for one minute.

If your weapon is not already magical, you can do any of the following as a swift action by expending 1 point from your arcane pool:

+2 weapon
+1 Flaming weapon
+1 Frost weapon
+1 Shock weapon
+1 Keen weapon

All of those options have a total of +2 worth of enhancement bonus.

If you already have a +1 weapon, you can do any of the following as a swift action by expending 1 point from your arcane pool:

+3 weapon
+1 Flaming Burst weapon
+1 Icy Burst weapon
+1 Shocking Burst weapon
+1 Flaming Frost weapon
+1 Flaming Shock weapon
+1 Frost Shock weapon
+1 Keen Flaming weapon
+1 Keen Frost weapon
+1 Keen Shock weapon

All of those options have a total of +3 worth of enhancement bonus.

At level 9, you have +3 worth of enhancement bonus to spend. You can do all of the above options to a non-magical weapon, or any of the following to a magical weapon:

+1 Keen Flaming Burst weapon
+1 Speed weapon
+1 Shock Icy Burst weapon

The rules for arcane pool specifically state that you cannot use the ability more than once on the same weapon.

Now, at level 9, you will be able to give the weapon a +3 total bonus. This will allow you to make it keen and shocking or flamine burst.

If your asking if you can apply a second applications of Arcane pool to a weapon then the answer is no. The last line of the ability says that when you use arcane pool again while a previous use is still active the initial use ends. However you can enhance the weapon with other spells like keen edge in conjunction with a arcane pool applied shocking or flaming burst at 7th level to get what your looking for.

Ah OK I got it now but with Spell recall I can put on my weapon keen cast shocking burst then recall for 3 points (ouch)and cast it again costly but if fighting the boss would be worth it and here is something else would it be worth it to get an non-magic scimitar so that he could have the +2 just for smacking of creature?

I have worked up my Magus and have felt that I have underused him for some time but please read on and tell me if you think this would work.
my Magus level 6 6 Arcane pool with Scimitar +1 1st turn put on it keen then the second turn Shocking or flaming burst would this work? as far as I see it should but I have been shy about trying this idea out. the potently out put of damage is incredible.

Yep. The only things categorically immune to crits and sneak attacks now are, if I recall correctly, elementals, oozes, and incorporeal creatures (even if you have ghost touch weapons). Maybe plants too, but I don't think so. Constructs and corporeal undead are decidedly crittable.

There are individual exceptions, of course. In particular, lots of aberrations have partial or total immunity to crits and sneak attacks, even though aberrations in general don't have any such immunity.

Is that a revision to the rule or addition and where can I find that ruling so I can show my fellow players and DM's?
