Pathfinder Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

When can start using elite cards. Such as a basic elite can I just add it to my basic starting deck or do I have to wait and hope I get lucky. thanks for any help.

When building your character deck initially, you must use only cards with the Basic trait. You can get other cards (including Elites) by encountering them during scenarios and then succeeding at their Check to Acquire. At the end of the scenario you get to rebuild your character deck, at which point you may choose to keep any of the cards you've acquired as a permanent slot in your deck.

That is kinda what i though but I had to ask.
