sorry for Hijack topic but i have fallowing question

let's assume that's Troll use full attack action on mentioned cat
with his Trident , he hit with his 1 strike but his weapon is "stuck"

now the question

can he continue attacking with his natural attacks ? (let's assume his in range for those )
or his Full atack action is interrupted because he "lost" his weapon ?

Hello there friends i was looking through forum but i cant seems find answer for my question

One of my players want to take 1 lvl Dip in School Savant for teleportation subschool
then he want take School understanding exploit with his Exploiter Wizard to stack his Wizard lvls with Arcanist lvls for determining the powers and abilities of her arcane school

it is legal by rules?
because when i was looking at arcanist i saw that clause

"A school savant cannot select the school understanding arcanist exploit."

his argumentation is that although School Savant can't take school understanding technically speaking he's using his wizard to take it
so its ok
sorry for Bad english :)

Hello, everyone
Had this come up in my game the other day and couldn't find a suitable answer on Google, so I'm here.

School evocation [force]
spell Tiny Hut creates unmoving, opaque sphere of force

Can I assume that Incorporeal creatures can't enter it ?

Tiny Hut:
Tiny Hut
School evocation [force]; Level bard 3, sorcerer/wizard 3

CASTING
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M (a small crystal bead)

EFFECT
Range 20 ft.
Effect 20-ft.-radius sphere centered on your location
Duration 2 hours/level (D)
Saving Throw none; Spell Resistance no

DESCRIPTION
You create an unmoving, opaque sphere of force of any color you desire around yourself. Half the sphere projects above the ground, and the lower hemisphere passes through the ground. As many as nine other Medium creatures can fit into the field with you; they can freely pass into and out of the hut without harming it. However, if you remove yourself from the hut, the spell ends.

The temperature inside the hut is 70° F if the exterior temperature is between 0° and 100° F. An exterior temperature below 0° or above 100° lowers or raises the interior temperature on a 1-degree-for-1 basis. The hut also provides protection against the elements, such as rain, dust, and sandstorms. The hut withstands any wind of less than hurricane force, but a hurricane (75+ mph wind speed) or greater force destroys it.

The interior of the hut is a hemisphere. You can illuminate it dimly upon command or extinguish the light as desired. Although the force field is opaque from the outside, it is transparent from within. Missiles, weapons, and most spell effects can pass through the hut without affecting it, although the occupants cannot be seen from outside the hut (they have total concealment).

from universal monster rules :

Incorporeal:
An incorporeal creature has no physical body. It can be harmed only by other incorporeal creatures, magic weapons or creatures that strike as magic weapons, and spells, spell-like abilities, or supernatural abilities. It is immune to all nonmagical attack forms. Even when hit by spells or magic weapons, it takes only half damage from a corporeal source (except for channel energy). Although it is not a magical attack, holy water can affect incorporeal undead. Corporeal spells and effects that do not cause damage only have a 50% chance of affecting an incorporeal creature. Force spells and effects, such as from a magic missile, affect an incorporeal creature normally.

An incorporeal creature has no natural armor bonus but has a deflection bonus equal to its Charisma bonus (always at least +1, even if the creature’s Charisma score does not normally provide a bonus).

An incorporeal creature can enter or pass through solid objects, but must remain adjacent to the object’s exterior, and so cannot pass entirely through an object whose space is larger than its own. It can sense the presence of creatures or objects within a square adjacent to its current location, but enemies have total concealment (50% miss chance) from an incorporeal creature that is inside an object. In order to see beyond the object it is in and attack normally, the incorporeal creature must emerge. An incorporeal creature inside an object has total cover, but when it attacks a creature outside the object it only has cover, so a creature outside with a readied action could strike at it as it attacks. An incorporeal creature cannot pass through a force effect.

An incorporeal creature’s attacks pass through (ignore) natural armor, armor, and shields, although deflection bonuses and force effects (such as mage armor) work normally against it. Incorporeal creatures pass through and operate in water as easily as they do in air. Incorporeal creatures cannot fall or take falling damage. Incorporeal creatures cannot make trip or grapple attacks, nor can they be tripped or grappled. In fact, they cannot take any physical action that would move or manipulate an opponent or its equipment, nor are they subject to such actions. Incorporeal creatures have no weight and do not set off traps that are triggered by weight.

Thx for all the answers:)

small bit information on Arcane Bond
"If a bonded object's owner dies, or the item is replaced, the object reverts to being an ordinary masterwork item of the appropriate type."

But what if the wizard is bring back to life? If I enchant a bonded ring with ring of invisibility and protection effects will I get those enchantments back upon returning to life or are they gone for good?

by RAW i think nope :( but im not 100% sure about it

Zarius , blood money is not allowed Because cheese yes ?

Zarius wrote:

As to blood money, it IS a class feature technically. However, that's a blatant cheese and would invalidate the duel.

but what about Planar binding ?

you know... Wizard can have a lot free traps via Planar binding just look at this guy :

Traper.

Ability:

A crucidaemon can use Disable Device to disarm magic traps. When it uses its greater glyph of warding spell-like ability to create a spell glyph, it may utilize any 6th-level or lower spell from the cleric or the wizard spell list, even though it otherwise can't cast these spells. The Perception and Disable Device DCs for any traps a crucidaemon creates gain a +2 bonus.

To be honest i don't see reason why wizard can't do the same thing

Planar Bind few Angel, Planetar and order them to go to each country affected by Rumormonger Rogue and use Diplomacy on King to send Assasins after rogue

Or better
Wizard can Find Other Rumormonger Rogue and dominate him to spread different rumors , repeat this step few times for funny results

Ofc Rogue can be Hit in Antymagic Field by Wizard with spells

example:
1) summon something with range attack (something with bow)
2)

effects of instantaneous conjurations are not affected by an antimagic field because the conjuration itself is no longer in effect, only its result

Snowball (lvl1)
Acidic Spray (lvl5)
Clashing Rocks (lvl9)

i think Daivrat PrC is legal he got a trick to take spells on his spell list

Daivrat.

and Pathfinder Savant PrC

Savant.

and i have no idea why you can't check 2 links i posted above about 2 arcana bond items

i dont think theres 100% raw that allows or disallows this

i can give you only this

Stacking :
Stacking refers to the act of adding together bonuses or penalties that apply to one particular check or statistic. Generally speaking, most bonuses of the same type do not stack. Instead, only the highest bonus applies. Most penalties do stack, meaning that their values are added together. Penalties and bonuses generally stack with one another, meaning that the penalties might negate or exceed part or all of the bonuses, and vice versa.

IMHO 2 arcana bond items can't stack

and 2 links about this topic

Link

Link

well you can't have 2 Arcane bond items sooo i would say whichever you got first (in this case Wizard) you must use rules related to that class you'r arcane bond belong

Familiar

1) What ways exist to advance the familiar to HD rather than Wizard level?

there is a feat Eldritch Heritage take Arcane bloodline and you will got familiar with progress your character lvl -2

2) yes

Drahliana Moonrunner in my honest opinion Your wrong
Ofc you can use this ability to create specific key to bypass disable device roll

go and read what it does ,but you can houserule whatever you want in your game if you don't like raw

for example he can create

Key:

Skeleton Key from Ultimate Equipment (pg 57)
Many door locks have a similar design and thus can be unlocked by a similar key. A skeleton key may be tried on any standard door lock that uses a key, even if you don’t have the Disable Device skill. You use the key’s Disable Device bonus of +10 rather than your own total; you cannot take 10 when using a skeleton key. The key only gets one roll for any particular lock. If the roll fails, the key is unable to open or close that lock. Inferior skeleton keys may only have a +5 bonus.

easy

Items you can create :
!!except table variation !!
Spyglass
Lockpick
Cup
Glass bottle (empty)
Flint
small mirror
Goggles, Smoked
dagger
Tool, Masterwork
etc

How to kill dragon in AmF with few simple steps !

1)"knowledge is power brother!"
first you need know what type of flying lizard your faceing !
because knowing it elemental immunity is important

2)now when we have knowledge we can use this :
Animate Dead and animate 20 of small yet deadly Beheaded, Belching flying undead skulls *

*you will need scroll of descerate if you want animate 20 of them in 1 casting cuz 1 belching Beheaded count as 2hd worth of undead

this small dudes got range touch attack 1k6 Elemental Dmg (EX) !!

Link
http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/undead/beheaded/severed-h ead/severed-head-belching

3) hide them in bag of holding

4)Pray that dragon don't attack you 1th

now to real stuff !

20 Skulls are weak and susceptible to AoE dmg
but.... since Dragon used AmF ... He can't use AoE !!

our friends got 1k6 dmg each with 20 of them = 20k6 in 1 round (more or less) even if dragon start killing it , he can't kill more then ~1 in round

my 2 cents :)
(ofc this tactic won't work 100% with all dragons around... but it's reasonable to at last try it :) )

37 (not real its just joke )
Dire potato !
and

38

Dire tomato !

you can guess how it look like

cant you just ... go around corner Cast invisibility then go and cast slient ,still spell ? or this "floating magic thingy" is visible even if your invisible ?

or you can cast Eneveration few times to kill it

who said it was Wizard ? :) it was Magus with spell strike ;p

Luthorne not only in small town you have a lot Divination spell to use on your AM after marking someone

If you marked his coat for example you can use Locate Object to find it

even if he have Knowledge (arcane) or Spellcraft. he need first roll dice for failure or success :

ofc its not 100% fool proof but it's valid tactic

Also AM can be invsible and poor Vigilante wont even know that he got marked until its tooo late

-player : i Cast AM and punch this masked dude in face !
then i go around town with See invisibility spell ON so i can easy see the person with mark if he's somewhere here

i suggest charm monster
followed by
fox cunning
followed by
telepathic bond

Wizard with Sage Archetype can cast any divine spell as Arcane

Arcane Savant ‎Prestige Classes‎ can give you few healing spells
and Magaambyan Arcanist can grant few to

yep there is http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/general-feats/false-focus

Not really it's work like Animate Dead with this exception " only create a single Small or Medium skeleton or zombie. "

its not free :)

you can Always VMC Oracle and take Skill at Arms* revelation from Battle mystery then your qualify for Eldrich Knight without need for 1 lvl in fighter

*Skill at Arms (Ex): You gain proficiency in all martial weapons and heavy armor.

well you answered your own question :)

why you think my games are " Care-Bear game where nobody ever dies and everybody always wins," ?
Failure implies consequences in my games

in Pathfinder death is pointless with all Resurrection magic it only hits your $

small advice: try World of Darkness games and you will see that Death it's just a drop in the ocean of possibilities as punishment for losing :)

PS: i rly rly like adding smiling faces ! :)

to be honest i dont see point in killing PC's .
What's fun about killing a PC that player spend a lot of time and effort to create it ? especially with very good backstory

i often offer 2 choices

1)Your always fall unconscious if you'r "killed" *
or
2)Hero Points to avert cruel fate like this

*
about 1) if your playing rly rly dumb... for example killing all npc's for fun then your not protected by this rule

or after whole party get "unconscious" in combat and BBG of story have absolutely no reason to keep you alive

My advice is Use CMB of person the reason is :
it's more reasonable don't you think ?

"how well she tied him up ? "

Animate Big fat Worm(with burrow ofc) as zombie then put your army in his/it belly

"This special ability can be placed only on melee weapons" your net is melee weapon ?

In my book Net is exotic ranged weapon

Guards with Trained Bats on shoulders that will make sound everytime they see someone in guarded places

for this Build Up there that mr Covent post
take this funny item Goblin Fire Drum +1 point of fire damage per die

Vampire template have Change Shape as SU in to dire bat or wolf

yep its not humanoid but... :D

how cool is Vampire Dragon heh ?:)

other option you can use but not what excatly you want
6 lvls of druid and Wild Shape in to small Elemental

My suggestion kill him when he go sleep with shrinked Stone

fly high with your stone , drop it , say command word for unshrinking and watch divine punishment or if you think 1 stone is not enough , take whole bag of stones

second option :
Your lvl 7 wizard necromancer right ?
just prepare 3x times Eneveration and cast on him

you're aware that even non casty-casty can craft magic items with proper feats ?

Wand of Eneveration is rly good to kill big bad enemies
+ nice debuff option

Baja1000 wrote:
Believe me, was expecting that. But turns out Ancient Red Dragon don't come with Fly-By attack and this dragon was just from the book. Total Defence was meant to help with that somewhat since Dodge goes into CMD but it never came into effect.

ohh Ancient Red Dragon ? this Ancient Red Dragon with see invisibility in his stated Sorcerer spell knowns ? and spell truning that is even better spell then AMF

then this dragon wont have problem to locate your invisible Wizard/Cleric party members

This ancient Red Dragon that have Crush (Ex) ? and can just land on your face that forces you to Reflex Save or be pinned, automatically taking bludgeoning damage during the next round unless the dragon moves off them. ?

Arcaian .... And who is most Logical Threat ? Fighter that cant fly or Wizard with possibilities of alter reality ?
(MMO was just analogy )
and i'm agree that dragon would go search for wizards and dont care at all about 2 randoms on ground thats what i was in mind by Threat Priority

the one who disagree is Baja1000

look what he wrote and what i wrote

ok its logical to cast Antymagic Field for this Dragon that saw 2 wizard but its absolutly not logical for him to just sit near fighter and paladin AND thats the WHOLE POINT here

Baja1000 wrote:
Dragon was going to fly after a person he couldn't see? I know i said to find a flaw but you seem to be kind of reaching...
Me wrote:

drop wizard and cleric example he don't need to search for them cuz he don't care he's afterall soooooooo arogant and soooooooo mighty

that was clearly sarcasm

you point is moot to :) you Beat Dragon cuz your DM played it like dumbass mock from random dungeon

why bring mislead? dunno... cuz its on Dragon Spell list and its better then cast Antymagic Field ?

Turn 1 Dragon cast Mislead its better version of invisible
Turn 2 he burned your fighter and paladin

Easy enough ?

second Ancient Copper Dragon got some cool tricks like frightful presence (300 ft., DC 27)

Failed save ? your fighter just run like chicken away from dragon
(maybe even wizard and cleric )

another thing
you know that Dragon DR is (SU) ? and he will lost it in antimagic Field ?

even less reason to go toe to toe with Archer Paladin

ehhhhhh

Baja1000 even played any MMO ?
if no , then your not knowing what is Threat priority

Dragon is Smart and dragon know that something that cant fly cant kill him

Dragon know that for example Wizard can kill him cuz of IMB'a spell

why he should waste this precious time to fight 2 weaklings on the ground?

drop wizard and cleric example he don't need to search for them cuz he don't care he's afterall soooooooo arogant and soooooooo mighty

why he waste his precious time to smash few ants that can't do anything to him in first place ?

he got a lot of spell , why dont start fight with something more usefull then Antymagic field in first place ?

when you go to work... and suddenly you saw few ants on street
you
A) go to work ignore ants ?
or
B) smash ants ? work can wait !

and the most sad part about your plan ? your Falling boulder plan would not work if Dragon never used Antymagic Field in 1th place

Boomerang Nebula i agree toooo! legitimate tactic if your Dragon is nothing more than Arrogant idiot

what metagame ? HE saw 4 people 2 of this people just vanish its clearly a trap !!! its called common sens not metagame

mourge40k why dragon cast in first place Antymagic Field ? its common dragon tactic or something ?

Mislead is better option

"Presumably because that's what they usually do because of your magnificence. Yes, it may be a trap, but what are they going to do to you when you're in your antimagic field?! "

this argument...

Ohhhhhh I'm sooooooo strong why i even cast any spell at all ? i know i just go there without useing wings cuuuuuuz i'm strong and i will just stomp on them

Again , he saw 4 ppl correct ?

2 vanished ...

Its a trap

why Dragon Carelessly approach reamaning 2 ?

dont know what kind of Dragon your party fought but for exmaple dragon in OP topic got in his Spell knows Mislead

so even if he would charge your reaming 2 party members like idiot why not cast it before to screw you more :)?

why you assume that dragon is dumb and he will go clearly as you like it to ?

2 People from part of 4 just vanished Its clearly trap , why should i charge like an idiot ?

"Dragon saw all party"

Dragon is not Tarrasque

because he saw 4 people and 2 vanished , its clearly a trap of somekind?

you can make perception check to spot anything without dragon sens you know :) ?

less initiative yet more raw speed

"Overland Flight This spell functions like a fly spell, except you can fly at a speed of 40 feet"

Dragon got speed of fly 200 ft. (poor)

even if your party move 1th soooo what ? fly 40 in any direction won't help you toooo much

1th round of combat
your party wizard and cleric cast invisible and fly 40ft in random direction

Dragons initiative now , ok he fly where he assume the invisible cleric and wizard can be

dragon got something arount Perception +32, - 20(-40 if you don't move at all ) from invisibility

in my book he got pretty good chances to spot Wizard and cleric and Shred them to pieces

ok,ok cant fly by flame thrower with antimagic, by but there is absolutely no reason to cast AntiMagic Field if first place if this dragon see only 2 mans with no magic capabilities

i see only 2 fighters on ground ! full plate and another full plate !

hmmm no wizards around ?

just fly by flame throw them !

why should i Smart dragon use Anti Magic field if i dont see any Magic threat present at stage hmmm ?

Baja1000 wrote:
...

i see big flaw here, in your example your dragon just sit on his ass and don't move from his place

why rly, rly, rly inteligent dragon just sit there with your fighter and Paladin ? Tea Time or something :D ? normal dragon would just fly by Flame Throw your little party
