Present.
Luanna can provide healing both using Medicine Skill and mystic cure spells. She's not much of a fighter, however, so she will try to stay away from melee and contribute with spell attacks and small arms.

Also present!
I can aid medicine and have an ability to give fast healing and temp HP.

Lucky for you, I'm largely a tank!

Welcome, Zarzucket 3. Surprisingly our two characters are almost identical, both Star Shaman Mystics with the same spells.
Once we've seen who else is playing, I might swap Luanna for a 1st level soldier I have or maybe a solarian. If we're going to be doing gladiatorial type combat, we need one medic-mystic, but not two.

Alright. I'm still hoping for one more player to join, so let's aim for a Monday start

I have 2 choices for characters to play. I had originally signed up for this game months ago with a character named GRIM*! whose lifelong goal is to outdo Zo! which is why I wanted to play them in this adventure, but GRIM*!'s tied up playing another scenario currently. I have 2 options,
1: Normally I wouldn't make a twin character but the idea of playing the Brothers GRIM*! is appealing and would fit great in the plans to outdo Zo! in a pro wrestling version of "The Prestige" way keeping the identity of their twin hidden. The GRIM*! brothers are Sepulchral Evolutionist pro wrestling video personalities made to fit a scenario like this one.
2: Is to play Pockets who also is a safety inspector.
Bluff: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
which could be interesting with Oshari Soteria, Health & Safety in the party. Although this could lead to Pockets getting arrested, or becoming an official safety inspector, not sure which would be worse for Pockets. This could also lead to some fun good cop/bad cop situations where Pockets and Oshari work together, but that might be more fun to play out in a different scenario.

Is GRIM*! brother all set? I personally think Pockets would also be quite hilarious to have, though your GRIM backstory seems quite unique for this adventure.

I'm here, I'm here!
Apologies for being last... been PaizoConning all weekend. :)

Perhaps after this adventure, we could find a good scenario for safety inspectors, and I could switch back to Pockets.

I was playing Pogo in the recent Settling Accounts game with Oshari.
Hey, good to see you again! I think we're also in the Flooded King's Court game together too.

*gasp* Another safety inspector?

*gasp* Another safety inspector?
A young Ysoki wearing an orange reflective vest covered in pockets, and a hard hat carrying a datapad that doubles as a clipboard. On his vest, there is a big name tag saying "SAFETY INSPECTOR." Pockets stuffs a few pieces of candy in his cheek pockets while introducing himself.
"The names Pockets, My mother calls me Pockets, station security calls me Pockets, you can call me Pockets too. Can you imagine how safe the mission will be with 2 safety inspectors in the same party?"Pockets pauses to think about that
"But unfortunately, I can't make this mission I got a form 1098-c49-b to fill out from the last mission.
Bluff: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
Sadly 2 people died on that mission, I tried to warn them, I even marked the area off with safety tape with big letters saying ((((DO NOT ENTER SAFETY HAZARD!)))) Some people just never listen, what can you do..."
Pockets taps his trusty data pad, it's hard to see what the form says but it has lots of checkboxes.
"I can't believe how many checkboxes forum 1097-c48-d or whatever it's called has, this is going to take me at least a week to fill out. Hopefully, we meet again for another mission, Good luck on this mission, I'm sure there's nothing to worry about, what could go wrong?"
Pockets pass Oshari Soteria his business card, then whispers.
"We should work together sometime, I bet we could score some big safety fines together!

I still need two of you to fill out the RPG Chronicles and the slides (init, perception, token), could you please do that?

I'm going to be on a trip this weekend with little time to post. 'Bot Xoni if necessary. I'm not sure she'll be able to be very entertaining, as she tends to be polite and is not much practiced at trash talking opponents. She tends to let her weapons do the talking in a fight and rarely has opportunities to interact first.
I'll roll an intimidation check here, in case things move along before I get a chance to post, probably next Monday.
Intimidate: 1d20 ⇒ 19
Not bad. I'll try to think of something appropriate to post when I can.

![]() |

Sorry, had a hectic few days, I'll get a post up tomorrow.

It might help if someone who is not able to contribute much to combat would look at the recipes if they have already been provided. It might affect how we attack each creature to avoid mutilating the body in a way that might hinder the food to be prepared with the remains.

Good call, GRIM*!'s tactics tend to lead to meat tenderizing

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Gratuitous advertisement for Zo! vs Zo
I'd love to play that sometime, Jek is the only character I have high enough level for that, but Jek is tied up ordering pizza currently.

For reference: Zero-G rules
Zero Gravity
Movement in zero gravity (also referred to as zero-g) is not the same as flight. Controlled movement is difficult without some form of propulsion, and creatures without something to push off from often find themselves floating aimlessly. A creature in a zero-gravity environment can’t take move actions to move its speed, crawl, or take a guarded step. If a creature is adjacent to or in the same square as an object (including a wall, floor, or ceiling) or another creature one size category smaller than itself or larger, it can take a move action to push off that object or creature, moving at half its land speed in a direction of its choosing (as appropriate); if that object or creature is movable, it begins moving in the opposite direction at that same speed.
Moving in Zero-G: A creature that moves in a given direction continues to move in that direction at the same speed at the beginning of its turn each round (without taking any action); it must move the full distance unless it is able to change its motion by latching on to an object or creature, pushing off in a new direction, or creating thrust of some kind (all of which are considered move actions). If a creature runs into a solid object during its movement, it must succeed at a DC 20 Acrobatics or Athletics check to safely stop its movement; failure means that creature gains the off-kilter condition (see page 276). If a creature runs into another creature during its movement, both creatures must each attempt a DC 20 Acrobatics or Athletics check to avoid gaining the off-kilter condition. A creature anchored to a solid object (such as by the boot clamps available with most armor) receives a +4 bonus to this check. An off-kilter creature in a zerogravity environment can steady itself as a move action that requires a surface to grab on to or some method of propulsion; alternatively, that creature can throw a single item weighing at least 4 bulk (for Medium creatures; 2 bulk for Small creatures) to reorient itself and remove the offkilter condition.
If provided with sufficient handholds, a creature with a climb speed can move along a wall at full speed, as can any creature that succeeds at a DC 20 Acrobatics or Athletics check. Creatures that fly via methods that require an atmosphere, such as wings or turbofans, can’t use their fly speeds in a vacuum; once they reenter an atmosphere, they can recover and get their bearings within 1d4 rounds, after which they can fly normally. Magical flight and methods of flight that provide their own thrust, such as jump jets (see page 206), are not affected. A character in a zero-gravity environment can lift and carry 10 times her normal amount.
Weapons: Thrown weapons have their range increments multiplied by 10 in zero-g. In addition, all ranged weapons no longer have a maximum number of range increments—their wielders simply continue to accrue penalties the farther away the target is.

I'm on the road much of Sunday and Monday, but I'll try to put my moves in by Sunday evening (EDT). If I can't for some reason, feel free to bot Miink.

![]() |

And now I'm off to Gen Con from Wednesday through Monday. I'll keep up as best I can, but feel free to bot Miink if I don't get a post in.

![]() |

I'm back from Gen Con. WOOT!!
I'll catch up posting by tomorrow. Thanks for your patience!

![]() |

@GM — In my last post before Gen Con, Miink planned to hold onto Xoni and (using Scurry) essentially ‘ride’ them through the first part of the movement.
Did that work or do is she starting movement from the airlock?
(Apologies about the continued delay... the last few days have been crazy.)

AbadarCorp Entertainment |

I'm fine with that if Xoni is ok with it

![]() |

I will be at a convention and probably not able to post until Sunday afternoon or evening. 'Bot Xoni if needed. She will try to hit with her rifle any targets at a distance, but will you her doshko if any close on her.

![]() |

I came down with COVID over the weekend, so my posting will be less frequent for a few days. I'll try to make sufficient posts to keep things moving, but 'bot me if needed. My symptoms are not life threatening, just annoying (sore throat, some coughing, slight fever). Hope to be better soon.

![]() |

Thanks to our GM for running a great game. It was delightful playing with you all! Hope to see you around a virtual table again. :)

![]() |

@GM -- Did you send the chronicle sheets? Been having email trouble this week and wanted to make sure I didn't miss them. Thanks!

I’m hoping to get chronicles out today

No rush -- just making sure my tech didn't "help" me miss something.
Thanks again for running!

AbadarCorp Entertainment |

Chronicles are here! Let me know if everything is ok.
I have a new laptop, so the usual pictures will have to wait a bit until I have my usual toolset installed.
With the closing ceremonies over, you head back to the green room to collect your things and then meet up with Radaszam. "Well done and smartly fought. That will show the Pact Worlds the resourcefulness of the Starfinders. And don't worry, you will get your take of the winnings per the usual agreement. The Society is more worried about the PR than credits right now"
Radaszam offers refreshments and listens to you retell tales from their journey. The journey to Absalom Station only takes 3 days, at which point Radaszam escorts you to the Lorespire Complex for a more thorough debriefing with First Seeker Luwazi Elsebo.
Within the Lorespire Complex, Radaszam leaves you in a waiting room while he goes to confer with First Seeker Luwazi Elsebo prior to the debriefing. As you wait, you notice a well-stocked and eerily familiar food assortment waiting on the currently abandoned reception desk. Investigating the basket, you also note that one of the vidscreens behind the reception desk is active and displaying a live news feed. A ryphorian news anchor explains that the Stewards are investigating an incident involving a shuttle explosion over Eox that claimed the lives of several Pact Worlds citizens and the rival team on Pact World Warriors. While the investigation has yet to conclude, there’s some leaked evidence that may point to the Starfinder Society’s involvement.
At that moment, a shirren arrives with a second basket for the food arrangement, as well as an accompanying letter. One of the apples in the second basket has a single bite taken out of it, and the unsigned card that accompanies the basket reads: “I don’t like people who fail me, but I’m really starting to like all of you.”
The shirren courier has no information on who arranged the basket, only that it was commissioned through funds associated with AbadarCorp. Further investigation into the delivery yields no results.

![]() |

I forgot how creepy and ominous the end to that scenario felt at the time -- and I completely forgot the shuttle "accident" part. Datch was an amazing villain.
Thanks again to our GM for running and to the team for making it memorable!!

![]() |

Xoni speculates that the group giving the Starfinders a bad name perhaps hired the other team hoping to embarrass the organization further. Apparently, failure is not acceptable to these villains. She selects some items she thinks her kids will like, thanks the others for a good mission, and heads home to be with her family.

![]() |

"This basket doesn't make any sense we didn't fail. I'm glad we beat the other team but I didn't want them to blow up. I will not be kind to who did this."
GRIM*! calles Xylavol to bring the camera and then live streams a message.
"Hello Pact Worlds very sad day, the team we just beat in a fair fight blew up in a shuttle explosion over Eox. If I find who did this I WILL BE VERY GRIM*! TO THEM!
GRIM*! pauses looking very sad
"If you have any info please feel free to contact me, oh, my producer is telling me to say don't forget to like and subscribe. Later today I'll try to post a video of me working off my anger at the gym."

![]() |

Vega is also very sad about the fate of the other team and agrees with GRIM*! that someone is going to have a really bad day when they find out who was responsible.
Chronicle looks good although I did apply 2 GM credits to this PC after the game started so the start XP and GP are wrong. I'll fix it later.
