Pathfinder Provisions ◆◇↺

Gruntarr isn't quite able to connect.

Kamil, however, discovers that injuring the things is much easier when they're away from corners.

The hound glares at Cassandra and snarls something very rude in Aklo. Seeing that she can't possibly swing fast enough to catch it again (because she's used her Reaction this round), it bites Gruntarr again. It then stops to work a spell. It starts to move faster.
◆ Strike Cassandra/Gruntarr: 1d2 ⇒ 2 Jaws: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (15) + 17 = 32 for piercing damage: 2d10 + 7 ⇒ (5, 4) + 7 = 16, ◆◆ Cast haste

The other quickly steps back towards the pillar, immediately regaining its strength as it does. It also pauses to use the quickening magic.
◆ Step, ◆◆ Cast haste

Itka and Cassandra's turns.
Initiative:
Cassandra (55/78)
Green Hound of Tindalos 1 (-105, bloodied, haste, invisible, undetected)
Gruntarr (43/92, immune to Ripping Gaze)
Manny (96/96, five feet up)
Kamil (58/64)
Purple Hound of Tindalos 2 (-21, haste, Ripping Gaze Fort DC 25)
Orange Hound of Tindalos 3 (-91, haste, bloodied, Ripping Gaze Fort DC 25, Personal Antithesis)
Itka (59/71)

Implement Interruption, Retributive Strike

Cassandra darts across the room to engage orange. She lashes out with her flail, the first strike goes well wide but the second may do something...

Strike 1 vs FF: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (2) + 16 = 18
Damage, Str, IE, WS: 2d6 + 4 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (4, 3) + 4 + 4 + 2 = 17

Strike 2 vs FF: 1d20 + 16 - 5 ⇒ (19) + 16 - 5 = 30
Damage, Str, IE, WS: 2d6 + 4 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (5, 6) + 4 + 4 + 2 = 21

Mortal Weakness adds the Weakness value to each damage roll. Personal Antithesis adds +5 damage to each damage roll.

A critical hit forces a DC21 Reflex save or the target is knocked prone

She then readies herself, just waiting for an opportunity to arise.

Reactions:

Retributive Strike: My ally gain Resist 9 All against the triggering attack.

Implement Interruption: Only works against my Exploited target, triggers on concentrate, manipulate or move actions.

In general Cassandra will prioritise using Retributive Strike rather than Implement Interruption.

Strike 1: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (7) + 16 = 23
Damage, Str, IE, WS: 2d6 + 4 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (6, 4) + 4 + 4 + 2 = 20

Itka dismisses the wounded hound. It howls as it bursts into smoke. She also tags the other one.
Orange had three hp. Redirecting the second attack to Purple.

Kamil hears the snarling hound appear next to him, though its still invisible. It reveals itself as it bites him. Now visible, he's able to avoid its claws. As badly wounded as the other, it dives back into the angle and reappears near the far pillar.

"Hey, Gabriel? You out there?" Manny calls out.

"I can't fight them. They are out of range, Brother."

Manny sighs, lands, switches to his Longbow. "Hey Cassandra, if you nudge that one like 5 feet to the east I can help out more."

Manny gives another courageous anthem to inspire his friends.

Venture-Captain, Online PBP

**HOUSE GM ANNOUNCEMENT**

“Done!” Heraxia shouts. “Get out of here before—” Heraxia’s words are cut off as she disappears completely, shuddering back into existence a few moments later with a tear-streaked face. Looking confused, she shakes her head, then eyes the vault door with determination. “Seal me inside the vault, then go!”

As the surviving Pathfinders flee through into the Maze of the Open Road, Venture-Captain Armeline and Eando Kline hurry to the vault door, dragging it shut and sealing Heraxia inside the ovoid chamber.

Pathfinders gather inside the Maze of the Open Road, bloodied but alive. As time passes, nervousness flutters through the crowd. Suddenly, Armeline and Eando tumble into the Maze, panting from exertion. “It’s done,” Eando grunts.

“Wait,” Armeline interjects. “We need to give her time to leave...” After a few minutes, Armeline steps through the portal that led to Akiton. She returns moments later, smiling. “It worked! The Maze of the Open Road is repaired. We did it!”

A cheer goes up among the Pathfinders.

“It’s time to go home.”

---------

The surviving Pathfinders travel through the Maze of the Open Road, back to Woodsedge Lodge. As medics tend the wounded and fresh food circulates among the returning heroes, Venture-Captain Armeline Jirneau takes the podium. “Congratulations, Pathfinders! Each and every one of you has performed exceptionally, showing bravery in the face of danger and teamwork throughout uncertain, desperate, and—let’s face it—downright strange events. You should be proud of yourselves.

“On behalf of myself, Heraxia, and the Pathfinder Society, thank you for your efforts. I can’t tell you what will happen with Heraxia and Felise, but your deeds here today will echo into an unknowably distant future. And as for the present, well, I’m sure everyone back at the Grand Lodge will be eager to hear the tales of what you have accomplished here today.”

That concludes the adventure! Thanks for playing, everyone, and especially all the Table GMs whose hard work made this event possible.

"Thanks Gabe." A chill wind blows across Manny as he stops concentrating on his magic. "Alright, let's get out of here." Manny encourages his friends to make way.

"Huh, Akiton. A bit odd for me, but alright. I guess there's a lot of mysteries left in this universe. Like that four armed lady..." Manny shrugs.

"Anyway, time for another concert. It's not often there are so many skilled musicians and performers in one location, right?"

Thanks for the game, everyone. It was a lot of fun playing alongside you.

"Hmp." Itka's irritated-- rather, *incredibly* grouchy-- that she hasn't been given clearance to spend some extra time in the library they investigated earlier (Safety. Hmp!), so she does Manny the favor of not attending his concert. There's no sense in souring an entire crowd with her presence when it's not his fault. Instead, she quarantines herself beyond the edge of the festivities, furiously taking notes on everything she can remember.
