The Portuguese translator with the sheets

It's a nice character sheet, but I didn't really like the last page with the magic on it, and I kinda wish for a more friendly one to print in black and white.

I could put a google drive link, but I don't know if it's legal to do that.

Maybe a direct link to the sheet instead of the page, please? I think I can see where the sheet is supposed to be, but that site is not mobile friendly.

Okay, I see it now. You have to sign in to get the download link, but you don't need to actually subscribe to anything.

Looks decent so far, though!

Brbrbrbrbrbr number uno! Brasillll!!!

But yeah now that I got that out of my system. It's pretty colorful, I hope for a regular non-colored one cause that will kill my paint...

I can't read anything (though I have a basic idea of what is what). Gotta say, hate the colors. It almost hurts my eyes to look all the dark blue and brown. I would have much preferred the coloring of either 1e or the playtest.

That's assuming this is the official version and not just a recreation of what the official looks like in Portuguese. Which it could very well be.

If it is the official official version then I won't be too hurt cause I used the filter on my phone to see it in black and white and it looks decent in that color.

It does seem official, just because of the page stamps being 624-627. That would be an odd thing to fudge.

Maybe on Monday when they do the character creation blog they can link the English one....

Okay, I'm going to break some of this down with the power of GOOOOOOGLE TRAAAAAAANSLAAAAATE! Just the bits I think are interesting though.

Up at the top, we have spaces for: Ancestralidade e Herança, Biografia, Classe, Tamanho, Tendência, Traços, & Divindade. Ancestry and Inheritance, Biography, Class, Size, Trend (tendency?), Traits, & Divinity.

Is "trend" what they call "Alignment?" Divinity is religion, but it is amusing to have what I would call "what sort of god are you?" there.

Some skills are neat. I didn't know the word Ladroagem, naturally. It is "thievery." INTIMIDAÇÃO shows up as "bullying," which is worth a smile there. "FURTIVIDADE" translates as "Furniture" according to Google, all hail the god of truth and lies. "OCULTISMO" is.... Ocultismo. Good job, Google.

In truth, divindade is "deity" as in "which deity you follow". Furtividade is Stealth (Furniture is "mobília", lol). And yes, tendência is as brazilians call the alignment.

But why are they counting down to July 1st instead of August 1st?

It's for their crowdfunding for the Print edition of the translation.

I figured as much. Putting "Religion" down on the character sheet is what I'm used to, but "Divinity" is also pretty neat sounding.

Furtividade made the most sense as Stealth, due to the word Furtive, but I couldn't just not mention the bad translation.

Also, traits? I'm guessing that means distinguishing features and not traits as we knew campaign traits to be.

Looks like that's the launch of the crowdfunding campaign for the translation work: "Financiamento Coletivo começa no dia 01 de Julho, 2019"

It makes sense now! There is already a sheet out in the wild, they don't lose anything by releasing the English one and next week's blog is a perfect place to preview the pages.

Plus, the poster who runs Dyslexic Character Sheets might not be able to count for getting a preview copy of the rules, but this could help their efforts in making their sheets ready to go.

I kind of don't like how much color is on it. Hopefully there will be a free download for a greyscale printer-friendly one.

Trust me, I'm all over this. :D

My sheets aren't anything like this one though.

If you guys want I could at least try to translate the whole sheet. Being brasilian kind of help getting some of the words xD

The direct translation of Alignment in portuguese is "Alinhamento" but here that word is usually used for a type of maintenance in the car. "Divindade" sounds right.

But I found interesting that the translators managed to keep the ABC for class creation, they did a fine job in the sheet, now let's see if I will not want to kill them in the translation of the core book.

That'd be awesome!

Sorry, I'm probably being dense, but can someone explain what exactly this is?

Did they get the official 2E character sheet somehow? Is it a player-made sheet?

They probably got the 2e core rulebook and bestiary ahead, to prepare a translation and get it out soon(tm).

They are the team that will do the portuguese(PT-BR) version of the book since they are working closely with paizo I doubt they would release it without permission. But it will be the official Portuguese version of the sheet yes.

Thanks for clearing that up!

I wonder if they actually got permission to release that ahead of time. I don't know about any such permission we'd have on the German translation team.

Yeah, they did! I talk to both translators (they are good guys and fans of PF).

Brazil will be the only country to launch 2ed simultaneously with Paizo

Congratulations to Brazilian friends! Last year, with an enormous effort, we were able to release the Playtest in Italian only in November. This time we decided to take more time and go out in April 2020. So again congratulations to Brazilian friends, they must have spent several sleepless nights to be able to reach such goal!

There's a bit of bad blood with PF1 here. Devir got the license by the end of pf life cycle and released almost no books. So they probably want both recognition and to show they will do a good job. They already released a few of the starfinder books.

We certainly did not sleep well in May and the same will happen until August 1st...

But every minute worth it!

We're big fans of the game and all the team is working hard!
