This is what I see so far. Please let me know if I've missed anything. Also, be sure to include in your backgrounds if you plan on being a local or are traveling through. I'll put some NPC's on the boards for you to see, and maybe include, as well.

I submitted Skalla earlier in the thread, half-orc skald who is somewhat local (settled in Phaendar some years ago and is teaching the local kids).

Brewing up a Dwarven Fighter for this. Currently without any campaigns:( and need my pbp fix

I'll have the PC completed tomorrow.

I can access both the map and the who's who!

I can see both the maps and the Who’s Who links.

Good luck everyone!

Lol, I'm making him a damned NPC!

Yep, can also see both the map and the Who's Who page.

Okay, this is Ollie-Twist's submission for a tiefling unchained rogue, I believe everything should be here, but please let me know if there's anything I'm missing!

Good luck everyone, these characters all look like a lot of fun.

I have a question. How did you get to +5 for your dagger? Isn't BAB for Rogue 2/3?

Edit: Nvm, I see the Weapon Focus on Dagger, didn't notice that before. My bad.

Hey, it's ‘Eκάτη.

I would like to introduce Tariq Vestgeir to you. The Vestgeir family is quite large, has its roots in the north and stretches over the entire expanse of the former Old Cheliax (in other words, this is not my first character with such a surname). His very distant relative, whom he does not even know about, helped to overthrow the tyranny in Korvosа, and now he himself will fight for the people of Nirmathas!

Story:

Life is not always fair. Tariq clearly experienced this for himself when his squad was ambushed near Fort Ramgate. He was one of the few who managed to retreat from that ambush. Survivors went to the nearest village, but the enemy came there too. A tough and merciless enemy.

Hobgoblins...

Tariq remembers. He remembers the faces of his soldier friends, none of whom returned. He remembers the faces of the villagers, whom he wounded went out to protect along with a couple of comrades. He remembers how something heavy hit his head and he, who was still weak after the last fight, lost consciousness. He doesn't remember anything further. Then consciousness returned to him. He remembers the pain. He got out from under a pile of bodies near a burned village. Devastated, almost broken.

Ramgate Massacre...

He did not lose faith in his archon patron Tanagaar, nor did he lose in the depths of his soul the desire to protect the innocent. But the belief in whether he is capable of this, whether he will be of any use, has been shaken. Now he lives in the small town of Phaendar, away from heroic deeds and military exploits, helping here and there and not asking for much in return. Residents of the city know him as a kind, sympathetic but extremely withdrawn person who avoids looking people in the eye. This handsome man, who does not pay attention to the looks of some young beautiful girls, constantly turns the events of the past in his head. He has learned a lot about Ironfang, survival in the wild and even magic, has become a better swordsman, and yet ... he cannot decide to return to a places where blood will flow and human lives may depend on him.

And perhaps Tariq would never have been able to take this step, but fate and his heavenly patron were preparing something else for him...

Mechanics:

Tariq is a TWF Paladin. Artful Dodge allows him to use intelligence instead of dexterity for the prerequisites of feats, so he is an amazingly intelligent paladin. Tortured Crusader archetype just perfectly reflects what he had to go through and also gives him the opportunity to have more skills and makes the game for this character more diverse. Self-Doubting drawback emphasizes the feeling of fear, which is very deeply hidden from outsiders, of letting everyone down and not saving anyone again. By the way, the compaign trait is Ironfang Suvivor.

Kukri as a weapon were chosen because it is the favorite weapon of his divine patron, Tanagaar.

I think that gradually, with the growth of levels, the combination of TWF and the ability to have additional smites by spending LoHs will make him an impressive melee fighter. And I like that from the very beginning, this is a character with a wide range of skills, which is very unusual for a paladin.

He's a pretty dark character, but he's still Lawful Good, which makes him especially interesting for such an adult story like the war.

Alright, here's my Halfling Oracle converted over from Fetchling. It turned out to be a major overhaul. I decided to dump the Shadow mystery for Succor instead. So the character is less caster-centric.

I built out the Halfling talents for aid another some and added Dual-Cursed as well. Now Wyssal can handle party support/buffing in combat and healing, as well as debuffing.

It was hasty work getting it done, so it probably needs a last edit to catch errors.

Do I need to be completely done tomorrow night, or can I have a rough draft in and finish by Saturday?

Background:

The Thrice-Damned House Thrune, the Imperial Family of Cheliax, has been known to produce tiefling scions from time to time. An aasimar, however, is almost unheard of. That made Titania's birth all the more vexing to Abrogail II's cousin when his wife gave birth to not a pureblooded Chelish human or a devil-touched tiefling as might be expected from those that dabble with the infernal fiends, but an azata-blooded aasimar with silver hair and ruby eyes. Divinations proved that the child was indeed his, and thus began the deliberations on what to do with this oddity of a child.

Titania's childhood was spent sequestered away in a remote villa owned by the imperial family. She was given a basic education that included lessons on the Infernal language and the Draconic tongue. It wasn't until she turned twelve that she met anyone besides her mother, her father, and her rather lackluster governess. She was given a handmaid, a young girl that was the bastard daughter of a duke that was looking for a way to get her out of sight and out of mind.

The handmaid, Gwendolyn, was raised by her a mother, a kind if unwise woman that had passed down the values she held dear to her daughter. So it was that when Gwendolyn met a very sheltered and lonely Titania, she made it her goal to be the young Thrune's friend. With a companion her own age, Titania opened up and began to exhibit the tendencies most of the musetouched share, a love of music and creativity. It was a happy period in the young girl's life that only lasted until Titania turned fifteen.

Seeing the changes in his daughter and having discussed it with his cousin, Titania's father decided that she would become a tool of the house, trained to eliminate the house's enemies. The day she turned fifteen, Titania was taken away and trained by Thrune's spymasters and assassins. For three grueling years, she learned how to move stealthily, to pick locks and disable traps, and to use a bow to deadly effect. During this training, she met other scions of House Thrune, and quickly learned that she was seen as little more than a curiosity or an embarrassment.

The night she turned eighteen, she was tasked with taking care of an intruder, one suspected of having ill-designs on one of the family's younger scions. She did as she was ordered, never thinking to question why she was the one tasked with taking care of the matter, or how someone made it onto the lands around the outpost and villas where House Thrune and its most loyal retainers trained their most potent and trusted weapons without anyone noticing. It was that naivety that she would later curse and blame herself for having.

She found the intruder and crept close enough to put an arrow through their lungs. The shot was not instantly lethal. She went up to confirm the kill, only to learn to her horror that the intruder was Gwyndolyn. She'd been left out in the wilderness near the outpost where Titania had been training. To make sure she could not call out or otherwise warn Titania about what was going on, a geas had been placed on her. With her life fading, the spell had done its work.

Titania wept and begged Gwyndolyn not to leave her. She begged her friend not to die and apologized over and over again. With the last of her strength, Gwyndolyn reached up and caressed Titania's face and smiled before dying in Titania's arms.

After that, Titania felt broken. She spent the next four years being moved around as her father tried to figure out what to do with her. She couldn't trust anyone or anything after what had happened, and she could feel that her family's patience with her was wearing dangerously thin. She had a few younger siblings now, and none of them showed the "celestial taint" she did. When she was moved to the northeastern border of Cheliax at the age of twenty-one, she took a chance and ran north into Molthune.

The next six months were a hellish experience for the young woman. She barely managed to survive, and then more through luck than skill. Pursuit from Cheliax for desertion was swiftly replaced by pursuit by Molthuni forces that saw her as a spy. She fled north into Nirmathis and the Nesmian Plains along the foothills of the Mindspin Mountains. Weary, half-starved, and her clothing and gear closer to rags and scrap than anything useful, she approached the small town of Phaendar.

Fate, as fickle as she is, had one last trick to play on Titania. She stumbled into the camp of a band of Ironfang Legion scouts a few miles from town just as the sun was setting. The hobgoblins chased her through the southern reaches of the Fangwood as she ran for her life until her pursuers cornered her. Desperate to live, she managed to kill a couple of them as she pushed through the ambush, but she only barely made it out of the trap they herded her into.

The people of Phaendar woke to find a bloodied and beaten Titania leaning on the railing of the bridge crossing the Marideth River. Rhyna and Noelan saved her from bleeding out and had to spend several minutes convincing Titania that she was in fact safe. Thinking it better to not use her real name, Titania introduced herself as Tot once she'd calmed down and had some control of her voice.

For the past two years Tot's been working as a cook at The Taproot. She's friendly with everyone, but is slow to reveal anything about herself. She appreciates that Jet lets her work at the inn for her keep. She sleeps in cubby in the kitchen that was converted to a bunk for her.

This was a quick recruitment.

I read "who's who". Probably (if GM allows it), I will add that most often in the city Tariq does various rough work specifically for Kining. Strangely, a cold dwarf with scars on her face and a detached man with scars on his soul silently find a common language. They didn't have a single friendly conversation, but they feel quite comfortable in each other's company.

Oh yes, and I didn't write describing the mechanics that the full character sheet is in my profile .)

Well... good luck to everyone! I keep my fingers crossed.

Chyrone's submission.

So many rogues, but oh well.

Herby, I present my submission: Gronilda, a dwarf from Kraggodan that came orphan into this world due to tragedy and has only found fulfillment in the natural community of Phaendar and the teachings of Erastil, after a life of toil and war.

Background:

Gronilda emerged into the world shrouded in mystery in the aftermath of tragedy, born amidst the rubble of a tunnel collapse that claimed her mother's life. The miners, convinced that a guardian spirit had touched the newborn, brought her to the priests of her parents' home in the dwarven city of Kraggodan.

Raised in the impressive halls of Torag's temple, Gronilda's early years were marked by a sense of disconnection, as the divine favor of the dwarven god eluded her, leaving her with a lingering emptiness within the cavernous depths.

Thrust into the chaos of the Goblinblood Wars, Gronilda took up arms alongside her dwarven kin, driven by a sense of duty and the need to prove herself. In the crucible of war, she discovered innate strength, honing combat skills, but also harboring a profound hatred for the goblinoid kin, marked by the fierce battles, but also by the loss of comrades and good dwarves she called family.

Yet, despite the valor displayed on the battlefield, Torag's blessings remained elusive, deepening Gronilda's sense of emptiness. Seeking new reaches in life, she worked hard to become a dwarven engineer after the war, but her inability to secure Torag's favor led to further adversity. When her clan's treasury was looted despite the locks and defenses she had built within, her insurmountable shame resulted in exile, forcing Gronilda to leave Kraggodan and find a new home.

Fleeing her past, Gronilda found solace in the lands of Nirmathas. Amidst nature, she discovered a profound connection, echoing the call of Erastil, the god of the hunt. Her experience in war granted her a place in the conflict against Molthune and her early teachings in the temple found her a space in Old Deadeye's church. Finding guidance in Noelan and Rhyna, she established herself in Phaendar, recently obtaining Erastil’s anointing, recognizing her as a true priest of the Stag God. Now, with newfound purpose, Gronilda stands as a beacon of Erastil's teachings, ready to defend her new home from whatever danger might emerge.

Appearance:

Gronilda, a robust dwarf of average stature, bears the marks of a life shaped by the forge and the crucible of war. She dresses her gray hair in a more care-free manner than most dwarfs, with only a couple small braids recalling her origin. Her weathered face is marked by a long scar inflicted by a particularly wicked hobgoblin during the Goblinblood Wars. With hazel eyes reflecting both resilience and determination, Gronilda stands ready, a fusion of veteran marked by war and a devoted priest, prepared to face the challenges of the Ironfang Invasion.

This is WabbitHuntr's submission.

He will fill the Tank role for the party and will be able to craft magic armor and at later levels weapons as well.

Just to double check, does Shifter count as a base class? The linked list of classes doesn't show it, but the sidebar just over yonder lists it.

I thought I'd give a bit more background to my character via a small scene. Enjoy!

Scratchy voice and prickly skin
Careful or he’ll peck again
Chicken monster gonna get you

”Sera! You stop singing that song right now! You show respect for all people, no matter what they look like! Run off now, scamp!”

”I’m sorry, love - where were we…..oh, him? Oh he’s the egg vendor, Chezzik. Don’t you mind his appearance. He’s a good sort, bless his soul. Simple, you know, but I think some of our youngsters come back from fighting those blasted Molthune clodhoppers with more than physical injuries, though Chezzik there, well, he got his share of that, too. The way I heard it - he got set upon by an ambush what broke his jaw and got shipped back from the frontlines to heal up. He ain’t been right since - he can’t speak properly. I hear him whistling and gurgling all the time - mainly to that mangy turkey he calls a pet. Dusty old sack of feathers - that thing is mean. Goes by the name of Grout.”

”Now don’t you mistake that strange nose of his for an injury - no. He’s one of them there cambion. I knew his mother, Veronia, Pharasma keep her. She was Chelish - claimed to have some distant lineage. Well, there’s your proof - that spiked nose thing Chezzik’s got, well, that’s not the only bony spikes growing on his body. That boy got into enough scraps in Phaendar growing up to make a quilt; he always came out on top. The boy might not look it, but he’s a wildcat in a fight. They say he got spikes on his knuckles. I don’t pay attention; I just know he’s gentle enough to deliver my eggs once a fortnight and that’s all I need know.”

”Now, I did hear something else about Chicken Monster - sorry, I mean Chezzik. I heard tell from Laurent’s youngest that Chezzik keeps a cloak over his shoulder all the time to hide a set of bird wings he has growing from his back! Now I’m not one to gossip but I must say that’s very interesting. Yes, very interesting indeed. Listen to me go on! Here you are, dear love - my spare knitting needles. You just borrow them as long you need. Have a blessed day!”

Here's the entry for Shadow Dragon. I haven't finished his backstory yet but he's a Foxclaw Scout working loosely with Phaendar and is in town for the festivities.
I might change the build to include the Sacred Huntsman template depending upon how many familiars, animals companions, etc. are in the group.

hate to be that person but it looks like you did miss a few, like Iosef (the middle aged human conjurer). just wanna make sure no one’s left from the list and everyone gets a fair shot. wishing everyone luck!

Ope. I did, thanks for pointing this out. Iosef, you were still in my thoughts.

Here's the rough draft of stats for Ouachitonian's submission. I decided to start in Swashbuckler, for the feats, mostly; I really wanted to take Breadth of Experience at 1, but as a Dex-based martial, he *needs* weapon finesse to function, and the fighter archetype I was considering replaces the L1 bonus feat. May go back to fighter later, may take the Duelist PrC eventually. The general idea is that he's an educated elven gentleman, who has grown bored of universities (despite becoming skilled with the blade in Lepidstadt's dueling circles) and come down to Nirmathas for the sort of experience you can't get in a library. (...ok, maybe he signed up for Molthune initially, but they weren't to his liking. He would be rather tight-lipped about that.) Writing out the background always takes me longer, but hopefully I can knock it out tomorrow.

If it helps to ease your mind to those you don’t choose you can always recommend the ones you don’t pick to other DMs so they can pick us up. That way, more people still get to play Pathfinder even if not specifically this game!

You missed Skalla again. Half-orc skald.

Dark Archive

Here’s my entry. I hope it isn’t too late!

Backstory/Hooks:

Trazgar was born among the orcs of Belkzen to a human mother and an orcish father. The former was a traveling adventurer who left not long after his birth and his father and the later was a tracker for his clan. Said clan, the Gorefists, were a smaller clan beset on all sides by rival orcs and were constantly seeking to prove themselves.

Trazgar quickly learned of the importance of strength, but held even greater value in his naturally deep and bellowing voice, which he often used when trying to intimidate potential threats. His penchant for screaming got him in a shouting match with the herald of a rival clan, one that lasted for so long it nearly blew out his vocal chords. Sadly, Trazgar ultimately lost the match and suffered a great blow to his pride.

Seeking to find a name for himself, he left his homeland for the neighboring land of Nirmathas. It was there that he hoped to find work as a bodyguard or mercenary against the various threats that troubled the poorly defended villages. All the better when he was captured by an Ironfang patrol. The harrowing experience gave nearly everything he needed: scars to prove his toughness, a great escape story to boast about, and a new hated foe to direct his violence and shouting.

After finding his freedom, the half-orc took on the moniker “Tuffgutz” as a way to advertise his prowess. He also dedicated himself to constructing great war banner, one that was tall enough for a foe to see coming from great distances and strike fear into any enemy who gazed upon it. The first decorations were three holy symbols: A symbol of Lamashtu left to him by his mother, a symbol of Gorum gifted to him by his father as a farewell gift, and a symbol of Cayden Cailean from an inquisitor that died during his rescue. Calling them the ”Rowdy Ruckus Pantheon,” Tuffgutz set out to honor their names in battle against the Ironfang.

Reasons for (Character) to adventure
- Find allies to build a warband capable of battling the great dangers of the land
- Collect war trophies to build the biggest, most frightening banner ever!

Special Abilities
--------------------
Intimidating Half-orcs receive a +2 racial bonus on Intimidate checks due to their fearsome nature.
Darkvision Half-orcs can see in the dark up to 60 feet.
Cliffside Charger Half-orcs with this racial trait can move through natural difficult terrain at their normal speed; magically altered terrain affects them normally. In addition, you gain a +10-foot racial bonus to speed while charging. This replaces orc ferocity and weapon familiarity.
Challenge Once per day, a cavalier can challenge a foe to combat. As a swift action, the cavalier chooses one target within sight to challenge. The cavalier’s melee attacks deal extra damage whenever the attacks are made against the target of his challenge. This extra damage is equal to the cavalier’s level. The cavalier can use this ability once per day at 1st level, plus one additional time per day for every three levels beyond 1st, to a maximum of seven times per day at 19th level.
Challenging a foe requires much of the cavalier’s concentration. The cavalier takes a –2 penalty to his Armor Class, except against attacks made by the target of his challenge.
The challenge remains in effect until the target is dead or unconscious or until the combat ends. Each cavalier’s challenge also includes another effect which is listed in the section describing the cavalier’s order.
Order Order of the Cockatrice.
Banner At 1st level, a cavalier’s banner becomes a symbol of inspiration to his allies and companions. As long as the cavalier’s banner is clearly visible, all allies within 60 feet receive a +2 morale bonus on saving throws against fear and a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls made as part of a charge. At 5th level, and every five levels thereafter, these bonuses increase by +1. The banner must be at least Small or larger and must be carried or displayed by the cavalier or his mount to function.
Tactician At 1st level, a cavalier receives a teamwork feat as a bonus feat. He must meet the prerequisites for this feat. As a standard action, the cavalier can grant this feat to all allies within 30 feet who can see and hear him. Allies retain the use of this bonus feat for 3 rounds plus 1 round for every two levels the cavalier possesses. Allies do not need to meet the prerequisites of these bonus feats. The cavalier can use this ability once per day at 1st level, plus one additional time per day at 5th level and for every 5 levels thereafter.

Mechanics in a nutshell:

Tuffgutz Gorefist is an unmounted melee cavalier with a mixture of beefy damage, support auras, and intimidation based debuffing. Future levels will include Dazzling Display, a few levels of Bard, and a full run of the Battle Herald prestige class to really lean into the image of a musclebound warrior barreling into terrified enemies while leading an epic charge!

And to top it off, here's a voice inspiration too :D

Indeed, good luck everyone!

That said, I think I'm going to respectfully withdraw from this recruitment. Things are a little hectic, and there's quite a good number of good options here, so I don't feel like I'd be letting anyone down.

Fair Travels! Kick arse!

Grand Lodge

Mine is correct

Good luck all

I figured out my net problem! Only took me all this week (a bit PF1e rusty).

Crunch should be done. Fluff is still be pieced together in my head, but making progress!

Ok, I got the background and stuff worked out for Lysander. One haughty elven swordsman, prepared to deign to spend a few more years living among the mayflies. They are, in some ways, less bothersome than his own people; after all, you just have to wait a few years for them to get bored and go away. Or die.

A small snippet of background info on Arrian has been added. I don't know the NPCs to add them in by name.

Not easy being green....

Good luck everyone! Hopefully the GM will be able to post his decision before the site goes down for maintenance tomorrow, but if not, we've got something to look forward to when it comes up on Sunday. :)

By the way, my submission looks correct.

Good luuuck!

I am hosting a high school D&D club after school today, so I will spend that time putting a group together. I hope to have that info out by the end of the night
