So a lot of players were submitted to this thread and five were chosen, but for the rest of us we're still looking for games to play.


Congrats for those being chosen! As for the rest of us, don't worry! I'll bring it up with the GMs Looking for Players thread, they'll probably be able to find campaigns for us.

This is what I have thus far. I plan on closing recruitment in a few hours and taking the rest of the week to put a party together. I am blown away at the amount of quality submissions, having expected only a few people be interested/willing to give it a shot.

If it helps to ease your mind to those you don’t choose you can always recommend the ones you don’t pick to other DMs so they can pick us up. That way, more people still get to play Pathfinder even if not specifically this game!

"Ugh, my head..."

The town of Lod, 4713 AR. The air is freezing as always, but deep within the underground basement of the Frost Drake Tavern a group of bandits have gone to work using magic to thaw the icy floor that the building rests upon. At the peak of the moon's motion across the sky however the bandits made a discovery: there was a girl within the ice, and she was alive!

"Great Baba Yaga, she's still alive!"

"How!?"

"Ugh, my head..." Covering her ears from the sudden provocation of the people who had dug her out of the ice, the Changeling woman got used to moving her body again after having been stuck in ice for so long. The last thing she remembered was her people being butchered in a massacre before being thrown in a pit of freezing water. She should have died, she thought... but her own body didn't let her. Her own god Sivanah didn't let her die.

"Your job on this realm is not done... sleep for now, and awaken when everything is right."

Well... now she was up. And the bandits were looking down to her in question of what to do. She wasn't dumb, she knew they'd be just as likely to kill her as much as they were likely to help save her. She'd need to try to be nice just so she could survive, and then perhaps she'd get answers about what time it was, and how long she had been out.

"What's your name?"

"Lalah Ha- err uh... Lunari. Yeah, Lalah Lunari." She had almost stated her last name in confusion, but replaced those words with the first thing she could pop into her mind, namely the moon after seeing the night sky out from a hole in the roof. It wasn't a perfect last name... but it did do the job for the moment.

"How are you feeling?"

"A bit cold... and confused. What are you all wearing? Are those banditry outfits? Lod's not been under bandit control since before I was born..."

"Since before you were born? Excuse me, but what year do you think this is?"

"...I honestly don't know. I'm guessing it's not 3937 though, right?"

"...It's the 4700s, ma'am. I'm not sure whether to trust you yet, but if you've really been frozen in ice for that long, it's been nearly 800 years since then."

"Oh."

Backstory:

Vienna Porke is a travelling bardic performer from the city of Longshadow, who has travelled her home nation of Nirmathas in order to try finding a place where her music can be enjoyed by all. While she occasionally visits back to her place of birth when she can, she more or less simply travels on her own with a donkey to carry her stuff and a trumpet to make the travel a bit lighter on her heavy stomach.

For a while, she used to travel with other bards of many different races as well, in a group known as the Brass Mugs. This included a Human violinist by the name of Marvin, a dwarf drummer from Highhelm named Copperbeard, a Sylph singer named Kiera and a elven dancer named Cerci. Among them, she held a particular attraction towards Copperbeard, and actually managed to get an engagement from him, to which she said yes.

However, it was not meant to be. While travelling on their way to Phaendar they tried making it through the Fangwood... only to come across a nightmarish plague of blighted fey that massacred them. Only her and Kiera survived, and even then they were on death's door when they actually made it to their planned town. And since Kiera's scars have left her completely unable to speak due to ruined vocal cords... only Vienna was still able to perform among her original group.

Due to the incident, and also not wanting to forget what she had been through Vienna made a new home in Phaendar while still travelling around the country. She tends to stay away from the Fangwood but otherwise she's still trying to put on a happy face. However, her ultimate goal is to eventually build up enough money to find someone who can cure the Blightburn, so that those who were affected by the Blight are no longer threatened by it.


Ok here’s my full concept for a character.

Vienna Porke is a Halfling Bard from the Fangwood Forest with the Blight-Burned Campaign Trait. They were part of a traveling bardic group that was planning to head to the town to play, but were plagued by the Darkblight and were infected by the Darkblight infection. She survived alongside the group’s drummer, but has a huge scar across her stomach from the infection and gets noticeably sick in regards to getting close to other sources of Darkblight. She still performs, but it’s now a solo act and because of that she’s stuck beating herself up that she couldn’t save more.

As a bard, it’s the base Bard with the spells Charm Person and Dazzling Blade as the Level 1 Spells and Detect/Read Magic, Message and Spark for Cantrips.


How would you feel about a Halfling Bard? Or perhaps a Dhampir Rogue? The former is no archetype, but the latter would be Counterfeit Mage and with possibility for Multiclass into Alchemist.


I have tried twice to play Extinction Curse and both attempts have managed to fizzle out in the first two sessions. Same goes for Kingmaker and Ruins of Azlant for both editions. I’d def like to try Ruins of Azlant again tho, either in 1E or 2E.

I have a Changeling Rogue, a Azarketi Fighter and a Sylph Ranger/Hunter (depends on the Edition) to bring in for such a game. I can also build a new character, but that will probably take a bit longer.
