So she'd definitely be the best person for the healing wand, especially since with a 10ft reach Rhiann can cover her approaching a hurt ally.

Adela Anastasia |

Ok. Liz has the Wand. Nothing else on the loot list Adela can use so sell it and get the Anti-toxin.
I think we're all ready to move on?

Rhiann Sokol |

On resolving the bandit issue, it's clear that keeping them at the fort as prisoners isn't something Oleg is comfortable with, and we kinda of need to be on good terms with him. Also the longer we hold on to the the greater chance one of them escapas and warns the others. The sooner we tackle the rest of them the sooner we can settle in and explore/solve local problems/quest.
We'll technically be exploring headed that way anyway and can take our time exploring the hexes in between on the way back.
Also, if it's more than a line or two of OOC text or meta about hexes etc., we should probably drop that here and not clutter up the In-Game thread as much.

GM Kingmaker Ventiine |

So certain reputations are party-wide but you can also have player-specific friendliness levels with specific NPCs. You might meet someone and want to keep them close for gunt tasks or a modest discount.
I will update tomorrow with traveling, wandering Monster rolls, and new brown text.
Just for clarification: you are having the pink and the red bandit lead you to their camp? You obviously took their weapons and armor but are you physically restricting them or just having them walk ahead?

Rhiann Sokol |

Walk ahead but within bow range should be fine. If they try to bolt, they get shot. If there are traps, they walk through them first. If they honor their word and don't betray us, they get treated accordingly.

Rhiann Sokol |

Safe to assume we get the bandit's name etc, before returning with him to the fort? I'd play it our IC but at one response per day it feels like it'll be dragging things while everyone else is already posting in the present.

Erik Sforza |

I disagree. That will have us walking up the path to this encampment. First we interrogate the daylights out of our prisoners to get as many details of the encampment as possible - have them draw us a map, indicate guard posts (and schedule), traps, etc. Then we have them lead us up to a couple of miles out from the encampment. Scout with Alyssa's bird and then plan our assault, without giving up surprise. Tie them up securely and then attack...

GM Kingmaker Ventiine |

@Rhiann, of course, let's name red Doug! Sorry things are slow :( I'll try to post more (2-4 posts/day) this weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) since I will be off from work!
@Erik, Hex #5 is traveled but not explored. (Logically, the party rode directly from Brevoy to Oleg's, which was a tiring ride.) According to the book, it takes 1 day to explore plains (Hex #5) on foot or on horseback. The second slide on the Hex Maps (link) has a picture of the book's travel stats. The explore mechanic can get you around skill checks to discover something in the hex. They are also necessary if you wish to claim a hex Book 2 and onward.
@Everyone, I totally forgot about Forced March mechanics. Did you want to scuff that aspect of the game here and just use wand charges as necessary to force them onward? Unconscious characters recover 1 hit point per character level with a full night's rest. (link)

Rhiann Sokol |

Agreed. Depending on what time of day it is, it might be best to camp for the night, start moving early enough so that we hit their camp just after dawn (I don't think any of us have darkvision, so a night assault's out.)

It's kinda cool that Adela's artwork is a perfect capture of the first thing Doug sees when he wakes up.

Rhiann Sokol |

I figure we camp/rest 12 hrs, set out around 5am, and get to their camp around 10. Sound good?
This avoids traveling in the dead of night (with none of us having Darkvision that just doesn't seem like a great idea)

Erik Sforza |

Some of us do have darkvision though... and low light vision besides. I'm not sure I like trying to sneak up on a bunch of bandits in the bright daylight at 10 in the morning. If we don't want to travel at night - which actually sounds like a pretty good idea, Let's set out later (0800), and stop an hour or so short of the bandits to make ourselves a working camp. After setting up camp, we can go scout them in the evening, and then hit them next morning? Or if they are foraging for food, might it be worth trying to hit one of their foraging parties?

You have darkvision. Three of us have low-light, hence suggesting getting moving around dawn or just before. We stopped now because if we don't, both prisoners will die. We're all some variant of Good so backstory-related reasons for hating bandits notwithstanding, if we believe they're actually repentant we won't march them to death just for kicks.
Adding another day increases the possibility of them sending people back to the fort (which has no one protecting it now). But it may not be that bad an idea to scout the camp, before striking it, just increases the chances of being discovered. We're not a super stealth-based group.

Rhiann Sokol |

Lucky, you still with us?
There are 6 of us, 3 watches 2 per watch sound good?

Erik Sforza |

Ok, I think we have buy in on the plan Erik has presented. (Everyone but Lucky and Adela have chimed in and seem to agree.)
I have drawn 2 dashed 60 ft radius circles on the map, centered on bandits light blue and orange respectively, so that people know where they will need to start making stealth checks...
I have moved Doug and Keila off the map as we have left them behind.
I have relocated the party to be outside the stealth radii
and the show is about to begin...

Erik Sforza |

I am travelling until Oct 10th. I should be able to post, but things may be sporadic...

GM Kingmaker Ventiine |

I'm working on a post now. I tried to access the site yesterday but when I clicked on things, the graphics disappeared and I got this white page with links (screenshot) and the links I clicked on seemed dead.

Rhiann Sokol |

Did Erik's shot miss? He targeted that bandit as well.
Assuming Erik is not spotted:Once in position, he pauses to study the bandit closely for a second. Taking a deep breath, he pulls his bow to full draw and looses!
Use studied target on bandit blue
Standard Action - shoot blue
To Hit: 1d20 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 1 + 1 + 1 + 3 = 14 vs FF
+1 Bab +1 studied combat +1 PBS +3 dexDamage: 1d8 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 + 1 + 1 = 6
+1 str +1 studied combat +1 PBS

Oops, I missed the spoiler! Thanks, Rhiann! I'm going to ninja my post now

Rhiann Sokol |

*sigh*
I think we've lost Lucky. In two days it'll be a full month since their last post.
Not a great time for that, but hopefully we'll survive this combat.

Rhiann Sokol |

I know right? We can probably remove the sight range of the dead guy.

GM Kingmaker Ventiine |

I'll try to update later tonight.
I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but I have a weekly (IRL) Friday night Pathfinder game so I'm pretty drained on Fridays from work + friends.

Rhiann Sokol |

Understandable. IRL fun is important as well. Going to New York Comic Con.

Prepping a post now. Sorry for the absence. I have a conference this weekend

Rhiann Sokol |

So I think that with a reach weapon, and not being the target of the charge, I should have an AoO vs Kressle.
Unless the black circle was keeping track of where she had to avoid passing. I'll wait for your feedback before rolling for the AoO if any.

GM Kingmaker Ventiine |

Hopefully, I didn't miss anything big. I think I'm getting sick or my allergies are coming back. Hard to tell. It was in the 80s yesterday and today but they forecasted snow on Wednesday. Go figure, lol, my body is so confused by the weather

Rhiann Sokol |

That's crazy!

It has been six weeks since Lucky posted. Shorty before that they mentioned health problems. I hope thing haven't taken a turn for the worse for them?
Are we going to recruit a replacement character?

GM Kingmaker Ventiine |

I think that's a fine idea. Do you all have a friend in mind? If not, I can find someone.
I'll prep a post in an hour or so.

Erik Sforza |

If you want 6 players, that's fine by me, but so far, five is working well...

Adela Anastasia |

I find 5 players works well. I'm happy to stay at that number unless others think we need another?

Rhiann Sokol |

Id be fine either way. 5 is pretty solid, heavier on divine magic than arcane, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Adela Anastasia |

True. Though I will focus on healing so Liz can pack a few offensive spells to assist Alyssa.
On the bandits Adela favors working off their crimes. Unless it's murder or rape. Then it's the death penalty.

Rhiann Sokol |

Agreed.
