Of course! Feel free to post as much as you want, though, the thread is there for a reason! Besides, there are a few more points of interest on the way to the rendezvous, a bit of exploring wouldn’t hurt!

While I’m thinking about it, it seems like Dolgrin may be gone for a bit longer than I first thought. His spot will still be open when he gets back, but how do you guys feel about reopening recruitment for a fourth member? Would take the total to five when he gets back, giving us some more room for people being missing or needing a break. Can have Dolgrin retreat back to the colony for now, and there’s plenty of places to find a new party member on the island.

Will post shortly. That could definitely work. Benefit of this AP is an easy way to introduce another person, especially now, as well as the ability for someone to just kind of fade into the collective for a bit if needed.

Far enough away that you need to use the boat to get to it, and deep enough that you can't walk on the bottom of the ocean floor.

Doesn't say exact feet, but if it becomes necessary I'll make some believable numbers up.

Okay, here's Ankha's question: Can we lure/distract the fish away from the boat with food (e.g. boar meat) or something else?


Probably not, when they attach to ships, it's usually for a specific purpose beyond just eating. They can't eat the wood, after all!


Put up a little bit of an abstract map on roll20, the black lines are the top and bottom of the ship and the light blue is the top of the water. Just gonna simplify this combat and go with that, if that's okay with everyone?

Haven't you had us roll saves ourselves in the past? Is this the default going forward? Just curious.


I just felt it easier to do it myself. If you want to roll them yourselves, feel free! I’ll let you do this one as well. Sorry about that, I didn’t even think to ask what you guys thought of that.

I'm fine either way. I don't mind the GM rolling things like initiative, saves, perception, sense motive, stealth etc for me, since that usually helps the game move faster. My only request would be that any details of the save (e.g. enchantment effect, poison, magic, etc) be noted in case our PC has special modifiers that may have been missed.

Things like Perception and sense motive, makes sense, especially since they help avoid metagaming (If I know I failed a Perception check I'm now wary of whatever it is caused the check).

I do prefer to roll my own saves, but that might be just me.

I've started using a better init tracker at the end of my combat posts that I saw someone else using, the bold names are up in combat. Should help me run combat much much smoother!

@GM: Just want to clarify something: Is there any limit to how many times a PC aids the influence checks? For example, could Ankha aid on all of the influence checks?

Also, we don't need to commit right away to how many discovery vs influence checks we do right? Can a PC try one or two discovery checks and see how they turn out before deciding what to do with her remaining checks?

@players: I'm thinking Ankha should attempt (at least) 2 discovery checks? She has +7 in Knowledge Arcana & Nature, while her best social skill is +0 Diplomacy.

I think the only one we might have trouble with is Harcourt Carrolby. Ankha has +2 Knowledge (Local or Nobility). Braxton might be best to roll for Carrolby--I think he has +4 in Nobility?

Aid another checks count towards your three total checks, yeah. You don’t have to commit to anything beyond one check at a time. It suggests doing them in some sort of order, with every PC getting one check at a time, but that’s obviously for running it in person.

You guys rocked the first three checks, posting results now so that Braxton and Dakari can work on influence checks if need be.

I have learned that you can disable the map grid on Roll20, instead of painstakingly trying to edit every screenshot of a map from the AP pdf to fit on the grid system. It means your icons will be smaller and not always fit the grid on the map, but it makes it a TON easier and quicker for me to get the maps together.

Updated the lootsheet.

With 4 active players right now, there would be a 4 way split on the current gold total of 557 gold, 321 silver

so 139 gold 82 silver 10 copper per person.

Also should we consider reassigning the items currently claimed by Dolgrin? (+1 Azlanti longsword/swarmsuit)
