This 10-CON sorcerer has, indeed, tanked before - twice. Both times were with Wild Shape, one was shark form underwater. :)

Jayma really does best with a full range of meat shields in front of her, so she appreciates Nina volunteering to act in that capacity ;-). Is anyone else willing to step up to protect her? I literally can't remember the last time Jayma got within melee range of a bad guy.

FYI, Jayma has the Rugged Mentor boon so that any PCs benefiting from a Level Bump can increase the Level Bump’s modifier to saving throws by 2 instead of 1 (a PC can only benefit from two mentor boons though).

It might help to review my character sheet. I have not played online in a year (plus/minus). That and the feats may come to play. Recognize Spell, Nonlethal Spell, and Spell Penetration come to mind.

Fernardo can take one. Drained one is only 8 HP with max lower by 8. with 80 HP I should be good.

Drak (and anyone else), if you have offensive options, you're always free to use them on the assumption that Nina will heal you. She has heal as her signature spell and her Angelic Halo (15') will bump the healing. She also has Vital Beacon up and has Assurance to hit the Expert level Battle Medicine, so she can do a lot of 1-action healing.

Nina has very little in the way of offense, so if she doesn't have anyone to heal, she's just going to be casting daze a lot. heh

Frankly, I took about 60 points of damage in the one round, and I'm not in great shape even after healing myself.

The way these things came up immediately adjacent to us makes me nervous about taking lots more damage. I'm definitely not cut out for Melee.

I'll try something offensive next round.

I'll try to concentrate on the mouthers. I'll hardly hurt the shadows at all, as they will likely be immune to sneak attacks.

I can also use combat medicine if necessary. I should have done that this round sorry, didn't read the discussion until after posting.

If I don't drop the red one on the first attack, happy to use expert/assurance battle medicine on Drak to heal instead of recalling knowledge.

Drak has the pearly white spindle aeon stone slotted in his Wayfinder, and the resonant power gives him Resist 1 Negative, so he is a little better off.
Also, Marigold healed him during her last turn for 14, and that puts us pretty close. With the 23 that just went off, he should be at 64/78, I think

OPF site appears to be down, but if I recall correctly, standard Level Bump is +1 to basically everything that adds Level, and then one Level's worth of HP (should be 8+CON for you).

In addition, Nina offered the Skillful Mentor boon (+2 to skills instead of +1) and Jayma offered the Rugged Mentor boon (+2 to saves instead of +1). So you should have 62 max HP for this adventure, and various +1s and +2s.

Fernardo, shouldn't you have been at 80/80 after healing? By my count, you got hit once for -16 hp, and then 1d4 bleed, and then healed 23.

I am deliberately holding up my Will save and Diplomacy check because there are many things that need to be clarified.

1. Grapple does have Critical Success conditions. Link

Given the nature of the Disable checks, it seems reasonable that the GM should waive the flat checks, but it should be addressed.

4. I really don't like having to be the one to look through the GM rolls and figure out what hit and what didn't. This is the GM's job. If you're having problems tracking, I suggest acquiring DougH's tracker sheet. I don't use it (I made my own prior to him releasing his) but a lot of people do, and I've heard nothing but good reviews about it.

This is a party of spellcasters and rogues, so we have terrible Fort saves, and +21 is a very high modifier for this level. The nat 1 against Drak almost didn't crit fail - against Jayma, Nina, or Teja, 22 would have hit, which meant that a nat 1 would have only failed.

5. Circling back to the beginning of this message, I'm deliberately withholding my actions because I need to know the status of the party.

The DC 28/29 Will save is a tall order for most people - we've been super lucky that nobody who has rolled has critically failed (Nina will need a nat 14 to succeed, and she's a top-level spellcaster).

I need to decide whether Nina should cast a heal to keep people from dying (it also frequently damages haunts, so we can attack the haunt), use Diplomacy to try to stop the haunt (Nina is Master in Diplomacy with a +19, so she has a decent shot of hitting DC 33), or figure out a creative way to Escape.

If Teja's Occultism roll doesn't require a flat check, and she's succeeded in calming the haunt already, and nobody's going to die, that's cool, nothing to do then except make the save. But a lot of other decisions rides on the current status of the party.

I'll post a Will save if that's the only thing holding us up, but I'm not posting actions until other things are clearer.

Maybe it's just me, but I can't see any Hag on the map, just us and the 2 nightmares.

Also, if the Hag cast a spell instead of using an ability, Fernardo has a chance to ID the spell....

Marigold, even though you're low, Nina's going to go on offense - a 3-action will heal Red. There's a 2-action 3d8+24 heal that anyone can use with Dream Points, so I think you'll be okay.

Red is also Frightened 2 from the Phantasmal Killer attack.

Not sure if that was taken in account during it's just-made attacks.

That does make a difference. -2 on it's Strike Chance will turn that Crit into a normal hit.

Since we're nearing the end, here's Jayma's downtime Earn Income to be included on the chronicle sheet.

To earn a little extra cash between missions, Jayma takes on jobs tracing the ancestry of local wealthy merchants who are hoping to find noble antecedents to lord over their rivals.

Jayma has the Storied Talent boon which allows her to attempt a task of her full level (instead of level-2) to Earn Income.

A regular success for a Master at Level 7 should be good for 2.5gp * 8 days = 20gp.
