I suspect but cannot prove that the cocoon needs a Will save vs. Sanctuary to engulf Symeon.
GM Tyranius |
Feed on Thoughts doesn't have an attack trait, which is the reasoning on why i left Sanctuary off for that.
Iniquity Pen |
Interesting theoretical consideration not to be decided during this session--keeping in mind I don't know what Feed on Thoughts is written like--but neither do swarm attacks or electric arc have the attack trait. Creates a weird cutout for me, conceptually.

Indeed and good point, I am all open for using it. Just wanted to let know my reasoning why as the Sanctuary Spell stated attack several times in it.
Jayma |
Sooo. Is that it? Looks like we made it in plenty of time for Gameday.
I'm going to assume that Salaish's healing also took care of Jayma's persistent bleed condition.

The game has now been reported and below are your chronicles. Please look them over for any errors so I can correct them right away.
Jayma |
Here is my official Earn Income roll for 8 days of downtime.
During the long voyage back to Absalom, Jayma occasionally spoke with the Bhopanese that chose to return with them. One particularly well-heeled gentleman, a descendant of a shipwrecked survivor from an earlier century, was interested in determining if the stories his great-great-grandfather told about being the son of a High Council member were in fact true; he hoped to be able to take advantage of such a connection once they reached the city. Jayma convinced him that her Genealogical skills were up to the task and the man hired her no sooner had they reached the docks.
Genealogy Lore (Earn Income) vs DC 18: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (13) + 14 = 27
Almost a crit. Dang!
After several days of research, Jayma determined that the survivor had merely been a common sailor who had fabricated his high-born background. The Bhopanese gentleman was not happy to receive this news and threatened to withhold payment. Jayma quickly convinced him that this would be a very bad idea and the man coughed up her fee.
A regular success at Level 6 should be good for 56sp over the 8 days of downtime. I will add a note to that effect on my chronicle.

That was a much better done and engaging fight against an avatar than other avatars my characters have faced. Kudos to the authors, and thank you for running us through this, Tyranius!
Salaish Talenduth |
Yes, thank you Tyrannius! This was such a fun pair of scenarios, with so much flavor. You did a good job making sure the series of skill checks as we were fleeing were engaging, which can be hard to do.
My Chronicle looks good. That's an interesting feat, especially considering that Salaish's build is designed to capitalize on all the spells she can get.
And here's my Downtime roll, which I'll add to my Chronicle sheet:
Performance (Busking) DC 16: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21
Success on level 2 task: She gets 2.4 gp.

Thank you to everyone for playing, and an extra big thank you to Tyranius for GMing this for us! This was a nice tense scenario, I feel. The chase, along with limited healing in the latter half, could lead to us entering the final fight pretty beaten up.
Salaish: the feat looks pretty cool, but you don't heighten the spells at higher levels. I think Bane could be cool as an extra option to have, but I think Spider Sting and Grim Tendrils aren't really worth spending an Ancestry feat on, damage-wise.
Salaish Talenduth |
I agree. Salaish often has one extra action once her Inspire Courage/Defense is up, which could be used to expand Bane's emanation. I'm still not committed (how would she react to waking up with bat ears?), but it's an interesting option.
