Leo or Iona should take the scroll?
Charm (H3)
Heightening Spells
I was thinking Ambrose should jump on the table and quickly eat the scroll, but if we do that Leo would have to 'commune' with Ambrose again after he ate the scroll.
So two questions, is the charm scroll heightened or is it two scrolls? And could Leo re-commune with Amborse today?

Dorian 'Grey' |

The scroll is Heightened, so yes you would learn it as such. Unfortunately, you can't cast 3rd level spells unless off a scroll at this level....

Julril Zummish |

I think our plan should be, Airi goes in disguised as a kobold, tries to reason with the dragon. Leo, being tiny, hides out on her back with the scroll. If things seem to be going sour, he can cast the scroll. Julril will cast Sanctuary on Airi so the dragon won't be able to attack her outright.

Iona Enid Glenns |

I thought Tann wanted Iona to try some diplomacy on the dragon being she has a connection to creatures and can speak Draconic. Is that no longer the case and it’s going to be Leo using the charm scroll?

Leialoha of the Sugalo |

hmmm ninja'd by Iona! Hi Iona!
Might work, I don't know enough about pf2 to know if he can hide on the back of a kobold, or if he can cast from there, or if the dragon would see it as an attack.
Bring the idea up in game, I was just waiting, trying to convince myself that Ambrose shouldn't go after the scroll. It feels like what he would do. I'll get a post up once I've had a little coffee.

Dorian 'Grey' |

I thought this might happen.
Airi=Deception, Stealth
Iona=Draconic, scroll, Diplomacy
Leo=Evil Eye, scroll
Tann=Diplomacy, Draconic, one for all
Julril =Sactuary, Diplomacy
Each of you have a tool, but team effort for this to work.
I like it!

I would honestly like Iona to have the scroll, if Leo picks it up, he would probably, intentional or not, feed it to Ambrose. If Iona picks it up, Ambrose can bark and beg, but would not be able to get it from her.

Iona Enid Glenns |

Glad to hear you're doing a little better, Airi. Good luck with the crutches and recovery. Hugs.
I'll post IC in a bit - sorry for the hold up.

Dorian 'Grey' |

Thinking Airi needs a Deception check vs dragon's Perception DC.
Impersonate
I will grant her +2 circumstance bonus because of Hat.
If she makes it, the dragon will be Stun 1 on his turn to replicate it fooled.
The rest of you get your Actions too.
This plan could work...

Sansaárë. |

Hello everyone. So how do we proceed from here? At the moment there isn't anything Sansaárë can do. Hopefully we can keep this peaceful.

Dorian 'Grey' |

Congratulations! You Heroes have completed Menace in Otari!
Well done, everybody!
My friend has already loaded the continuation Troubles in Otari into Roll20 for us, so let me know when we are ready to continue.....
It takes place a few days after your victorious return to town!
If anyone wants to rethink, reroll, rebuild their characters this would be the time, although, everyone's builds are solid and we already like the personalities!

Iona Enid Glenns |

Yay!
I'm happy to continue on with Iona. :)
Tomorrow is Australia Day and I'm hosting a party. I won't be able to post again until my 27th (your 26th). I'll be ready to start back on the new adventure then.

Dorian 'Grey' |

Go ahead and rp a bit with Broadeyes the Charming and the new homestead.
Let me know if there is anything that you further wanted do accomplish prior to starting Part 2....
You guys have a dragon...lol.

Leialoha of the Sugalo |

Iona merely stood listening and then almost laughed aloud when the barkeep proclaimed there would be no more drink for the sprite. She gazed at Leo to see how he would react.
Ness a mount for Verdi? Is that how he saw her... she almost chuckled aloud at the thought and trying to picture Ness's expression upon hearing it.
LOL, of course a fey would see whomever another Fey was carried by, as that fey's mount ◕‿◕
From the 'Fluff' in Leo's first post
Following the tiny dog, they soon came to a cave in the woods. Leo was to learn that the cave was occupied by an amazing leaf leshy named Verdi and her pet dwarf, a druid named Nyswyn.
I'd totally forgotten that Iona had a leshy too

Iona Enid Glenns |

Oh, I get you re the mount. Iona found it funny to hear a dwarf like Ness described as such. ;)
Being new to the group, she is only seeing the sprite’s antics, mannerisms etc for the first time.

Iona Enid Glenns |

At the present time, in game, Iona finds Leo colourful, quirky/offbeat and curious. Not sure how many Fey sightings there have been in/around Immenwood these past years (or whether Iona would have gotten an opportunity to cross paths with a fey of some kind in the woods before Leo - Dorian?), however she has heard they love playing pranks. So, Iona Enid may be a little circumspect around the fellow and his mannerisms (although she does love animals so the corgi is okay in her books). Iona's humour is different from Ness' (although Iona is a quirky dresser with her jaunty feathered hat), yet I suspect that once Iona finds her footing within the party, that may change and she'll show more of her fun-loving personality. :)

That's good, cause so am I.
Presently he's a hodgepodge of fey tropes. The only thing I think I'm sure of is he can't lie. It was a prank that got him here, and I'm trying to play him mercurial, but not sure yet beyond that....

Iona Enid Glenns |

Mercurial sounds like a fine plan as it will highlight his colourful quirkiness. If he was a perpetual liar and prankster, I feel that Iona would view him quite differently. LOL

Dorian 'Grey' |

Apologies, I have been waiting for Airi, but will move us along tonight after work.

Leialoha of the Sugalo |

I hate to admit it, but I wasn't sure where the direction should go after all of that. So, well, we'll let Leo sit at the table and slurp his mead for a while.

Dorian 'Grey' |

I take any blame for this difficult terrain of time. I started a new job on Monday and attention to other things has allow my fumbling of this game.
I will start us off fresh at the bar scene as the introduction to our 2nd module.
Tomorrow is our anniversary. We are going to Flint con to play some live PFS2e!
Move us along on Sunday. Enjoy your weekends!

Dorian 'Grey' |

Oh, yes, if by Italian restaurant you mean olive garden...lol.
I also worked at an Italian restaurant while recovering in Florida, so this works.

Dorian 'Grey' |

HA! Yes, she technically still works there, although on worker's comp at the moment.

Leialoha of the Sugalo |

Troubles In Otari
The sounds of chatter and laughter spill from the Otari Fishery’s open doors alongside warm and welcoming lamplight. Within, a few dozen common folk gather around rough tables with cards, dice, tokens, and other game pieces scattered among them....
may we assume this is a few day later and Leo is no longer 'cut off'?

Dorian 'Grey' |

I thought it funny you guys ended up in a bar, when this module begins in the Fishery bar/gambling den...lol.
Drink up me harpies!
If needed then yes...haha!

Dorian 'Grey' |

Sansaárë has the Loot List spoiler on her Profile.
Unfortunately, you guys will not receive the dragon's loot, but let's put you guys at minimum of WBL 2nd.
We are having date night at the movies tonight, so try to post tonight, or after work tomorrow.
I think each of you should have roughly 30gp worth of stuff each.
If you find otherwise let me know please.
Got to go!

Sansaárë. |

According to what I have we have/had a total of roughly 86gp plus stuffs.
That gives each player (5) 17gp 2sp.
That is just the cash money. This does not include what items are claimed.

Dorian 'Grey' |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Ok!
Everyone should have 17gp 2sp plus anything they claimed on Sansaárë's Loot List.
If you do not have a total of 30gp, then give yourself the difference in cash.

Iona Enid Glenns |

There’s some unexpected RL family stuff to take off, so I won’t be back on the boards until my Monday (your Sunday). If you need to bot my character in the meanwhile, please feel free. Thanks for your understanding. Please have a good weekend.

Leialoha of the Sugalo |

Please declare your Exploration modes.
Which was 'exploration mode again? Is it effected by the fact he's mounted on Ambrose?

Dorian 'Grey' |

Crap! I had forgotten that you took Independent Ability!
Hmmm.....carry on, good sprite!

Leialoha of the Sugalo |

So, the boar is still Unfriendly. It is not going away ...yet. Leo may take 2 Actions, unless he really does want the Telekinetic Projectile to go off? The rest of you still have a wild boar to deal with...
[dice=Boar Will DC 18 vs evil eye]1d20+8
The wild boar eyes our sprite with hungar and enthusiasm!
hmmmm, so he needs to retake his original actions, or is this the second round?

Dorian 'Grey' |

You may retcon your Round 1 Actions with the knowledge from Iona.

Iona Enid Glenns |

Hello. I’m making this post across all my games. These past few weeks have been filled with increasing health issues and I’ve been grateful for your understanding and patience. I’ve had to reevaluate my priorities and refocus energy into taking care of myself/my family and my ailing mother (she’s been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and has been rapidly declining). It wouldn’t be fair to take up a place in game and not be available to play with any consistency or coherency. So, sadly, I’ll be withdrawing from all my games. I’d sincerely like to thank all my excellent GMs and fellow players - I’ve enjoyed playing alongside you all and am grateful for the opportunity to learn new things and play my characters. At this stage, I don’t know when, or if, I’ll return to Paizo, so I want to wish you all the very best and please take care.
Warm Regards,
Iona & Morra.
