I've always gone with Gaelic for Sylvan. If you'd like I can change it to Irish Gaelic instead of the Scottish Gaelic I've been using? I've got no problem with going the Old Irish route. I've always gone with Welsh for dwarves as there is quite a bit of mining in the history of Wales and I've always associated dwarves with mining. It's interesting hearing what RL languages people use for in game languages.

@Iona yes that sounds good.
@everyone you are awesome sauce!

On languages--I always use a random language generator, which I find to be very fun. In my last big PbP game as DM, Draconic got Slovenian, Orcish got Catalan, Abyssal got Greek, Elvish got Mongolian, and so on.

Just a courtesy heads-up, I'll be at my nephew's wedding all day tomorrow (my Saturday/your Friday). I won't be able to post again until my Sunday/your Saturday. Hope everyone has a good weekend! :)

Have a good time with family Iona!
Several questions, not that they all need answered now, but they come to mind.
Since Ambrose can act independently did Leo need to use the move action to reposition. Conversely is there some kind of 'ride' skill he needs to stay seated on the familiar?
As for the telekinetic attack, should he invest in feats like point blank range, or precise shot?

@Leo Independent Ability
It reads as if you still need to use an Action to Command for Ambrose to get 2 Actions, which he may Stride (carrying you) and still has another Action.
If you read it differently let me know, but it seems to call out riding in particular.
Telekinetic Projectile does not need those Ranger Feats, but you can Archetype if you wanted...
EDIT!
@Leo (you may want to unmarked the like botton...I happen to notice that Witch familiar receive 2 Abilities, but you have 3. Scent counts as one unfortunately.
Witches do receive bonus Abilities at certain level though. Also, Improved Familiar is a Feat.
Dorian 'Grey'
Yuppers! They loosened up on certain things. Attacks of opportunity are rare instead of the norm also.
Julril Zummish
Thats good, about the melee penalty. It's really nerfs ranged builds and forces that feat to disregard it. Ive found most tables just ignore the fact that you have the penalty to attack plus the bonus to AC due to cover, so for them to just reduce it to the bonus to AC is a good move.
So do you need a feat to get AoOs now?
Dorian 'Grey'
Fighter class is only class that begins with AoO. There are Feats for other classes to pick it up.

Nothing against Airi, just trying to get clarification and sort the scene out. The kobold's stealth was 27 and Airi got 24 for her perception, so she wouldn't have seen it as its stealth trumps her perception or am I missing something when it comes to the Seek action?

Your Perception check is against target Steath DC (Stealth +10).
It's Stealth 7 plus 10= DC 17
The Stealth rules are tricky but it is now only Hidden to everyone instead of Undetected.
Enjoy your day/night!

Hey y'all, I'm going to try my hand at running a PF2e adventure. The recruitment page is HERE if you're interested.

Excellent! I've dotted my interest via Ariarh Kane (my main id). :)

I'm having a difficult time keeping up with my games as is, or I'd be so into this. Should be a lot of fun--looks like a lot of experienced players are interested!

just asking because I can't find it in the rules. Does weapon size matter anymore? Like a human sized crossbow does 1d8, a halfling sized crossbow still does 1d8, a stone giant sized crossbow still does 1d8?

I was asking myself the same question just last week. I found these discussion threads regarding size and pathfinder 2e: Discussion 1 and Discussion 2. I hope they can useful.
Dorian 'Grey'
I found this in CRB.
In most cases, Small or Medium creatures can wield a Large weapon, though it’s unwieldy, giving them the clumsy 1 condition, and the larger size is canceled by the difficulty of swinging the weapon, so it grants no special benefit. Large armor is simply too large for Small and Medium creatures.

@Iona
You have a connection to the creatures of the natural world that allows you to communicate with them on a rudimentary level. You can use Diplomacy to Make an Impression on animals and to make very simple Requests of them. In most cases, wild animals will give you time to make your case.
Bold is mine. It allows you to communicate, using Diplomacy with Animals, which only gnome can do).
Dragons are classified as, well, dragons not Animals.
But, on the positive note, they are intelligent, so Diplomacy still works....in theory.

Alrighty! Just a courtesy heads-up, it'll be a very busy next couple of days (today and tomorrow). I'm hosting Christmas Eve for the family as my son and his gf will be spending Christmas day at her family's place. So, I'm doing a lot of prep work/baking today to help me with all the other stuff I have to cook on Christmas Eve.
I'll try and post when I can today. However, tomorrow I won't be on the boards at all. Christmas Day will be a quiet one with just hubby, kitty and I and left overs - by the pool enjoying the sun. I may have some time for posting then. Ha.

Christmas Day’s supposed to be 30 deg C/86 deg F. It’ll be nice and hot. Haha.

We are expecting our first official winter storm tonight through Saturday! Fun times! High of 19 for Christmas.
Let it snow!
Post in the morning!

That is what the intro at the beginning of the AP says, but Leo is nt from town like the rest of the party, he's only been in town a couple of days so I'm trying to think of him like that.
Iona Enid Glenns
Airi & Tann : Julril is currently talking to Vandy Banderdash outside the fishery regarding the egg/dragons. Vandy is the High Priestess of Dawnflower Library (a temple of Sarenrae). So, there's no need to actually go to the library. Shrugs.
Tannakin Skinker
I'll admit it, I'm lost. I am not 100% sure why we turned around but I am too out of it to try to sort things, so I was just trying to go with the flow.
IRL I've been working too hard but I'm still behind, so I haven't been able to concentrate on games. Not sure if/when that will change--I just found out that they are throwing another class at me with less than a week's notice. I can't plan it because they haven't told me which one it is yet, and things were already a mess before I got that news (Good news!).
Sorry! I should probably take a break from the game until I can concentrate on it.
Dorian 'Grey'
There is zero pressure here, my friend!
Post at your availability; but a minimum of Hello.
The library idea is a good one, since those Trained in Arcana may need the bonus and retry granted by researching there.
Vandy Banderdash will be able to give some information, but, she will be inviting the Heroes to research the remainder of the day and go back in the morning to deal with The Menace Under Otari.
Also, Tamily would most likely just enjoy making supper for you Heroes!

It's NYE here in Oz and tonight we'll be celebrating quietly. Tomorrow will be another day for family and rest. I'll see if I can make a post then. If I can't, then I'll be back to normal posting on my 2nd January (your 1st January).
Happy New Year! :)

So, this happened!
Airi has broken her big toe at work. She had a cart run it over. I feel like we just went through this type of thing....
Please be patient with us.
Thank you!

A cart filled with 3000 jars of pickled beets....sprites gots jokes...lol!
