Alton's force darts rip into the humanoid, who hisses something in a language that no one but Alton understands. (Alton, he's implying that your parents met once, briefly, at a costume party.) He casts a spell, and he, the blue creature, and the crab begin to move more quickly.
The crab scuttles forward and splits its attention between Joseph and Blitz. One claw and bite misses Joseph (though the claw barely misses), while it tags Blitz with a claw for 9 HP.

Lybram armors himself with divine power and advances, shield and mace in hand. Still reacting to the onset of hostilities, the blue creature is unable to take advantage of the cleric's distraction. Not so the crab, who bites Lybram for 10 HP, narrowly missing a vital spot.
The blue creature flees down the stairs, a splash echoing through the hall in its wake.
Corbrae identifies the humanoid as an undine, a native outsider whose heritage stems from the Elemental Plane of Water.
Mrs. Book is still stuck off map so she continues to delay. She could run past everyone down the stairs, but only if she wants to give the crab a chance to snap her up, so NO to that plan.
Alton, I'm assuming that means you're shooting the crab, not the undine. Also, don't forget about Corbrae's inspire courage.

Frustrated at the logistical nightmare that keeps her from the front, Mrs. Book keeps her powder dry. Then halfling luck comes through for Alton. He manages to thread his crossbow bolt through a narrow gap in the fight, hitting the crab creature.

Joseph's first arrow slips off the string, and his second is on target but fails to penetrate the crab creature's carapace. The crab lashes out with great rapidity, landing a claw on Blitz for 4 HP, and biting and clawing at Lybram for 15 HP. Then it scuttles back to guard the undine.

Lybram's mace bounces harmlessly off of the crab, which appears to have invisible armor over its carapace. Corbrae's crossbow bolt is on target, but something deflects it just before it hits.

Recognizing the spell, Mrs. book shouts "Avert!" and shields her eyes from the burst. She then moves over near to the green glowing crystals and gets ready for the next spell.
Ready an action to hit the caster with another round of magic missiles when and if she tries to cast again.

checking damage myself, I am not seeing where viridian had been hit but blitz I think has taken 23 (of 30) so is at 7hp…but I may have missed something. Thanks for the status update Too
