apologies for the last few days. life has gotten crazy busy here. it would seem that the closer it gets to the end of the school year, there is more and more stuff to do for the kids....
so far, we have
Kondal/lazar
Naomi/navarre
I think ceirn needs to finish his second character, if he wants to.
What'll happen is the new characters will be introduced as soon as navarre, lazar, and ceirn step out of the Ways in the mountains of Mist.
For the new characters, you three will have been in the mountains of mist for various reasons. Kondal, youre up there because you followed the Shadowspawn through the Ways into the mountains of mists outside of emond's field/manatheron. Youve been hunting them in the steep country ever since, seeking to erradicate them.
Naomi, you also are up in the mountains by way of emonds field. you participated in the battle for emond's field, and tracked the fleeing shadowspawn north.
Ceirn's new character will likely also have the same.
while high up in the mountains, each of you individually, will have come across an ancient fort, most of which has collapsed due to age and weather (and perhaps the Breaking). Along with the ruins, you have come across an ancient road that looked like it had been maintained until recently. There was signs of life in the area, large sections of the road has been cleared of the debris, stones form the tumbled ruin have been moved or removed. But before you could do much of anything else, two things happened.
1) a strange man appeared out of nowhere, shouting for joy that his research has been verified as true.
2) another man, half naked from the waist down, appeared and has begun raining lightning and fire down upon the fort, forcing you three to take cover. he also seems to be looking for something, a jangle?
multiple days have passed, and there is no further sign of the strange man, but whenever you attempt to leave your narrow crook you have taken cover in, the area suddenly seems to light up with fire and lightning bolts.
for naomi, your attempts to shield him, as he is a male wilder, have all failed. he is too strong for you to shield him alone.

I am mostly finished. I can finish it tomorrow. He is going to be Imrik Farstrider.

Ceirn |

Imrik is mostly finished. I was just formatting in all of the forms and what not so I have it all on the sheet.

Navarre "Two-Fingers" |
...Naomi, you also are up in the mountains by way of emonds field. you participated in the battle for emond's field, and tracked the fleeing shadowspawn north.
Working on finishing back story now and was considering what brought her to Emond's field and the battle. So, the battle for Emond's field is in "The Shadow Rising" I thought we started in "The Great Hunt"?

RIZZENMAGNUS |

technically, we are at the start of "the dragon reborn". I figured out when this group started back in early 2022 that the Oath took place late in great hunt.
therefore the battle hasnt taken place yet.
hmmmm.... perhaps navarre's aes seda could have been traveling through the Arad doman and linked up with Rand, Perrin and the rest while they reside in the mountains of mist?
as for kondal... word of Shadowspawn being spotted in the Two Rivers area crossed your path, and you decided to verify the information because "you were bored with the borderlands?"

Ceirn |

Sounds good to me!

RIZZENMAGNUS |

we need to take a moment to figure out how exactly Jocasta ends up in the Mountains of mist in book the early chapters of book 3.
the battle of emonds field hasnt happened yet, though word has gotten out that the Two Rivers has a treasure trove of girls who can channel. Perhaps you were sent out as part of "recruiting" drive?

Jocasta Riverwood |

Since she isn't a full Aes Sedai yet, Jocasta is still navigating low-level tower politics, so it's likely that she's already either annoyed one of the influential Aes Sedai and been instructed to go out and knock her stubborn head against the realities of the world so that she gets some sense, or assigned to support other Aes Sedai priorities in the region either for recruitment or for information-gathering. Jocasta herself would be curious about the why behind unusual demographics: If an unusual concentration of channelers appears in an area, what underlying mechanism caused such a concentration? How is this location different and what could explain this phenomenon? Or is it merely a statistical aberration with no causative tie to any prior event?

Ceirn |

She could be sent to check on the ruins of Manetheren as an archeological dig type thing. That would be a fairly safe thing that an advanced initiate might do. Especially if the Browns were looking at her.

I am sorry, work has slammed me and affected my posting this week. I have a big deadline for next week and all my time is being thrown into that. Please bot me as needed while I take care of this.

Ceirn |

Ok, so I understand the plan. Ceirn and Lazar are going to attack from range next round and Navarre is going to attack or get our missing man?

Ceirn |

Well, at this point Navarre gets to decide. It may be easier to grab and run. It may not be possible to grab and run if he is melded into the rock. Roll the dice and see!

Ceirn |

I will be on vaction over the holiday weekend. It sounds like my internet access will be pretty bad. Please bot as needed.
