With that, we are nearly done. Make sure your information is correct above and feel free to roll your earn income (or other downtime rolls) here for posterity. I will let you record the results of those on your chronicles yourself.

Crafting, downtime: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Giles Morningstar II |
Is it just one day of downtime?
We don't have to pay living expenses, do we?
Earn income, Art Lore: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Bah, that's a failure...
Kaitlyn Deathsbane |
btw, between this quest and the next I'm going to go buy a potion of minor healing (since I only recently discovered that quests don't give consumables anymore)...

Basic stuff like lodging and food are usually abstracted away, unless you specifically pay extra for flavour things or such. Very rarely it'll be a thing in Society play.
Also, Quests give two days of downtime, regular adventures get eight. Don't exactly know the math behind the eight days, but there it is.Tanning Lore: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
That's a fail.

@Thrass, I found out that for Season 3, Quests don't give out consumables anymore. They still did for Season 2. Basically it came out of a debate on discord about that... I remember you called me on that for our first quest together... :)

Oh good, so I earned 2cp instead one. Phew, I've doubled my income!
Welcome to the poor club Thrass.

Downtime rolls at low levels don't give much. It's the treasure bundles for the adventure itself that pays... :)

Gladiator Lore: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Very quick but I can see the lethality for a less combat oriented group. Would have liked a second fight, some sort of animal outside or something but O well.
Thrass |
That's the format of Quests. One fight, some skill checks. Not necessarily in that order. The Bounties do switch it up somewhat, though.

Slightly similar format, though I've noticed that the combat in bounties is a bit more difficult. I played B09 with this character and she spent half the combat out cold (and Kat's not a squishy character!)
Giles Morningstar II |
If Ecthelion hadn't gotten lucky with the empty syringes, him (and Giles) would have been knocked out that first round. And we got a little lucky with the crits.
With the earned income not being worth much, I'll probably switch to crafting alchemy as soon as I hit lvl 2.
Besides crafting/income there doesn't seem to be much to do with downtime unless you need to retrain.
Thrass |
Kat: Depends. I've played a few as well (though admittedly not 9), and it really depends on the scenario, I feel. Plus, sometimes you just get lucky. I can imagine this thing being a beast.
Giles: You get normal gold rewards as well, so don't worry. And yeah, downtime's mostly a bonus that 90% of people won't care about, I think.

This was essentially a melee based party. Here is the golem's immunites against a more "balanced" group with wizards and archers and such...
Immunities: acid, bleed, death effects, disease, doomed, drained, fatigued, healing, all magic (except sonic damage and cold slows), mental, necromancy, nonlethal attacks, paralyzed, poison, sickened, unconscious;
Resistances: physical (except adamantine or bludgeoning) 4
I will try to get the chronicles up later tonight...

That could have definitely caused us some trouble if we were more magic based.
Thanks for running this quest!
I'm glad everything went pretty smoothly for us. Are there any other gameplay things to do like looting/searching or are we done?

Alright, game is reported and you can find your chronicles here.
Feel free to role-play your way out of the adventure if you wish and I will close this up in a few days.
If you are playing Grehunde's Gorget with me, we will begin on or around October 10th.
Thank you all for playing and tearing up the golem like a piece of paper. Best of luck in your future adventures!
Mrs. Crinkle |
My Chronicle looks good. Thanks for running this. It was a nice little run to test out a new character. As always, it's great to play at your table.
And thanks to the group for the good role play. I've played in a quest that was phoned in, and it was really boring. You guys made this fun. I'll see you around the boards!
Thrass |
I agree with Mrs. Crinkle. I don't think I've had the pleasure to play with you yet, GM, but it was a blast. Thanks for the game!
And yes, the roleplay makes everything so much better. I've been in groups that barely roleplay at all, and it makes such a difference. I'm sorry I interacted mostly with Kat, but that's what you get when you know each other from an earlier scenario. Everyone, thanks for making this a fun Quest! :)
Kaitlyn Deathsbane |
Yep! Fun game! Thrass and Kat adventured together before (actually, I joined the game because of Thrass and his fish antics) :)
Transformation of Mrs Crinkle was very well done -- and I love the backstory.
Chronicle looks good as well! Thanks for running this!

I definitely enjoyed the roleplaying in this short quest too. It certainly made a difference. Everyone did great. I hope to run again with all of you.
Thanks again for running this quest. I'll "see" you again in October!
Giles Morningstar II |
How do I record the chronicle in the organized play here to log my achievement points?
Thanks for running this, GM! And it was great to game with everyone. Sorry, this week got very busy for me.
No prob Marcus, thanks for running with us!
GM Erich |
I submitted everyone's info to the Gameday X organizers and they input it into Paizo's system for you.

The fish antics were great. I agree.
Thanks, Kaitlyn. It took a while to work out this character, and I think she's going to be a lot of fun to play.

Oranna, look at the link in my post from yesterday (at the end of the first sentence), your chronicles are there for you to download.

You should read through the intro to our first adventure together. I almost spit my coffee from laughing.

As for eating raw fish, I don't know about the rest of the world, but here in the Netherlands it's a tradition to eat raw herring with bits of onion. Granted, that's with the head and innards removed, not sure how you feel about that. :)
Kaitlyn Deathsbane |
Well, maybe not the whole fish, but I personally love sushi... :)
Kaitlyn Deathsbane |
Looks like we're session 3 for Gameday :)
