We still have 3 small rooms (30 person-minutes to search, e.g. 15 min x 2 people or 10 min x 3 people). Let's do those and skiddaddle.

Darven, Bocke included the +3 from Prolific Author with his roll above. There's still An Exciting Read, though.

I'll make a post later today, in three hours once I have more free time at home.

I find myself thoroughly lost again. I don't know why I'm having such a hard time keeping up with this scenario, but I am. If we still need to actually take the time to make copies of the things we have found, I'll do that while other folks are searching. If we don't, because the copies are assumed to come into play as part of the searching or some other hand-wavy reason, I will help in searching one of the remaining rooms.

Research(Know: Arcane), skim, off-skill penalty: 1d20 + 11 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 11 + 5 - 2 = 25

You have only three rooms left unsearched: Classroom, Recital room, and study room. No one stated which room you are searching, so I'll be the judge of that. Then again, Bocke correctly stated how much time it would take to search them all; it would be 27½ minutes in total.

Henrikuaxian's skim basically eliminated the entire need to calculate that little extra time per search it would take to make copies. In addition to giving a +5 bonus to rolls, though I admit I forgot to add that in at one point.

Classroom

Darven, Makras, and Tinker search the classroom, looking through all the desks. They manage to find a total two clues. They've concluded it to be thoroughly searched and not containing anything of interest anymore. Link to slide

Recital room

Bocke, Henrikuaxian, and Gillie look through the Recital room, finding some interesting clues. Link to slide

----

And by this time their second hour has come to a half, according to their hourglass. Furthermore, the caretaker's scream for help didn't reach the guards, as no one has come to see what's going on. I do want to know what you are going to do with the caretaker. Leave her gagged, drag along with you (somehow?), something else?

The team joins up to search the last room, the Study chamber. Since it's such a small room, only four members tackle the task, leaving Makras and Gillie outside. Without Makras' frothing doomsaying and Gillie's compulsory climbing stunts, the rest can maybe concentrate a bit better on the task at hand. I'll have you use all kinds of clues in this, since you have them lying around.

They easily find the clues hidden in the room, and place every desk just as they were to appear they had not been searched. Link to slide

Once they are finished with all the room, Darven is able to deduce the play—the cacophony Taldans call 'music'—upstairs is hitting a dramatic moment in just two minutes. The loud music, as experienced before, will drown any other noise made in the secret library.

All rooms have been searched. The largest grand hall still has something left to find as well as the ancient books room.

I think we should leave the caretaker bound and gagged. She will definitely inform people that intruders were here, and this place sucks, so we should make her part in the invasion believable. If I was a bit more morally grey, I'd suggest beating her up with non-lethal damage as well, but neither myself nor Darven would ever officially suggest that.

With the little time remaining to us, and likely having lost some due to altering the staff member a few times early, I definitely think we should clean up and skedaddle. If anyone wants to leave false clues, now is the time to do it.

"I've been thinking about the caretaker! I have some drinks that could make her have a sleep! And it might make her seem a little less reliable..."
Gillie pulls out a couple of bottles of a definitely alcoholic nature.
He pulls the cork from one and the smell is enough to make the eyes water.

Darven looks shocked, "We can't make her look drunk! That would make it seem like she got wasted, and this is partially her fault...No, I think we should just leave her tied up to cause her the least amount of trouble later."

Makras grunts. "Dead, alive? Guilty or innocent? Does the dust care where the windstorm carries it? Does--" A sudden belch interrupts the dwarf before he can really get going. "We should talk over ale. I'm thirsty."

"I can't help but feel there is more to find, but we'll just have to come back another time," Bocke jokes. He then remembers the caretaker and suddenly gets serious. "Uh, I'm kidding. We won't be back. Please understand that we mean only the best."

Bocke is okay leaving her tied up and gagged, but he'll make sure she gets a drink of water before they leave, in case she doesn't get discovered right away.

"Let's go."

Gillie hands Makras a small flask of strong whiskey.

He then goes over to the Guardian and shows it the shield.
"Is this you? Why is there a shield with your face?"

"I guess we are just about finished here. We will need to leave the caretaker but I have an idea. Maybe everyone grab a room and take one last look before we go." Tinker said as he pulled out some paper and ink.

I would like to create a forged document making it look like her words will be suspect and not believe what she says. No modifier added as I do not know what materials I can use. Someone with a good bluff can help me write it. Using my +1 reroll at this time.

Gillie shows the shield to the guardian, who merely scoffs. "Aye it is me, what of it?" Before Gillie can continue, he is snatched with the rest to leave the library.

The pathfinders replace the illusions and take their seats. The play doesn't even draw to a close when Tobias knocks on the door, and opens the door. He is visibly irritated. "You made a ruckus down here! One more offense and I would have stormed here to keep quiet! Now I have to explain the administrator's about why there were such rowdy guests in the library during a grand play! Now off you go, shoo, and if you ever come another time, try to behave properly!"

Having been booted out of the academy hastily and before your two-hour time was even up, you at least avoided the crowded exit and return to venture-captain Muesello's hidden lodge in the brisk evening breeze.

Although the door tells the bait and tackle shop is closed, a lonely candle burns on the countertop. Muesello, eagerly awaiting your return, jumps up from his seat and rushes to open the door and let you all in. You convene at the familiar back room, and the excited venture-captain barely can stay in his seat as he inquires your results.

The team's expert (and extensive, thanks to Henrikuaxian's skim!) notes prove to be exactly what the Pathfinder Society was looking for, and excite Muesello to no end. He is also glad to hear no guards were alerted to their presence, but seems anxious to learn of the caretaker, whom they failed to convince. Regardless, the venture-captain congratulates the team for a job well done, and offers them a Taldan night at the local wineries.

FIN

This scenario has so many moving pieces I have to calculate. Chronicles are coming up. You did not receive full gold, but get all prestige points.
