So we used 3.05 hours rescuing the pod and getting angie into the sick bay and conscious.
Having had similar thoughts as to what Abebe had voiced Navarre wonders if the local officials will release Angie back into their company. Or if the pod will be impounded as well. Furrowing his brow, he asks her, "Angie, would you mind if I removed that link beacon so we can track your ship?"
Either way she answers the question, I'm assuming the radio's have ear buds so our communication isn't heard by everyone. If that's not the case he will stay in the room.
Stepping out of the med bay so the wounded human wouldn't hear him, he presses the button on his radio, "Hey Cable, what do you think of the idea of inviting Angie to go with us? Maybe help her recover her ship?"
"To be honest, I think Angie is the best lead we have to closing in on the Witch. She also needs protection and to find her ship. The best course of action is to log all of this information with Star-Barker, ensure that their crew is not compromised, ask that the questioning take place her on STF, and also request that Angie be remanded to our custody so that we can find her ship, and the bounty."
Cable smiles ...
"All of that AFTER they have transferred the 200Kcr to us, naturally"
Navarre "Two-Fingers"
Before he left to room to speak with Cable
Nodding in agreement with Boom, "Your right Boom, but I do intend to remove it from the pod in case the authorities insist on impounding it." Nodding politely to Angie, "Thank you Ma'am."
having stepped out of the room to speak with Cable
Listening carefully to Cable's thoughts, Navarre nodded in agreement, sming at the comment about the credits. "I'm glad you think so, I'll tell her the officials are approaching and ask if she would like to travel with us."
Stepping back into he med bay Navarre informs their patent, "I'm going to attempt to remove the comm link, but before I head that way I wanted to ask you, would you join us in our search for your ship and your husbands killer." He furrows his brow, telling a white lie, "I'd understand if you just wanted to stay with the officials and let them do their job." It was a lie, maybe a white lie, but still a lie. If someone had killed one of his family members and stolen his families method to provide, he'd want to hunt them down and kill them himself. But of course back on the rock it would have been Venssa's mom forming the assault party and letting him take point. Focusing his thoughts back on the here and now, he looked to Angie for an answer.
Nodding to the lady, he heads to the 'pod' taking his mutlitool off of his belt he began working on removing the com link. Realizing he wasn't going to be able to get it loose, Navarre thumbs his radio, "Boom, would you help me with this device?"

"Greetings I am commander York, please to meet you. Our Medic needs to see the injured pilot you recused. Also our tech would like to see the life pod if she can."
There is the sound of the ship undocking.
"They is going to the other ship to inspect it and interview them. I will be staying with you."
He nods to the Trooper who lowers his laser rifle.
"So do you mind showing us to the recused pilot"

"In medicine, we normally ask for consent prior to anything that violates freedoms or privacy, guess there must have been a course I missed in starship operations. Weren't many courses my mom let me miss though ..."
"Aya - delete any recording of any party from whom you do not have direct consent to being recorded, and let me know when that is complete? You have Adebe's implicit consent it seems ... but we will discuss your privacy protocols at another time."
Monger Abebe *He that flys*
Abebe sees his explanation of his actions failed, and lets events proceed. "Docking acknowledged, Welcome Aboard, Star-Barker."
At the awkward pause, Abebe eventually says over ship intercom, "Angie is in the medbay and as I understand things the pod belongs to her. The imaging system can show you the path to it, honored guests." Abebe types the commands to show the route to the constabulary.

"I am Nathan Grey, Chief Medical Officer of STF ... and Captain also for what that's worth."
Going to a comm panel, "Mister Adebe: you're all the steward we have, and it seems our visitors have become guests. Would you please prepare the main cabin for their use? I will make coffee shortly."

@Navarre -You work and set the transponder.
I'm not sure if you mean 'set' or 'get' he was trying to remove it from the pod so they could use it to follow her ship.
Realizing the patient had touched his arm, Navarre pauses. As she answers he nods in agreement. What chance would they have? He believed whoever had the transponder would be able to track the ship. Though the question about returning the ship to her may be a different matter. Nodding to her he answered, "I understand, try and rest now."
Taking the transponder with him to engineering, he began to carefully look at the piece of equipment. He believed it to be the key to finding Angie's ship, the pirate and their means to get AYA's previous master home.
As he worked he heard Cable asking Abebe to 'prepare the main cabin.' Raising an eyebrow, either the woman had gotten much better much faster than expected, or something else was going on. Tabbing his radio he asked, "Abebe, is there anything I can help you with?"

Abebe hears the Captains call, and replies, "Let me check the pilot controls, and I'll be on it soonest." He then asks Aya, "Are you good for holding relative station while I attend to our guests?"
Assuming the Aya is okay, he heads toward the main cabin when Navarre's voice pops up in his ear's comlink. He says, "Uhm, maybe. Just how many guests are we to have? Angie and how many officials, three I think? So four people it seems unless you saw more. Actually I'm more worried about life support, the last engineering report was not too encouraging. Can it handle nine for long? Could you check on that?" Abebe will try to make the cabin as comfortable as possible.

'That's a good question.' Actually not sure how many 'officers' there were, Navarre makes a mental note to ask Caleb how many folks had joined them. At Abebe's recommendation he also starts doing the mental calculations for the change in personal numbers effect on the life support system. Going to the screen he begins pulling up information. "Good questions all Abebe, I'd gone to engineering and didn't see our guests, I'll check with Caleb."
Tabbing the radio he considers asking Caleb, then realizing he may be busy, asks instead; "Anybody, is it just three officials? How long will they be with us? Abebe had a good Idea about checking life support, I'm going to take a couple minutes and follow up on that."
Having finished on the radio, Navarre started looking at some numbers, running the math in his head to get a rough figure on how 'life support' would handle the extra load.

"We aren't taking anyone to Terra guys, they just need a place to unwind a little and that's what we have. I wanted to make sure there wasn't anyone's dirty laundry in there, that is all."
There's a pause, but they can all tell the channel is still open ...
"For clarity; our "visitors" were stranded with us and I am being choosing on behalf of all of us to be polite. They are soldiers. They will do as their commander orders. They could all sit in the commons and be fine with that ... and the one guest we have will remain in the Med Bay for quite some time. Happy to instruct our visitors to wear vacc suits if you need it 2F, just let me know how your calculations turn out."

AYA says now ordered she can do that. And takes over the ship as auto pilot.
The officer walks over to Angie, he takes out a kind of small pen like device and ear bud, using them he scans her arm. It chimes, he keeps hold of it as he takes a seat. He then asks.
"Pilot Angie Mcleen, could you tell me in your own words what happoned"
Angie nods and starts to tell him what she told you.
@Navarre
1: The life support is under strain you thing there may be a chance it could fail as in CO2 scubbers failing in the next 1 to 2 days.
2:The pules transmitter has a power pack, its clever its a cleaver hack of the local comm relay system using the PING of linking as a means to give a ball park location of its linked twin. Like cell phones and towers. Seems its an off the black market shelf. Presumably the linked other part is on her ship. That would pick up the ping and send it back.

In the dimly lit hold of the Aslan vessel, the officer cautiously approaches the life pod that has been discovered amidst towering stacks of cargo crates. His footsteps echo against the metal flooring as he draw nearer to this enigmatic object.
The officer's eyes narrow with curiosity and concern, His gaze fixated upon the life pod's exterior. It bears deep scars and marks, evidence of an arduous journey through the unforgiving vastness of space. Every scratch tells a story of survival and resilience against unknown perils.
As they reach out to touch the life pod's surface, their gloved hand hovers momentarily above it before making contact. A sense of trepidation tingles through their fingertips as they feel its cool metallic texture beneath them.
With utmost caution, they trace their fingers along its intricate design – identifying seams where various panels converge with precision engineering. The officer marvels at the craftsmanship required to withstand immense pressures and harsh cosmic radiation encountered during interstellar travel.
Peering through translucent windows on one side of the pod, seeing it now empty. A flicker of uncertainty dances across their face as questions arise. As sensors hum softly in response to proximity, emitting soft pulses that penetrate hidden recesses within the pod's interior - vital information begins streaming onto display screens embedded in forearm-mounted gauntlets worn by our intrepid officer.
His mind races with possibilities while processing data - monitoring oxygen levels, detecting any hazardous chemicals or biological contaminants that may pose risks to both crew members and ship integrity alike. Time seems suspended in this moment; suspended between apprehension and hope.

Abebe decides to blame the old fabrics for the less than ideal results of his efforts in the main cabin. Not wanting to use a possibly overhearable voice interface, he activates a data screen and types, "Aya, the fabrics are a bit stiff, any solutions to make the bedding better?" Not hearing anything from elsewhere in the ship as the privacy lockdown takes effect he starts to wonder why the Star-Barker did not recover its crew given that it should be able to overtake any ordinary civilian ship. He types, "Aya can you track the ship that called itself 'Happy new sunrise' and the Star-Barker? How much acceleration are they doing? And does the vector seem to lead to anywhere obvious or to a suspected pirate point? Thank you."

Realizing the transponder would only 'ping' on time, Navarre studied the device but didn't send it off. Tabbing his radio, he informs the others. "The transponder wasn't rigged the way I thought it would be. Once I activate it, they'll know we're looking for them. Seems like we should make sure we're ready for that to happen."
Digger Boom
Boom stands up when the officer asks to see the pod. He takes him in there. When he asks about the transponder he says "I believe the engineer has it if it is not in the pod. He was looking into it. Hold on." When Two Fingers comes over the comms he nods. He says to the officer "Yes he does have it and once it is activated the pirates will know they are being looked for. I'll take you to engineering if you are done here or when you are ready."
Monger Abebe *He that flys*
At Aya's reply, Abebe is both surprised and disappointed that it's possible to do something but it will take time so not yet helpful. Interesting that Happy is fleeing the system against a faster ship, expected of a pirate ship but it wouldn't hurt to check if any communications were coming off either of them.
Abebe goes back to the flight control area closing the door behind him and hears Navarre's update. He then drops into the communication position and works to see if either the other two ships are sending com signals out that they can pickup, "Aya, help me scan for any com signals or jamming signals coming from either of those ships that left our area. I want to know what if anything is going on out there, most especially if a potentially hostile ship is being called in."

Abebe gets Aya's report and looks at the battle. Both are using disabling shots, reasonable for both customs and pirates wanting to control ships. First Abebe tells Aya, "Aya, keep scanning the area but every so often check on the two combatants and update any change in status. Thanks." Abebe keys the com and reports to the crew, "Looks like Happy is running for a jump point, Barker is closing and they are tossing EMP missiles at each other. We'll see how that turns out. So what's happening with the rest of you?" Abebe settles into the pilot seat.

You then get feed back that tells you an area where it is." He frowns slightly "Once you ping them they will know they have been pinged and will likely kill the receiver. So we will probably only get one shot at it."

"STF Crew, sound off. I have said this before: I am the Captain of Registry because all vessels need one; I am no one's commander. I would hear everyone's opinion on the offer, while also sharing that I think it is solid and I am inclined to accept. That said, we are also from a culture which values the art of haggling, so I must at least ask for more than is on the table, pun intended as a physician: you have offered to cover the "medical" expenses of the vessel, could you also agree to cover damages to her crew? I can patch up pretty much anyone, but I would like to ensure that any harm this crew comes to will be remedied as well. This mission goes way beyond rescue and salvage."

Boom laughs "If we need to use our personal weapons we are in a lot of trouble. But I'm in provided the crew's medical is covered too. Does this get us the 200k as well for information leading to the capture of the pirate?"
Cable smiles ...
"It had been my intention to address that with our new comrades, probably privately, but now that it's out there: it would be in good faith for that transfer to take place before we incept this mission. Clearly, we have already provided information leading to the capture of the pirate, the invitation is practically predicated on it."| GM_Panic |

The damaged shuttlecraft floated aimlessly in the vast expanse of space, its once sleek and polished exterior now marred by deep scratches and scorched patches. The hull had suffered punctures and dents, evidence of a fierce battle or catastrophic accident. Pieces of debris from the surrounding wreckage clung to its surface, spinning slowly in the weightless environment.
The shuttle's solar panels were tattered and torn, barely functioning to provide power to the remaining systems. Wires hung loosely from exposed circuits, their frayed ends catching glimmers of distant starlight.
Through shattered viewports, glimpses could be caught of the interior. The cabin was a scene of chaos; control panels were shattered or malfunctioning, displaying flickering lights and distorted screens. Loose equipment floated about as if caught in a perpetual ballet.
The once sturdy seats were torn and ripped open, their padding escaping into space like ethereal ghosts. Emergency oxygen masks dangled from broken compartments, their usefulness long gone.
Despite its state of disrepair, signs of life still lingered within the damaged craft. Flickering emergency lights cast an eerie glow on abandoned personal belongings that had been left behind in haste—torn photographs floating freely alongside discarded clothing articles.
As you look with the long range scanners you see A lone form in a Vacc suit there by the broken ships windows, it seems to be linked to a temp air tank and signalling with a light.
Outside the shuttlecraft's protective shell lay a trail of scattered debris—a testament to its harrowing journey through dangerous territory or an unfortunate encounter with cosmic forces beyond comprehension.
As it silently drifted through empty space—silent except for occasional creaks and groans—the damaged shuttlecraft appeared both fragile yet resilient; a symbol of determination against insurmountable odds.
The officer says,
"That was one of the ships we sent this way, we have to go any saviours"
