Feeling the rush of the focus-enhancing cocktail he created, he attempts to disable the trap. Using a biohack to give himself a basic booster to boost skill checks.

NOOOOOOOO! I posted a big thing yesterday and was surprised to see no replies :-( Sorry, this one isn't as flavorful.
Indeed, this paperwork is for show and is rarely used.
Unfortunately, the jig is up. A trio of undead guards emerge from around the corner. They can tell instantly that you're not supposed to be here and everyone starts reaching for frostbite-class zero rifles!

Clearly not accustomed to opposition as skilled as the Starfinder team, the undead guards start to wither under fire.
Castana nearly drops one with the hammer, and a split second later Lapodie blows its head clean off!
The remaining two guards stand their ground, mostly, backing off just a step and firing at the clearly dangerous Lapodie. They both try something fancy to catch the agent off guard:

Ears laughs. "That was awesome! I love working with professionals!" He taps Lapodie on the shoulder twice. "Let's do it again."
Supercharge weapon again!
Ears isn't the only one who loves it. If there's a proper shooter like Lapodie in the group I think it's the best. A little team building, enemies going down in one or two hits, usually with nice GM descriptions of heads coming off or gory explosions. Of course now that Ears is 5th level he's going to have to find a better option soon. 4d6 just isn't what it used to be.

Zark finds that his trick doesn't work to drop the undead's defenses, not that it matters - it's blind! The shot connects.
Adding Supercharge to Lapodie's hit: Bonus: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 6, 6) = 21 WOAH!
Lapodie's shot is more than enough. Undead sentry parts decorate the walls and the odds change to 6 v. 1!
An instant later Dr. Koob strikes the remaining guard, doing a bit of damage to its ribs.
