"Just Bill as far as I know, and he's inside," Kaydee says.

"If we're trying to fly under the radar, this is probably the best opportunity we'll get to inspect the primogen's domain. We're supposed to announce ourselves, but he can't exactly receive us at the moment, so..."

Male Human Cleric 1 (HP 8/9; AC 15(t12,ff13); F+3,R+2,+6;Init +1, Perc +4)

"I confess, I was thinking I'd have more time to get to know the area, so I'll follow your collective expertise."

One of you happens to be wearing a watch and sees that it is just after 1 am in the morning. You all remember that the primogen lives in St Paul not far from the court house downtown, which you can easily see from where you are standing and is just across the Wabasha Bridge over the Mississippi River. There is another bridge closer to you on Robert Street which will bring you a few blocks past the court house.

Kent has Freddy drive him to the nearest "night club" to their destination to get a bite. Still unable to truly manipulate Mortal minds well, and in a big rush, Kent puts up money for the "champagne room" where there might be no sex, but there will be heavy "necking" and feeding to be sure!

Kent:

You make your way to to the Lamplighter, the only strip bar in St Paul and a really seedy joint with a plexiglass covered stage where the front row can stuff money through openings. The middle of the place is a bar and red velvet leather couches surround the walls for "private" dances. There is a more private back room and pool hall with a private stage and a couple of booths for guys who want to spend a bit more.

make a hunting roll difficulty 7, you could make up to three rolls here if you liked

"We will meet you there then" - Triel nodded to Kent as he informed them he was going to feed first, then turned to the others - "Anyone needs a ride?" - she added, making sure her weapons are in place, and leading them to her (slightly beaten up) black 1967 Chevrolet Impala.

Assuming you all (but Kent) get into the Chevy you make your way downtown by way of Wabasha Steer crossing the bridge and passing the courthouse to find yourself at Galtier Plaza, a shopping mall with a large glass elevator and atrium and elevators that lead past the two security guards to the penthouse you seek.

"So... Who is good at negotiations? I get a feeling those goons will not want to let us in" - Triel smiled and asked from behind the wheel.

Gangrel 8th gen Blood: 10/15 Will: 5/5

Ben raises his hand. "I'm good at talking. If it goes bad I can take a car crash without hurting bad."

"Solid" - the woman nodded - "How do you want to do this? Lead the way, and we follow like we are the strong, silent type?" - she grinned.

Male Human Cleric 1 (HP 8/9; AC 15(t12,ff13); F+3,R+2,+6;Init +1, Perc +4)

The Tremere smirks, "Sounds good to me. I could grunt a bit." Dryly

The glass enclosed lobby is easy to see in and the doors from outside of the mall area are locked. When you make your way around towards the side door that looks into the elevators you see that these doors also are locked and the two guys at the desk will most certainly see you if you should approach.

I think we should move this along?

”You know what? Let me” - Triel shakes loose her dark hair, and pulls the zipper of her top just slightly further down. There is a clear glint of excitement in her eyes as she checks her weapons - ”Just in case” - the woman smiles and winks at the others, then moves ahead and just tries to open the main door and stroll in.

If they open:

”Evening gents. We are tasked with investigating the recent events which took place in the penthouse. What would take two strapping boys like yourselves to grant us access?” - she leaned purposefully on he counter.

Her main objective right now is to understand if they are kine or kindred, or ghouls, or...

One of the security guys wanders over to the door and puts an Allen wrench into the door bar and twists it counter clockwise and opens the door a bit looking you over and says what's the name of the person you are here to visit miss?

try an occult plus perception diff 7

Male Human Cleric 1 (HP 8/9; AC 15(t12,ff13); F+3,R+2,+6;Init +1, Perc +4)

Perception + Occult 7d10 ⇒ (8, 4, 10, 2, 6, 8, 8) = 46

Craig:
you know without doubt that these security are both simple mortals. You don't have even a sniff of supernatural on them.

Male Human Cleric 1 (HP 8/9; AC 15(t12,ff13); F+3,R+2,+6;Init +1, Perc +4)

The Tremere mutters to Triel "These two gent seem 'Abel' enough" hoping she gets the word play

Gangrel 8th gen Blood: 10/15 Will: 5/5

Ben shrugs, let the others deal with it. If it got hairy He would just step in.

"Rick Mattox" - Triel replies, after hearing what Craig has to say - "We go way back, and he told me I could crash at his place. Even gave me a spare key" - she flips the key to her own apartment - "But I arrived in town early, have been calling him, and nothing. So... Me and my associates are a bit lost out here. Any chance of you allowing us in to wait?"

Using Awe.

Charisma+Performace+Awe?: 5d10 ⇒ (5, 3, 3, 8, 8) = 27

The man at the door stands there staring slack jawed for a minute and repeats Rick Mattox...yeah come on in and wait and steps out of your way.

Triel steps inside with that ever present confident smile, casually looking around.

For surveillance cameras :D

Male Human Cleric 1 (HP 8/9; AC 15(t12,ff13); F+3,R+2,+6;Init +1, Perc +4)

Craig joins her, and seeing her smile joins in feeling a bit like he's at some beauty pageant

The four of you step into the lobby and get a look around. The guard behind the desk looks at you all like his fellow security guard is high or crazy but stays at his post.

make a perc + int roll unless you have investigation or security or some other good skill involving being a thief

Gangrel 8th gen Blood: 10/15 Will: 5/5

5d10 ⇒ (5, 10, 8, 9, 6) = 38 Specialty in random intuition on perception.

Male Human Cleric 1 (HP 8/9; AC 15(t12,ff13); F+3,R+2,+6;Init +1, Perc +4)

Well, I do have investigation and Larceny, do I add that to the Per plus int roll or use them instead of the int?

go with the higher roll

Perception + Intelligence?: 4d10 ⇒ (7, 10, 4, 6) = 27

What are the specialties?

Male Human Cleric 1 (HP 8/9; AC 15(t12,ff13); F+3,R+2,+6;Init +1, Perc +4)

7d10 ⇒ (6, 5, 1, 8, 7, 6, 2) = 35

As you all mingle in the lobby you are looking around and you all note there is a electronic camera in the lobby which is pretty rare and then you also note that it most definitely is not connected to the security desk.

Daughter of Cacophony 8th Generation | Bloodpool: 15/15 (Points Per Turn: 3) | Willpower: 6/6

Perception/Larceny: 1d10 ⇒ 81d10 ⇒ 91d10 ⇒ 71d10 ⇒ 10

"Looks like real security is a little better than Tweedledee and Tweedledum over there," Kaydee says in a hushed voice. "I could keep those two distracted easily, but there isn't much I can do about the camera."

for reference these are vcr fed cameras that are large and swivel and that is state of the art to get you an idea of what you are dealing with

After about thirty minutes of standing around Kent arrives looking a bit rosy cheekes and knocks on the door

GM Ring of Gold, what exits are there from this area? Trying to understand if we can make way to an elevator area, or stairs or something along those lines. Also trying to understand if there are dead angles on those VCR cameras, etc.

Male Human Cleric 1 (HP 8/9; AC 15(t12,ff13); F+3,R+2,+6;Init +1, Perc +4)

Craig tries to figure out the best way to avoid/dismantle the cameras without notice

Int plus Tech? 5d10 ⇒ (8, 3, 9, 8, 6) = 34

if both guards were out you could follow the rotation of the camera and cut the line but the camera if it is working will cross the elevators a few times here. There are escalators leaving up and down to the mall which is locked and closed and you guess there is a fire escape stairwell someplace

Male Human Cleric 1 (HP 8/9; AC 15(t12,ff13); F+3,R+2,+6;Init +1, Perc +4)

Craig whispers his ideas for options to the others

Gangrel 8th gen Blood: 10/15 Will: 5/5

"I could distract everyone for a while. Keep them busy while you do what you do."

"Do it"

9th Generation Ventrue - Willpower 8 - Blood 5/14

ST:

Hunting Rolls I believe DC 5 as this is a "lower class" neighborhood - Carousing with the Ladies:
Charisma+Subterfuge 4d10 + 3d10 ⇒ (2, 1, 4, 2) + (10, 2, 2) = 23
Charisma+Subterfuge 4d10 + 3d10 ⇒ (6, 6, 5, 6) + (3, 9, 1) = 36
Charisma+Subterfuge 4d10 + 3d10 ⇒ (2, 7, 10, 7) + (8, 8, 1) = 43

After I feed should I just have myself walk up to where they are now?

Kent:
Yes just outside knocking at the door

Gangrel 8th gen Blood: 10/15 Will: 5/5

Ben walks over to the two guards and smiles slightly. "Hey, you guys got anything to drink?"

9th Generation Ventrue - Willpower 8 - Blood 5/14

Kent peers in hoping that his new allies and not some guards come to the door.

The guy who is awed continues to stare at Triel like a long, lost love and the man at the desk is looking at this whole thing like it's the most crazy night ever. He is noting something in his log as you walk up and he says to the left there is a bathroom with a drinking fountain which you can see on the wall and sure enough opposite the elevators in the hallway on the far side of the desk are a set of bathrooms with a drinking fountain.

Meanwhile the guy at the door says to the guy outside the door (Kent) Hey Mister the mall is closed and the residential door is down to the right in front of the elevator.

Gangrel 8th gen Blood: 10/15 Will: 5/5

"Thank you kindly." Ben pulls an old candy bar from a pocket and walks over to the fountain. Bending quickly he takes a large swig of water followed by downing the old candy bar with gusto before turning back to the guards he starts to speak. "Got that sugar problem that actor keeps talking about and I think..." His words cut off as his face turns to distress and he begins vomiting up water and candy bar along with a small amount of his recent feeding...

Your distraction folks.

the guard by the door stands with an inability to act for a bit still staring at Triel's assets.

Meanwhile the guy at the desk yells out hey call 911 Mark! and comes running over and gets behind you trying to do do CPR and convince you to continue to cough while sliding his foot between your feet and preparing to guide you to the ground so you don't sustain further injury.

Kent, I think GM Ring of Gold had already waived your hunt, and you were already with us. right? Otherwise Triel would have already asked her 'fan' to let you in :D

Triel looks at the others, nodding them to act now, since between herself and Ben, they seem to have the guards distracted.

Gangrel 8th gen Blood: 10/15 Will: 5/5

Ben slumps to the floor, not breathing.

Male Human Cleric 1 (HP 8/9; AC 15(t12,ff13); F+3,R+2,+6;Init +1, Perc +4)

And off the Tremere moves to find a way to dismantle or reposition that camera to cove r their tracks while folks are distracted

please make a larceny and dex roll to get there DC 8 and a Tech and int roll DC 7 to disable the camera

Male Human Cleric 1 (HP 8/9; AC 15(t12,ff13); F+3,R+2,+6;Init +1, Perc +4)

[oooc]Oooh rough odds, but here we go, I thin I'll spend a WP on the first roll[/ooc]
Larceny plus Dex 3d10 ⇒ (6, 4, 10) = 20
(Plus WP sux)
Tech plus Int 5d10 ⇒ (1, 10, 5, 1, 4) = 21
