Caitiff 8th gen Blood: 14/15 Will: 6/6

Kent and ST:
Even sitting you can tell that Sean is a little under six feet with a runner's build that says he could run almost forever even before the Embrace. He is dressed in blue jeans and a nice, but nondescript, shirt. His flame red hair, bright blue eyes, and a healthy collection of freckles leave little doubt of his heritage even before he begins to speak, His first few words, accented quite strongly in a way both similar to and different from the Duke, reveal that his Irish origins are none too distant, "Thank ye', Sir. An' so it is that I am also at your service should there be ought I can do for ye."

Gangrel 8th gen Blood: 10/15 Will: 5/5

ST:
Almost didn't get this in before shabbat. Paizo being strangely lagging today "Preciate it, but it will probably do better in your stomach my friend. Got my kit jacked in Indiana by the blue, put me in for a day and gave me a one way here. It ok, one city good as another." He smiled broadly at his own statement.

13th Generation Nosferatu Bloodpool 7/10 | Willpower 5/5

GM and Mal:
Vinny being a paranoid sort, counted his lucky stars that he tended to store his money in separate bank accounts. Meant he had a big wallet with lots of ATM cards, but the advantages were worth it. He withdraws the ATM limit Probably between 1 and 2 thousand dollars. but he would like to get about 6k if possible "Rightio champ, let's get you yer flower. Can't hurt to have friends at the university as well!" He perked up. It was looking to be a very good night already.

GM:

Vinny scribbles a message on a receipt that he found in his pocket, detailing the events of the evening, and slips it to the cat. Maybe the boss'd be interested, maybe not.

9th Generation Ventrue - Willpower 8 - Blood 5/14

Sean and ST:
Kent gets it once the Duke announces his Clan but his face is unreadable. He gives a slight shrug to the Elder Toreador and a telling glance to show that he is in no way going to avoid anyone here at Elysium.

Then the Ventrue strides over to the group of Kindred confident but not haughty and gives a slight bow to the Duke, "Duke McGillivray, Kent Woolthorn, Clan Ventrue, pleased to make your acquaintance".

He then turns to the other two Sean and Mateo, "Gentlemen".

Old Ben:
the hobos all chuckle at the any city will do and one makes comments about going south to be warmer since anywhere is warmer then Minneapolis. After a bit the pull out some rabbit and start cooking a stew for everyone and offer you some

Mal and Vinny:
Bill drives you both from the bank after you grab some cash to a couple of more ATM's until you have what you want. At the first stop the cat stretches out and jumps out of the car and goes running off when you opened the door. Bill shrugs and keeps going. After another hour of cash getting you get to Riverside. It's on a bluff overlooking the city. There are glass hallways between buildings called skyways that connect the entire city so you would never have to walk on the street, like a tunnel system in the sky... You get brought to this high class building with condos and restaurants and a bridge going across to the University. Have a good trip, you guys got about three hours to get this done

Vinny!:

"But don't you need that cat...?" Mal starts as the cat sprints away, but as neither of the others seemed worried about it, he doesn't really press it. The cat probably knows its business.

"Indeed. I just hope we can make Ms. Moon more of a friend when all is said and done for. And for just a flower, how much can she want?"

Mal glances up at the Riverside. It was nice, but he'd seen nicer.

"Bill didn't really say exactly where Thorn Moon was," Mal says to Vinny as he gets out. "My plan is to just start asking random people and see if they've heard of her. Either someone will know, or she'll hear and she'll come meet us to make us stop asking about her. Either one is a win!"

Not one to settle for later when now is perfectly fine, Mal is as good as his word and asks the first person they see if they've heard of Thorn Moon.

13th Generation Nosferatu Bloodpool 7/10 | Willpower 5/5

GM and Mal:
"My money, your problem. You wanna take the lead on this, or should I? If you end up doin' it, I'll be watchin' but my ugly mug makes people uncomfortable sometimes, so I'll take some pains to hide it."

Kent and Sean:
Duncan nods to Sean remaining seated during the introduction. When Kent arrives and introduces himself Mateo starts to get up. Mateo has a thick Hispanic accent and is wearing a red bandana tied around his arm with a mantis tattoo. He has black hair and green eyes and as he gets up you see Duncan hold up his hand as if to allow Kent's approach. anyone speak Spanish understands Mateo's cursing under his breath Duncan speaks I haven't had a Ventrue talk to me for a long time. How novel. Looking to find a way to impress the harpies and hoping for some help to be recognized and gain Domain I would imagine, Woolthorn? Duncan's brogue is particularly thick and you get the feeling he doesn't like Ventrue at all and isn't trying to hide it

Lauren:
GM wrote:
you have anything you want to do with the rest of tonight and tomorrow before the meeting?

Maybe do some wandering around to get a feel for the town, but no, otherwise I'm good to progress whenever!

9th Generation Ventrue - Willpower 8 - Blood 5/14

ST and Sean:

Kent remains impassive, "Perhaps that.

Perhaps I lack proper etiquette to know who to speak to and who not to speak to.

Or perhaps I don't merely despise someone because I am told to.

Truth be told I suppose is I am always looking for a novel experience and it seems I've found one.

Perhaps we shall speak again Duke. In any event, this has been a pleasure". Kent makes sure there is no disdain in his voice whatsoever and is indeed sincere.

He nods again to Mateo and to Sean and heads back in the direction of the Toreador scanning the room for any other Cainites who might be able to provide him with some conversation. If there are none he will turn to Etianne, "I was informed by Primogen McNeely of some of the residents of the city but as he appeared to be in a rush I did not press him for further clarification.

Tell me, if you could be troubled, who are the Primogen of the city?"

Caitiff 8th gen Blood: 14/15 Will: 6/6

Kent and ST:
Sean returns Kent's nod as the Ventrue approaches, though Sean does not recognize Kent as such until the Duke mentions Kent's clan. Seans demeanor does not change, as he has had very little experience with any of the clans and if one judges by the examples of Mateo and Duncan, each member of a clan is likely to be his or her own heady brew.

Sean watches the exchange, noting the polite hostility Duncan has toward Kent and, while they exchange words, idly speculates if it is a clan thing only or if Duncan dislikes Kent personally.

Once Kent departs, Sean turns his attention back to the Duke and waits.

Lauren:
Ok we will have you look around town and you can pick a few places to check out the next day you spend the rest of the night tracking down your friends at the circus who all seem to be acting a bit strange staring at various things being forgetful about what they had been doing earlier

Lauren:
What kinds of things are they staring at?

Gangrel 8th gen Blood: 10/15 Will: 5/5

ST:
"Sure, thanks." He took as small a serving as he could and asked a few questions as he stared out at the city. "Now I guess I got to start walking if I am gonna get kit in the morning. Any nice people out there helping the walking man?"

Lauren:
one is staring at the elephants. Another is staring at the wall. A third is watching a popcorn machine that's off. One is kneeling down staring at their shoe laces. Yet another is staring into a mirror. The strangeness stops as you get to the edge of the circus camp but even in people's trailers you find one staring at their clothes standing partially dressed. It's like as you arrive they all come out of some sort of fugue and for the life of them don't remember the last hour or so.

old Ben:
the hobos tell you that a few hours before sunrise the rail boss comes in and he'll give a guy a ride.

Vinny and Mal:
after three or four random people walk off looking at you funny Vinny are you standing out here not hiding your face somehow? a guy points you to an information desk in the Riverside building.

Sean and Kent:
Kent: before you arrive back to ask Etianne your question the last vampire in the room has made his way over to sit next to you both. He is a tall gaunt man with thin hair and thin fingers. He has grey hair and black eye color. He bows to Etianne and says Rivard, Clan Tremere, advisor to the Princess on magical issues Etianne motions unceremoniously and Rivard sits.
Sean: Mateo is looking at Duncan like his head might spin off and After a bit Duncan laughs and says good, good. I like a lad with spirit. Always more fun at the end.

Gangrel 8th gen Blood: 10/15 Will: 5/5

ST:
Ben thanked them for the information, shrugged, and looked around. "Rail boss a nice guy, given rides like that."

13th Generation Nosferatu Bloodpool 7/10 | Willpower 5/5

GM and Mal:
Nah, I've got obfuscate two

9th Generation Ventrue - Willpower 8 - Blood 5/14

Sean and Kent:
Kent remains standing as he has not be bid to sit, growing up rich has its advantages you know how to deal with the haughty and take in stride or you are ostracized, the salons of the wealthy Mortals are little different than the Elysiums of the Elder Kindred really it seems. The introduction of Rivard is all Kent assumes he will get, asking the same question twice will be deemed uncouth and he knows it so he does not bother, if the Elder wished to answer the question, he would have.

Kent gives a stiff bow to Rivard, "A pleasure to make your acquaintance.

Is magical advisor an official title or is that an advisor in an unofficial capacity? I do not recall such title being held by any in Gary or Chicago".

Old Ben:
the guys around the fire say the rail boss should be around a few hours before sunrise which isn't too long from now

Vinny:
Please be sure to mention use of disciplines so I don't get wicked ideas of breaking the Masquerade and start making evil plots

Kent and Sean:
Kent: Rivard chuckles a bit and says no it's not an official title, but more unofficial and yet recognized by all. and Etianne says flippantly so true, much like French cooking, no? A unspoken beauty and promise that only gives you more as you enjoy it. Etianne then turns to you Kent and says Do not worry young Kent I heard you, the teacher will not forget the quiet and patient student who is respectful. Yet the school bell rings and time she waits for no one not even us, no? There is a bluff that overlooks Fort Snelling on Shepard Road. A lovely house sits there which of course I think lovely because it's my place to meet my adoring public. Come by after a few hours of sunset Young Kent and I shall regale you with our areas worthy names in return for your story. Etianne passes you a small business card with an address and stands and departs saying to Gordon and Rivard Take care of young Kent for me and make sure he gets home tonight and to see me tomorrow.

Vinny!:
Mal pondered the question. Though he was not one to ponder overmuch, he felt this deserved whatever thought he could give a thing. He knew himself to not be gifted when it came to making the word-noises. In even just the few moments that he knew Vinny, he could already tell the man was better at word-work than himself. However, yeah, for the mortals, the Nossies were butt-ugly enough to not make it matter if they all spoke with the King's Ye Olde English.

"I'll take point for the now, but if'n you got an idea, go ahead and let fly."

Getting funny looks from negs never meant to mind no him. Back when he still breathed air, he fancied himself about of a Pick Up Artist--when the mood struck him--and the first rule of PUA was to relish the turn-downs. Everyone knew that you stuck gold 11% of the time, so every 'no' was just one step closer to a sweet sweet 'Yes!'.

"The front desk you say? Well thank you sir!" Mal says, already turning. 'Where did Vinny go? Ah, he's probably around. Is that what that trick does? Wow, yep, that's effective.'

Mal marches up to the aforementioned info desk and repeats his question.

9th Generation Ventrue - Willpower 8 - Blood 5/14

Kent and Sean:
Kent bows respectfully and takes the car, "Ah French cooking, one of the few things I miss from the Mortal life. Well that and the Sun.

I shall be there, thank you ahead of time for your Hospitality Elder".

He let's the potential threat from the Brujah roll off of his back careful not to react. While not formally welcomed into the city yet, Kent would be surprised if Duncan made a move on him this very night. Not that he would refuse an escort to his vehicle, that would be most rude. It would certainly not be the first time that a Brujah smashed this Ventrue's teeth in, after all, fighting is not Kent's specialty!

After Etianne departs Kent turns to Gordon and Rivard, "Primogen McNeely mentioned that the Ring of Gold is the dividing line between our kind and that of the Lupines.

Is that some sort of neutral territory where one could possibly encounter their kind or is the delineation so strict that one crosses an actual wrong side of the tracks as it were?"

Kent lets his excitement at the prospect show just a bit, after all he has never encountered such a being before and is naturally curious as any who seeks out new experiences would be.

13th Generation Nosferatu Bloodpool 7/10 | Willpower 5/5

GM and Mal:
Heh :) Sorry about that, will do that in the future. Breaking the Masquerade doesn't seem like a great plan on my first night!
Vinny followed Mal. He never really got used to just fading out of the mind's eye, but it certainly was a useful trick to have. And if Mal got into trouble, Vinny was pretty confident he could bail him out. Not that he expected trouble, but in his experience that was when trouble was most likely to pop up. There was something about the other Cainite that troubled Vinny, he couldn't identify the clan they belonged to easily, but they certainly didn't seem like they were of such thin blood as to not manifest their clans particulars. He pushed the thought to the back of his mind, and continued through the university.

Kaydee:
This is a far cry from civilization as you know it but you aren't likely to run into "problems" in the middle of nowhere. Julia or Lady Thorn Moon owns a new age parlor for fortune telling and selling incense and books and crystals in Riverside just off of the University of Minnesota. She also has an old Victorian house near by and teaches a couple of classes at The U. You are at her shop New Moon. She is telling you about her domain, the University and that she earned it for saving a friend of the Princess here.

Vinny and Mal:
you make your way to the information desk and you both see a map with a space called New Moon. Easy enough to make you way down to the store.

Kent and Sean:
Gordon and Rivard both look at you a bit and finally Gordon says the Ring of Gold is not broken, and is a circle around the cities formed by the main roads. The only kindred who speaks to the lupines here you will be meeting tomorrow at his guest home.

Daughter of Cacophony 8th Generation | Bloodpool: 15/15 (Points Per Turn: 3) | Willpower: 6/6

ST:
"Thanks a lot for inviting me, Jules—sorry—Lady Thorn Moon." Kaydee chuckles. "That's going to take some getting used to." She goes over to a shelf of "healing crystals" and picks one up, giving her friend a skeptical look.

"And this place! After college in the city... What do you do for fun around here?" She asked.

9th Generation Ventrue - Willpower 8 - Blood 5/14

Kent & Sean:
"Not broken, understood. Sometimes crystal clarity is a necessity, I made a fortune as a Mortal blurring the lines. Of course I lost a fortune that way as well". Kent chuckles.

"Blurring the lines in this existence is quite a bit more dangerous.

It's amusing in a way, it's more dangerous to be an Immortal than it was to be a Mortal. So many more ways to meet your end, the rules much more strict in every sense. Ironic isn't it, I would have expected Immortality to come with more freedom when the exact opposite is true. Little different than a child wishing to be an adult and finding that responsibility is a much stricter guardian than your parents ever could be.

Tell me Gordon, do you still paint or sculpt? How do you pursue your artistic passion? I assume Rivard that you pursue your passion through the arcane arts no?"

Gangrel 8th gen Blood: 10/15 Will: 5/5

ST:
Old Ben smiled broadly at his luck. "Going to be a good day. Everything looking up except the weather." He sat down and waited for the boss man.

Kaydee:
I am on a college university with my own domain and a herd to enjoy. What isn't to do? The pagan scene here is the best in the united states and the art and theatre is great. It's not bad until it's 20 below and you have to start spending blood to not turn into a popsicle

Kent and Sean:
Kent: Gordon laughs and says rules that are for the protection of our kind and allow us to have this shining oasis. As far as the rest, well, the traditions of the camarilla are each in lace for their reasons and have been some of them in place for far longer. I am an excellent painter and no poseur. I have my own studio where I paint under an assumed name

old Ben:
about an hour later a ford pick up with Great Northern Star drives up and swings over and the hobos give you first dibs cause you lost your kit. The guy inside waves you in and you step into a very clean and heated truck. The guy offers a hand shake and says George Slade, but everybody calls me Slade. Where to? he says waiting for a name

Daughter of Cacophony 8th Generation | Bloodpool: 15/15 (Points Per Turn: 3) | Willpower: 6/6

ST:
Kaydee laughs. "I guess you're right. College towns are mostly the same wherever you go," she says. Then, more seriously, "So tell me about the prince. I understand she's a Gangrel? Anything I should know before I present myself?"

Vinny!:

Mal makes his way to the New Moon store.

Kaydee, Mal, and Vinny oh my:
Kaydee: Julie looks down and you see two people entering the store on camera but only one coming through the door in front of you. She curses a bit under her breath right before the bell over the door chimes and they enter.

Lady Thorn Moon is wearing black clothing with a purple crystal around her neck with long black straight hair and extra eye liner highlighting her very pale skin. please describe yourselves

Lauren:
Lauren furrows her brow, wondering if there's something wrong with this city. She couldn't hang around the carnies all night to ensure they wouldn't just space out. "What's the last thing you do remember?" she asks, hoping to at least find a common cause. She wonders if it's possible that a spirit like her possessed them - though why it would keep their bodies in one place, she couldn't imagine.

9th Generation Ventrue - Willpower 8 - Blood 5/14

Kent and Sean:
Kent listens attentively as Gordon makes his point and it is certainly a fair counter point and, of course, one a Mortal parent would make!

"It is good to know that you still paint. I have found that my own Mortal desires are lacking. Then I suppose I have not had the freedom to pursue them overmuch since my Embrace.

Of course, most of my vices were intertwined with my Mortality making them difficult to pursue. I must find some new passion".

Liberty's Edge

Parry: 8| TOU: 10(2){Bal}| RATN: 6 {shield}| PP: 15/15| Notice: d4| Bennies: 3/3|

Vinny and Kaydee!:

Mal walks with a casual manner. Friendly, not overly. Quickly, but not hurried. Though in good shape, he doesn't flaunt it like an athlete. He's dressed casually, black casual pants and a blue polo that brings out his eyes. He wears a constant wisp of a smile as if the world is a joke that only he understands.

"Hi there!" he says brightly. "Me an...an...am looking for. Yes! Me am looking for a flower," he starts awkwardly, as if he was about to say something and then realized that he shouldn't be saying it. "But it needs to be a special one. Specifically, uh, do you guys know Janice? She's at the Conservatory. I, uh, I kinda got on her bad side, but I heard a rumor I could get on her good side if I brought her a flower that the Conservatory ain't got.

I also heard a rumor that the Wise and Knowing Lady Thorn Moon would be knowing of such a flower.

Is...is that true?" he asks, hopefully.

Lauren:
everyone remembers doing their normal routine and then when you arrived and they all just want to continue on with what ever they were doing.

Kent and Sean:
Kent: Rivard says I remember this place when it was untamed wilderness and only the Fort Snelling stood here a small dot in a sea of nothing. Do not be too hard on Duncan there. A healthy hatred can keep you more human into the long darkness of time. Duncan and Rivard look at each other across the room unspoken things between them.
Sean: Duncan looks to you and says what brings you to the Twin cities Sean?

13th Generation Nosferatu Bloodpool 7/10 | Willpower 5/5

GM Mal and Kaydee:
Nosferatu. Hideous. Almost painful to look at. Thick, almost rubbery skin. But Vinny wears it proudly, although he is obfuscated at the moment. He walks with a confidence that isn't quite a swagger, and although ugly, his confidence is almost contagious. He wears leather, and a white T-shirt, although there is a hole in both, where his heart would be. He's obviously quite strong, and subtle movements indicate that he's far from exerting his full might. He stands behind Mal, watching the whole interaction."

Caitiff 8th gen Blood: 14/15 Will: 6/6

Kent and Sean:
With no history outside of the Kindred, Sean has little to add to this conversation of histories. He sits quietly listening to the others. Until Duncan addresses him again, startling him with the question. After a slight hesitation he speaks softly, "Ta be honest, me lord Duke, I made a right mess of things in Chicago when I met the Prince there. It was made clear ta me that it would be easier for me to start over than ta remain. Ye see, me lord Duke, I've nae Clan, nor Sire that I know."

Daughter of Cacophony 8th Generation | Bloodpool: 15/15 (Points Per Turn: 3) | Willpower: 6/6

ST, Mal, and Vinny:
Kaydee also looks down at the security monitor when Julia swears. Never having met a Nosferatu before, a look of disgust flashes across Kaydee's face for an instant, followed by a brief look of annoyance when she looks up to see only one man. Aside from that brief moment, Kaydee's face remains passive, almost bored even. She's wearing black boots, tight bluejeans, a black AC/DC t-shirt, and a green blazer.

Mal, Vinny, and Kaydee:
As Mal starts talking Lady Thorn Moon's face changes to one of calmness and she holds up a hand and says All private inquiries require private meetings in my Tarot Parlor. she flips the door sign to "with a client" and locks the door and pulls one of the thick red curtains on the walls to reveal a room none of you considered was there. After you all go in she pulls a thick door closed with a thunk after pulling the curtain. Then she sits and says [b]I advise you to need speak publically about kindred business unless you are in kindred spaces or know that no mortals are near. There is a robust FBI presence here and a couple of hunters.[b]. She pauses.

Gangrel 8th gen Blood: 10/15 Will: 5/5

ST:
"Name's Ben, but most call me Old Ben on account I'm old. Less you in Hot Lanta, they call me Old White Ben cause they already got an Old Ben." He shrugged and smiled. "Should probably go somewhere I can find a meal and some help... churches always been pretty nice to me, unless you know someplace better?"
