"Vinny"
Vinny scribbles a message on a receipt that he found in his pocket, detailing the events of the evening, and slips it to the cat. Maybe the boss'd be interested, maybe not.

Then the Ventrue strides over to the group of Kindred confident but not haughty and gives a slight bow to the Duke, "Duke McGillivray, Kent Woolthorn, Clan Ventrue, pleased to make your acquaintance".
He then turns to the other two Sean and Mateo, "Gentlemen".

"But don't you need that cat...?" Mal starts as the cat sprints away, but as neither of the others seemed worried about it, he doesn't really press it. The cat probably knows its business.
"Indeed. I just hope we can make Ms. Moon more of a friend when all is said and done for. And for just a flower, how much can she want?"
Mal glances up at the Riverside. It was nice, but he'd seen nicer.
"Bill didn't really say exactly where Thorn Moon was," Mal says to Vinny as he gets out. "My plan is to just start asking random people and see if they've heard of her. Either someone will know, or she'll hear and she'll come meet us to make us stop asking about her. Either one is a win!"
Not one to settle for later when now is perfectly fine, Mal is as good as his word and asks the first person they see if they've heard of Thorn Moon.

Kent remains impassive, "Perhaps that.
Perhaps I lack proper etiquette to know who to speak to and who not to speak to.
Or perhaps I don't merely despise someone because I am told to.
Truth be told I suppose is I am always looking for a novel experience and it seems I've found one.
Perhaps we shall speak again Duke. In any event, this has been a pleasure". Kent makes sure there is no disdain in his voice whatsoever and is indeed sincere.
He nods again to Mateo and to Sean and heads back in the direction of the Toreador scanning the room for any other Cainites who might be able to provide him with some conversation. If there are none he will turn to Etianne, "I was informed by Primogen McNeely of some of the residents of the city but as he appeared to be in a rush I did not press him for further clarification.
Tell me, if you could be troubled, who are the Primogen of the city?"

Sean watches the exchange, noting the polite hostility Duncan has toward Kent and, while they exchange words, idly speculates if it is a clan thing only or if Duncan dislikes Kent personally.
Once Kent departs, Sean turns his attention back to the Duke and waits.

Sean: Mateo is looking at Duncan like his head might spin off and After a bit Duncan laughs and says good, good. I like a lad with spirit. Always more fun at the end.

Kent gives a stiff bow to Rivard, "A pleasure to make your acquaintance.
Is magical advisor an official title or is that an advisor in an unofficial capacity? I do not recall such title being held by any in Gary or Chicago".

"I'll take point for the now, but if'n you got an idea, go ahead and let fly."
Getting funny looks from negs never meant to mind no him. Back when he still breathed air, he fancied himself about of a Pick Up Artist--when the mood struck him--and the first rule of PUA was to relish the turn-downs. Everyone knew that you stuck gold 11% of the time, so every 'no' was just one step closer to a sweet sweet 'Yes!'.
"The front desk you say? Well thank you sir!" Mal says, already turning. 'Where did Vinny go? Ah, he's probably around. Is that what that trick does? Wow, yep, that's effective.'
Mal marches up to the aforementioned info desk and repeats his question.
Kent Woolthorn
I shall be there, thank you ahead of time for your Hospitality Elder".
He let's the potential threat from the Brujah roll off of his back careful not to react. While not formally welcomed into the city yet, Kent would be surprised if Duncan made a move on him this very night. Not that he would refuse an escort to his vehicle, that would be most rude. It would certainly not be the first time that a Brujah smashed this Ventrue's teeth in, after all, fighting is not Kent's specialty!
After Etianne departs Kent turns to Gordon and Rivard, "Primogen McNeely mentioned that the Ring of Gold is the dividing line between our kind and that of the Lupines.
Is that some sort of neutral territory where one could possibly encounter their kind or is the delineation so strict that one crosses an actual wrong side of the tracks as it were?"
Kent lets his excitement at the prospect show just a bit, after all he has never encountered such a being before and is naturally curious as any who seeks out new experiences would be.
"Vinny"
Vinny followed Mal. He never really got used to just fading out of the mind's eye, but it certainly was a useful trick to have. And if Mal got into trouble, Vinny was pretty confident he could bail him out. Not that he expected trouble, but in his experience that was when trouble was most likely to pop up. There was something about the other Cainite that troubled Vinny, he couldn't identify the clan they belonged to easily, but they certainly didn't seem like they were of such thin blood as to not manifest their clans particulars. He pushed the thought to the back of his mind, and continued through the university.

"And this place! After college in the city... What do you do for fun around here?" She asked.
Kent Woolthorn
"Blurring the lines in this existence is quite a bit more dangerous.
It's amusing in a way, it's more dangerous to be an Immortal than it was to be a Mortal. So many more ways to meet your end, the rules much more strict in every sense. Ironic isn't it, I would have expected Immortality to come with more freedom when the exact opposite is true. Little different than a child wishing to be an adult and finding that responsibility is a much stricter guardian than your parents ever could be.
Tell me Gordon, do you still paint or sculpt? How do you pursue your artistic passion? I assume Rivard that you pursue your passion through the arcane arts no?"

"It is good to know that you still paint. I have found that my own Mortal desires are lacking. Then I suppose I have not had the freedom to pursue them overmuch since my Embrace.
Of course, most of my vices were intertwined with my Mortality making them difficult to pursue. I must find some new passion".

Mal walks with a casual manner. Friendly, not overly. Quickly, but not hurried. Though in good shape, he doesn't flaunt it like an athlete. He's dressed casually, black casual pants and a blue polo that brings out his eyes. He wears a constant wisp of a smile as if the world is a joke that only he understands.
"Hi there!" he says brightly. "Me an...an...am looking for. Yes! Me am looking for a flower," he starts awkwardly, as if he was about to say something and then realized that he shouldn't be saying it. "But it needs to be a special one. Specifically, uh, do you guys know Janice? She's at the Conservatory. I, uh, I kinda got on her bad side, but I heard a rumor I could get on her good side if I brought her a flower that the Conservatory ain't got.
I also heard a rumor that the Wise and Knowing Lady Thorn Moon would be knowing of such a flower.
Is...is that true?" he asks, hopefully.
