Igor and Tiny Pebble left the building at the beginning on round 1. Do they still need to make reflex saves for falling debris on round 2?

Also everyone please remember that the entire building is difficult terrain now (so half-movement). This may reduce Raynard's last move to 15'. At least going half-speed in B2 means no Acrobatics checks so that is a slight upside. :)

Pai sees her life flash before her eyes as the glittery invisible tentacles whollop her soundly and hold her fast. Then all of a sudden she's super slippery. Writhing and squirming, she gives all she's got to her escape effort, screaming terrified gibberish all the while.

They will both take the run action but they stay together at Tiny Pebble's top speed. So that means they move 80' this round and they are well off the map.

@GM Fuzzfoot - Igor and Tiny Pebble started Round 2 outside the building so I am assuming that they do not have to roll reflex saves for falling debris. If I am incorrect then let me know and I will roll for them.

^Yes but taking a 5' step after escaping the grapple would probably not have helped as the monster could simply re-grab her this round. Risking the opportunity attack to fly away was the right move. It just did not work out.

@Nectanebo - You might want to move into the room as the stairs I think is blocking your line of effect (the GM will have to adjudicate). Otherwise you might do collateral damage to Raynard (and possibly others) if you summon the effect on the stairs and then have them move in. Considering how tight this fight or rout is going to be we need to be careful with any possible missteps. Very nice effect btw. :)

Borax raises an eyebrow apprehensively as Nectanebo starts to undress before him. As the elf's actions become clear Borax exhales in relief.

As a "flood" of ghost seems rather small, Borax quips, "Well, I did think it would be bigger!?"

Borax can hear Pai suffering in back in the building, whirling around and making eye contact with Igor, 'I have a smokestick, if someone things that will be useful? I would need to light it and then throw it immediately."

The effect of the stench is a sickened condition. The character takes a –2 penalty on all attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks.

Droogi misses as the creature moves by, but manages to get two claw attacks in now. Does Droogi have magic fang? If not, he did no damage.

I posted a long post in discussion explaining why but Droogami should be hitting with both the bite and the AoO due to the fact that the monster had the Grappled condition at the time of these attacks.

@Pai - thanks! I thought so, but must have forgotten to write it down.
@Igor - your rules clarifications are only correct in some regards, but fail to recognize others. Rather than retrying the entire transaction which would be much much worst for Pai, I am going to leave it stand and we will move on. I will, however, take into account the penalties for the grappling creature RAW even though they make no sense here for any continued issues, including allowing Raynard’s attach to be a hit here.
@Nectanebo - with Igor and Borax effectively out of the battle, you are up and then the monster can go again.

Grappling discussion continued:

Actually what happened to Pai is exactly what I think should have happened in terms of results anyways so there is no need to revisit that point anyways. Escaping from a Pin is the same as escaping from a Grapple and only requires one check. Once she escaped the Pin she would have no penalties at all and would be able to use her acrobatics and flight normally to flee the monster.

In terms of the grappling rules I did not invent them and I agree that they might not make sense in terms of a creature with multiple tentacles. However these are the rules by RAW. If a creature wants to begin a grapple and not gain the grappled condition then they must make that grapple attempt at -20 to the roll as per the grab ability in the Bestiary. That being said you are the GM and it is a game so if you feel that you want to make any changes going forward then go ahead. I would just ask that you let us know so we can plan accordingly. :)

Igor draws forth a scroll of Fly should he need to use it in a possible footrace with the monster. He then moves with Tiny Pebble a further 30 feet from the building.

Igor made a note about not weakening the creature that isn't actually correct. You all DID successfully steal 3 of the keepers from the beast, so it is in a weakened state (and I have been accounting for that - but I did NOT give you weakened stats since your knowledge would not have necessarily known that. I am not trying to talk you into or out of any tactics, but I do want you to know this could be much worse. As such, I will start including the negatives visibly where appropriate.

"EEEEE--cough-cough!" The shrill shriek that escapes from Pai catches in her throat and causes her to choke on her own spittle. She *really* doesn't like having that thing so close to her. Flinging a blast at its face out of sheer panic, she ducks and weaves her way out the door, panting with wild eyes. Trembling in terror, she lets out a blood curdling scream. "AAAAAAAAA--wait! @Grimdog - We are too far away for that to be a reality. At Tiny Pebble's top speed he could only get there in two rounds. You guys are almost there anyways and I can loan Pai my shirt re-roll to bypass the SR roll next round if necessary.
