I am here as well. :)

GM Fuzzfoot |

Sorry, folks - we got bad news health-wise in the house just before Thanksgiving, and so our schedule has been pretty crazy trying to get tests done and treatments planned, worse because we've been referred to a place over 3 hr drive away. So far, it looks like maybe we caught it early and shouldn't worry too much, but there is a lot of added stress to our already wonderful 2020!
Anyway, I will try to keep up, but I am likely to disappear like this for a few days here and there without much notice.

![]() |

Oh no! Of course RL health issues come first. My extended family has had some of that, and it really does take up a lot of space in one's mind and heart. Take care of yourselves however you need to. We all wish you the best. Hopefully 2021 will be better.

![]() |

I've kind of been hoping someone more qualified than I could run a Heal check on my ghoul scratch....

![]() |

Remove Disease is unfortunately not on the Wizard's list. Lini can attempt Long-term care and that might help. It is a slow acting disease and the adventure will likely be over before you rise as a Ghoul. :)
If you like you can always pay for Remove Disease from an NPC Cleric for 1 Prestige.

![]() |

Technically, I need to be aware I've been infected, is the thing.

![]() |

Typically you can assume that you would be likely to be infected if you are knowledgeable about Ghouls and the potential for Ghoul Fever.

![]() |

Pai has been on the receiving end of this, so she'll be able to tell you about that possibility. I'll put something in Gameplay to that effect so you can act on it.
[Edit: Oops! Too slow.]

![]() |

Pai and Lini might be a bit out of their element as beat detectives.
It should be amusing to see the reaction of the townsfolk. :)

![]() |

I take it I'm now in the clear regarding my infection?

GM Fuzzfoot |

Just a note - there is a lot more to this module yet to go. Was anyone planning on having their character free for the upcoming Outpost?

![]() |

Not [i]this particular[i] character, necessarily - as a matter of fact, I had no "plans" for the upcoming Outpost at all.
Admittedly, I guess the theme would be a perfect fit for Nectanebo, but them's the breaks.

No.

![]() |

Outpost is not in the cards for Igor this year. He is needed here.

![]() |

@Chyrone: Thanks for sharing. We hope it all gets fixed soon.
I love how each one of us is saying: "I don't have to rest, but we should rest for all of you."
Four out of six of us say we don't need to rest. Of the other two, Borax is an investigator, so probably (?) doesn't. Not sure about Nectanebo. Looks like we can probably just go, especially since time isn't on our side in the upcoming stinky monster super-slug fight.
Someone'll have to bot Nectanebo if he can't get back before we get into a fight. I looked at his character sheet, and am confused by it. It looks like he has three different spell lists, each one being associated with a specific item in his inventory. So...spontaneous spellcaster? It's not clear how many spell slots he's used, so we'd have to go back through Gameplay to take stock of that. Hopefully he'll be back before that's necessary.

![]() |

@Pai - Realistically we should have his character fade out until he finds his way back to the game. Botting his character through the adventure really makes little sense.

GM Fuzzfoot |

Let's just call it a nights rest and I won't hold it against your timeline. This is one of those modules that works much better face to face, so I am happy to adjust a bit to better account for delays.
I expect that even if Nectanebo can't post, he is probably keeping up on the thread, so we can proceed as if he we rejoin soon. If you end up in combat before that point, we can figure it out then.

![]() |

Here and ready (for the time being, at least :S).
By the way, you never said what I got out of my Psychometry reading on the Manuscripts.

![]() |

Holy Cow. I've come back to 52 posts.
Apologies to the GM and player. When the Paizo site crashed, I didn't realize I had been logged out and wasn't seeing updates. Then I had to shut down all my safari tabs and forgot about this one.
I'lll try and catch up.

GM Fuzzfoot |

Understood! Luckily, you have been opening locks for them, so all's good. Glad to have you back!

![]() |

Yeah, that snafu really threw lots of people for a loop. There are folks in each of my games who still aren't back yet.

GM Fuzzfoot |

I was a couple days behind because I also didn't notice a problem. I was seeing my Campaigns page, but it just had nothing new. It wasn't until I tried to post something to get something moving that I noticed the issue, and then I figured it was a system bug, so I waited a day or two more before I started trying to find answers.

![]() |

Not sure what to do here; stealth is one of this character's weak suits, and are we not being a bit premature in assuming our nameless alchemist is hostile?

![]() |

As a player I can say that it is most probably not a good plan. However it can still work and it really depends on how much Pai's character wants to do it.

![]() |

Pai's overly enthusiastic and impulsive. Cooler heads are encouraged to redirect her energy.
To note: We are here to kill two guys. Whether or not this man is one of them remains to be seen.

![]() |

thew odd thing was he posted in one game, but not this one...the post notifications might be borked for him...
I have all my games open on tabs. When I had to shut down the browser, I forgot I had it

Snow...lots and lots of snow. Where is everyone btw?

![]() |

Washington, USA. Our city pretty much shut down for a couple days because of the snow, but things are looking up for us now. Fingers crossed for the rest of the country!

GM Fuzzfoot |

Got snow, but the sub zero temps are the worst. Had my furnace go out yesterday (woke up to no heat, glad we were home!), and daughter's car wouldn't start the day before. But other than taking a few unexpected hours in the cold, not too bad off. I read yesterday that millions of people were without power. Millions! That's crazy - and I am thankful we have what we do.

![]() |

Seattle had snow for like two days. Then it got warm, rained, and is almost all gone. It was awesome for those two days. But glad it isn't a six month thing.

![]() |

Sorry, sorry, SORRY for being AWOL for so long!
I apparently live deep inside a black hole, or a Stephen King-Tony Hillerman collaboration that didn't work out very well; nothing ever happens or changes here...although we did get an epic "I can still remember the sound of getting carpet-bombed by ice-balls and then the smell of a hundred crushed trees and then almost every car in town was totaled" hailstorm several years ago.

![]() |

Yikes! Life sure is fickle, wild, and crazy sometimes. Glad you're still kicking.

![]() |

I don't normally use a shield, but I can; does anybody have a worthwhile spare, or have we found any?

![]() |

We are in a city so if you like you can certainly buy something as mundane as a shield. Heck you could even probably borrow a bog standard shield from the mayor once we get back to our lodgings.
