Okay guys. We know from the briefing that this lady is super evil and she is a spell caster.
IMHO, every round we give her probably is a buff being cast. I would propose to immediately attack but don’t want to throw the party into this.

Ranalus does not particularly care whether she is evil or not, the real question for him being if she is an obstacle to us completing the mission.
But knowing that there are others who might feel more strongly about matters of morality, he'll go along with the party.

Talking is almost always the preferred option as you can always move to combat latter. It is also not practical to be attacking everyone that you think might be Evil.

@Rock, while I generally agree with you, I would point out that a single readied attack to interrupt casting may be more valuable than iterative attacks that do not interrupt casting.
But hopefully we take it down fast. Then again, Setare might end up solo'ing it.

@GM Erich - Thanks. :) A quick question. If Ginger is able to Pin the Golem with a Grapple manuever does that mean that the Golem will have to break the grapple in order to be able to attack her? That is my understanding of the rules but I want to verify it with you first.

It sounds like there might be another way to get a crystal, but that isn't going to work for any PC in an Outpost IV game (which starts Tuesday).
I would say we should take the deal.
Ranalus does have a super-high Perception. But if the PbP of finding a crystal would take more than 2 days real-time (like there is another encounter), PCs could have problems.

As I said at the beginning, Ranalus is happy to cast Heightened Continual Flame as a 5th-level spell for any of you who wish to have an option to counter Deeper Darkness and the like. That just costs 50 gp of ruby dust.

Hah, trying to sell the crystal for 2,500 gold was priceless. If she was less outrageous (say 500 gold) I am sure that she would have gotten away with it too. :)

The funny thing is it was the key to your secondary prestige point but only given the following description in the text:
The morlock Agajprak possesses such a crystal, but she charges a high price for it; If the PCs wait until after encounter B1, Agajprak sees no reason to bargain for favors. She is willing to trade such a crystal in return for bribes worth at least 1,000 gp (2,500 gp in Subtier 10–11). Alternatively, the PCs can search Rachikan for a power crystal, which takes two days of exploration.
