Eustice moves back a bit and heals himself up. Then he tries to think about what this creature is but is too distracted by healing and the situation to know what it is exactly.

Kelpy is unable to make purchase with the creature.

Mary Kay does not know Planes. But these are dimension door-like effects, so probably spell-like ability. She really wants this Slow to land, so will use the last charge of the piercing rod to help make sure they are stuck.

With a look of concentration, Mary Kay steps to the side and unleashes a wave of energy across the room.

Mary shoots some Magic Missles at the creature and finishes it off. Fang shows everyone the Circlet and the Ioun Stone that he found on the pillar that are detecting as magic. There is nothing else here and you are confident that those were the only 2 hounds.

She hands over the Circlet and puts the stone in her palm for someone to claim.

They will begin to answer some questions you have with the island and the location your currently.

What can you tell about this island?
The humans called this place Zanas-Tahn. They built all kinds of buildings, machines, and temples here. It was once a group of hills, but when their end came and the sea swallowed the continent of Azlant, this island was all that remained of Zanas-Tahn.

What is this stone monument?
The humans who once lived here used this place as a lure to capture my kind in glass globes. Do you know why? To use us as lights! Lights for their entertainment!

Have you seen humans on this island before?
Many humans lived here in ages past, but they’re long gone. Rocks came from space and killed all of them. After a brief silence, they burst into derisive laughter, then continues, We have heard more humans have come here recently. We think the ulat-kini have them in their broken temple.

You know that when they mention Ulat-kini was another name for the Skum that you heard the Wyrwood creatures call them.

What can you tell about the skum living on this island?
The fish-faced ulat-kini live in a half-sunken temple on the east coast. They like it in the sea and don’t come on land very often, but when they do we like to scare them. So delicious is their fear.

Where is the temple?
It is located on the east coast of the island, near where the river meets the sea. You should seek out the House of Bees first and continue due northeast from there.

What can you tell about the faceless stalkers living on this island?
The Ugothols live in caves in the north, or they used to. We heard they’re on the move. We thought you were them when you first arrived at our garden. Wherever they’re going, they’re smart enough not to come here. After saying that, they laugh mockingly in unison.

The location of the House of Bees that they gave you matches the direction that Fang seen the Large Bees.

So now you have 2 locations to go to a place called Wheels of Heaven and House of Bees.

Mary Kay listens as the beings speak.

That is terrible that happened.

For humans, that was many generations ago. Are you immortal, or have a long life span like the elfs? It would be interesting to get a report of the event from a direct observer. But it would have to be at a later time, our companions still need help.

Are these bees the little ones that fit in my hand, or the bigger ones that can pick us up?

Not sure how old we are been a long time and not very found of the past with those humans. Glad their all dead. They start to chuckle again.

The bees are about the size of you. I am not sure about picking you up by rather large for a bee.

With everything that's going on it would be nearing the end of the day. You know the one safe place would be with the Wyrwood creatures.

Let me know if you want to go rest then after do you want to go to the Wheels of Heaven or House of Bees.

A 20-foot-tall building has been built into the slope near the summit of the island’s tallest hill. The interior of the building is a machine consisting of thousands upon thousands of gears. A giant tube similar to a spyglass rises from the center of the contraption.

You can enter the facility and notice the large device that has a telescope that is part of it. Unfortunately the lenses of the telescope have been destroyed. The great part is that the clockwork mechanism has sustained only minor damage. If you want to make the repairs you can give me a Craft (Clockwork), Disable Device, Knowledge Arana, Knowledge Engineering, or Use Magic Device. Also if you want to aid you can help with Strength check (DC10) to give a +2 to someone.

Mary Kay pulls out the crystalline item found earlier and places it on her forehead, symbolizing the 3rd eye. After walking around and muttering for 10 minutes pieces of debris start to fall from between the gears.

Logically, there needs to be a belt or rope spanning these two symbols so there is linkage allowing the free movement of ideaoms.

With quick work you all are able to make the neccessary repairs to get it to somewhat function. After you activate the mechanism you can study it for about 20 minutes. You all learn the central operating principle and can use it to make simple calculations.

When you go to run the simulation you start to hear the sound of meteors screaming through the sky accompanied by a bright flash and rumbling ground.

Perception:

Eustice Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Kelpy Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
Fang Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30
Mary Kay Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Atlan Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13

Luckily Fang, Kelpy and Mary are able to point out places for everyone to stand to not get hit by the meteors that end up falling all over the room. After the meteors hit you all think that it was some type of Haunt and know that it will not summon those meteors until tomorrow.

When the simulation runs you are able to find that it shows a mass of objects traveling through space at a great speed on a trajectory to collide with Golarion. While you all are studying this data entry, the metal pin panel shows the word “pillars” in Azlanti, and displays a three-dimensional
representation of the location’s topography. Each planet’s location relative to Golarion at any given moment is also stored in the mechanism. Curiously enough, much older data entries include two planets orbiting at a distance between Verces and Eox, and the panel displays the names Damiar and Iovo for these entries.

Mary knows that the followers of Amaznen cultivated bees and giant bees both for their religious significance—the bee was Amaznen’s sacred animal—but also because the high quality honey they produced was a luxury product that fetched a good price. The advanced social behavior of honey bees was seen as a symbol of working together toward a common goal.

Eustice knows that bee honey was a prominent ingredient in the cuisine of Shaval-Kehn, and it was also used in herbal medicine and for the production of honey wine. You also remember a few old Chelish and Taldan honey-based recipes that are allegedly Azlanti in origin.

Fang moves up and you see something motionless in the middle of the room. Tiny in size and looks like the picture on Slide 1.

You also see in the room protective suits that seem very well made, some vials, and a cabinet with stuff in it but not able to make out much more where you are.

Mary Kay babbles excitedly about the uses of honey and wanting to maybe get a collection to bring back when they return this way with the others.

As they get closer to the door, she quiets down and gets serious.

"If we wait a few moments I might be able to retrieve the protective suits. Or perhaps its best if Kelpy goes."

Eustice casts Sanctuary on Kelpy and encourages the leshy to go collect the protective suits without disturbing the bee.

"I'd be glad to kelp!"

Eustice casts Sanctuary on Kelpy and then Kelpy will slowly move in the room. He heads over to the cabinets by the door on the other side of the room and look in the one that is open. He finds 2 mithral chainmail and 3 vials of antitoxin. He opens the next cabinet and is able to grab a few pieces of bee-themed jewelry (worth 1,500gp) and a golden key. Kelpy is able to grab everything and come back the entire time the thing in the middle of the room is motionless.

When Kelpy gets the 2 mithral chainmail back to you they both detect as magic.

Perception:

Eustice Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
Kelpy Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Fang Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14
Mary Kay Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Atlan Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15

As you all are standing there Mary you hear a faint sound of buzzing from the north.
