After having a chance for a breather everyone gives the room a look around.

"These look like wonderful toys." She tosses the Ring toward Kelpy and hands the spider over to Atlan. "Should protect from mishaps a little."


You all gather yourselves and leave the room now with the place a bit more lit up you see down the hallway that ends up going to water but you can't see any farther. In front of you there is a room that you approach but further down the hall you see water spurting from a broken fountain then a small doorway at the end of the hall and see that there is another hallway at the end going south.

You all stop at the doorway, position yourself and then open the door.

The smell of oil and grease fills this room, where armor-plated statue heads, limbs, and torsos as well as gears of all sizes have been placed on stone shelves. A nearly complete body consisting of similar gears and armor plates lies face down on a stone table with a large key embedded in a clockwork mechanism in its back.

Mary Kay walks in and slowly looks around the room. "All these wonderful toys." Seeing the partial construct, she frowns.

She will take a moment to sit the creature up on the table. Using a bit of rope, she will tie the last leg to a the table, and lightly bind the hands.

She keeps repeating the following phrase in Azlanti as she winds the key a few turns. "Stay calm, we wish to talk."

This worked out so well in the last room.

The air ripples and pulses around Fang as he watches for any signs of danger.


Mary cautiously walks up while Fang stands at the ready. The others stand a healthy distance away. The starts saying things in Azlanti and starts to wind the key on the construct.

Mary finishes winding and takes a half step back. After a moment the construct starts to look around the room then looks at her hands and then her leg as she tilts her head. Then she looks up at Mary and Fang and says in Azlanti, Well met visitors. I am Aoinse. What brings you here? Is there a reason why I am bound?

In Azlanti: "Sorry, but we've had a few run ins with malfunctioning constructs similar to yourself and we are exercising caution. What is the last thing you can recall, prior to your reactivation?" Eustice asks.


In Azlanti she says, I remember the cataclysm. It was late afternoon. The sky was on fire and rocks burned through the atmosphere on their way to the ground. There were earthquakes and forest fires. The Kelveth River that flowed between Shaval-Kehn and Kalas-Ti was choked with burning debris. It swelled beyond its banks and rushed back upstream. Ash and deadly gases filled the air, killing many of the priests. Some of them were able to leave the cathedral in time, but since they never returned, I can only assume they perished, too. I couldn’t feel my connection to Amaznen—I still cannot—and I suspect it was the same for the other priests.

With how she is explaning it Eustice knows that she is referring to Earthfall.

Then she asks in Azlanti, How long has I been dormant for and what has happened?

Eustice gives his best approximation of the passage of time, and adds that it is the best estimation given the length of time and lack of records surviving the cataclysm.

As Eustice is giving the rundown, Mary Kay will be looking around for a matching leg. Not releasing Anoise yet, but maybe can fix her up a little.


Wow I have been dormant for quite some time then. I do have to give thanks for winding me up but I do have to ask why are you here?

Mary looks around and you see parts that would work but you know that it would not be an easy task and with how complex you would have to have knowledge of clockwork items to be able to assist. Anoise notices Mary look around and says, If you could find a clockwork servant than they would be able to assist in getting me full operational.

You do know that in the room that is shaped like a gear there was a clockwork creature that matches the description but also 2 others were in the room, 1 of them had a big polearm. You went into that room prior to turning the power back on.

Seeing no reason to be duplicitous, Eustice gives Anoise the groups brief history and motivations. Eustice then has some follow up questions for the clock work:

"what is your function? If released, what would you do from here? We have taken in some constructs created by the formerly great civilization and provided them with purpose, if that is something you would be interested in."


I was created by the priests that were here. I learned the ways and became a priest of Amaznen myself so I would want to bring this cathedral back to its former glory and protect the things here from beings that could use it for bad purposes. So first thing would be to drive out the beings here and hopefully we will be able to find the people you are looking for.

She looks around and notices that the power is on, The constructs you have taken in are they from here? Have you run into any others in the cathedral?

"I appreciate your dedication Fang. I think we can lower our guard, at least in respects to this individual." Eustice replies to Fang before returning his attention to Anoise. "No the constructs are more magical, than mechanical. They were discovered at another site. They're teachers, of a sort. I've learned a great deal from them. We have seen others within the Cathedral, though not functional at the moment. I feel, if our interests are currently aligned, we could help eachother. What say you?"

Anoise will look at Fang and say Hello in Azlanti. Then if she gets no response from Fang she will say Hello in Elven. Then if she gets no response she will say Hello in Aquan.

Noticing the construct looking at him, he kinda squints until she starts speaking in Aquan.

Yes I think we would be able to assist each other in this endeavor. Where did you find them and in what condition were they in? Did you recently restore the power or has it been on this entire time?

She looks at Fang and repeats herself in Aquan.

Eustice relays the information as accurately as he can recall in response to her queries.


You might want to be careful in going in that room because now that thr power is on that is a winding station so they are probably fully operational. I do not know the last orders they were given. If I could get to the panel in the winding room then I can reprogram them to see you as Allies then they will not attack you. Also from what you described one of them is a clockwork servant that would be able to repair my damaged leg with ease.

"If you would like, we can escort you to that room. I can make you invisible for a very short length of time if you would like to go in alone. Or if you think it may take too long, would you be willing to enter an extra-dimensional space for a moment? Some of my companions are much quicker, and could get you there in ease. They could also provide security for a moment, or gather you for a quick retreat if needed."


The Invisibility would be very beneficial but it would be better if you were invisible and brought me in the the control panel. If they see me they will not attack me. More than likely my former masters programmed then to defend this place against anyone. I can reprogram then to make it so you are not considered a threat to them so they will not attack you unless you attack them.

Aoinse speaks up, Honestly there is no hiding placed due to it being an open room. What the best course is go in, put me by the console and leave. You should have ample time to go in and out without issue as long as you are direct.

part of the Elemental Overflow feature is the ability to suppress the visual and audible effects, at the cost of the bonuses from burn temporarily. It automatically returns the next time I use a wild talent

Kelpy and Fang help Anoise to the outside of the room you are headed too.

Anoise will look at Fang, All you have to do is prop me up near the panel and then you can leave and I will take care of the rest. They will not attack me no matter what there orders were.

Mary casts the spell and Fang and Anoise enter and the door closes. You all stand at the ready in case something happens. Then shortly you see the door open and then close, then after a few more brief moments Fang becomes visible again.

You all wait outside the room for a few and then the door opens and You all see Anoise being held up by another clockwork construct. She looks at you all and says, It has been done, they no longer will see you all as a threat. Also this is the Clockwork Servant that I was referring to that can help fix my leg. Unfortunately it will take awhile to get me back to 100%.

It will take about 1 hour for her to be repaired and will do this is the room she was found in.

You all get ready and head westward with Aoinse leading the way.

Sturdy, ornate columns line this wide corridor, but cracks mar their surface and a few of them have fallen into pieces on the once fine marble floor of the cathedral. At the south end of the corridor, water spurts out of a broken fountain.

You get in the room and around the corner down the corridor you see 4 Faceless Stalkers and you all know there is another larger creature in the back but can't see him very well because he is obscured by the pillars.
