After using detect magic you get 2 pings of magic from this room. It is coming from the pockets of the bloody discarded clothes. When you look in the clothes you find 2 bars of gray soap that seem magical.

A long marble workbench runs the entire length of the southern wall, and a rusting metal shelf stands on the opposite wall. Squat stools line up along the bench, which is littered with a variety of small, precise hammers and chisels as well as fragments of crystalline stone that looks like quartz. A single door exits to the west, and another exits to the north.

Inside you see 2 Skum that grab their Tridents as soon as they see you.

I don't think Rhys has been hurt based on the tracker. I'd be fine with Esgi getting the healing, but I understand if you want to preserve your spell slots.


The 2 bars of grey soap are Soul Soap. The stone you are not sure. The circle you thing is something used to analyze objects.

You all go into the other room and listen to the recording.

Mary Kay will translate what the recording mentioned. Then with a bit of inspiration, she will put the item she is unsure of in the circle. Maybe with the help of the circle, she can figure it out.


You put the glowing stone in the circle and it start to have an aura around it. Those of you who either have detect magic or 3 points in Spellcraft can identify that the aura is a Strong Universal aura. The circle seems to be putting a detect magic on the item and it seems like you can identify the aura faster than if you were to do it yourself.


You guys head up the ramp and find another big room.

Much of this level is a room that wraps around the tower. At this room’s northernmost end, a ramp descends to the lower level, and another ramp on the south wall ascends to the floor above. Against a wall to the southwest is a table suitable for quiet study. The western side of this area sports half a dozen bookshelves covered in the dust of deteriorating paper and leather. Opposite the shelves is a small stone plinth holding a clockwork bust of a nondescript woman. A large table surrounded by a few stools occupies the eastern side of this room.
