Rhysfar Llannelan |

Rhys takes the telescope from his pack and removes it from the cloth he wound around it to cushion it.
"Mary, do you think it would work on this? Or would it need to be an automaton of some sort?"

Mary Kay Ponzi |

"I think it is only constructs, like that clockwork thing we found when we first arrived. But it seems to be automated. Let's give it a try.... Hmmm, that mass of ball bearings outside. Would be neat to reprogram that and have it working for us."

Evan “Fang” Grissom |

"Uh... I ain't too keen on pickin up all those small pieces. An' if it doesn't like us, having it try'n poke holes in everyone again."
Fang looks around uncomfortably trying to avoid eye contact with Mary Kay.

Mary Kay Ponzi |

"I have to remember that sometimes just because we can, does not mean we should. Still might be nice to box up for a project a few years from now."

GM Bozzinator |

As you open the door you see.
A curving ramp along the northern wall of this chamber ascends to the floor above. The east and west walls each have a single door, and a double door stands in the southern wall. Murals cover the east and west walls in this space, depicting kind-looking human adult figures smiling benevolently at children. The children, for their part, are smiling and appear healthy and happy. The figures, both adults and children, have tiny jewels orbiting around their heads in shining rings that resemble halos. Bold words are painted above the door.
What do you do?
Atlan Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Rhysfar Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Rhysfar is able to see a crossbow mounted to the top of the door on the right. He also sees a panel to the left of the door that he believes will be how to disable it. The panel is the red box on the map

GM Bozzinator |

This chamber appears to be a workshop, as evidenced by a table along the western wall laden with tools and mechanical parts.
You see 2 clockwork style creatures in front of you. They turn to you and in Azlanti say politely, "You are tresspassing, please leave the facility immediately." Knowledge Arcana to ID

Mary Kay Ponzi |

Knowledge(Arcana): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28

Mary Kay Ponzi |

With that Mary Kay closes the door and turns to the group.
"Security constructs. Polite, carry some non-lethal weaponry so may not go straight for the artery. There is a slot on the back, that if you can get a lock pick in there, it may give good results. But I do not know if it needs to be secured first. With a bit of luck they can get repurposed if we can capture them. But if we do not want to bother, electricity will be VERY damaging to them. "
Arcane Bolt 8 | Sorcerer 7

Eustice Befufftlefumpter |

"What did it just say?" Eustice asks their resident Azlanti translator. "HELLO THERE! DO YOU SPEAK COMMON?" Eustice asks the construct very slowly, and loudly with extra enunciation of every syllable.

"The other room, looked like a workshop. Maybe they were performing maintenance on themselves. But the other circle should have taken care of that. Especially since they seemed to be repairing during combat. Definitely a skill I want to learn for later in life. For personal use. Cannot see it commercially viable. You want the customers to return for new ones or upgraded models. Even if it is just cosmetic changes.
There appeared to be an adjoining room. Probably a storeroom, but could be the construct equivalent of a barracks. Do we wish to check it out to clear the side, or cross the hall?"

GM Bozzinator |

There are alot of random clockwork supplies in this area but as you detect magic in the room you find that there is one item giving off a faint transmutation aura. Upon further inspection you find it to be a recording gem, one that looks similar to the one you found in the clockwork spy that you found when you were first checking out Talmandors Bounty.
After searching a bit more in the room you find that there is a device in the room that could play the gem for you.

Evan “Fang” Grissom |

Fang nods to Mary. "Yep, should check it and make sure the place is safe."
are we shooting for the door attached to the room we opened or the one across the hallway. i'm fine either way, just trying to get an idea of where i should move to.

GM Bozzinator |

The faint coppery tang of blood wafts out of this room when the door is opened. A gleaming metal table covered in blood stands in the northeastern corner of the room. Just south of the table is a smaller table covered in surgical tools—some of them obviously used. A body lies in a butchered pile in the center of the room.
Map Updated

Mary Kay Ponzi |

Will play the gem after the floor is clear. We may not be in full SWAT-mode on room clearing. But Mary Kay will feel safer taking time to inspect things in greater detail after the place is clear(-ish).
Mary Kay gasps a bit as she comes across the scene. "Some of the more medical minded might want to look at this. Either those security constructs were doing interrogation on suspects, or someone else is in the tower and is treated as an employee."
