will need to step back instead of just straight up to avoid provoking, but once i double move, i plan to activate the quick runners shirt and move just a tad more.... every little bit helps if we're going to be running >.<

You are able to get away from the creatures and they do not follow. You can make your way back to your house and the clerics will come over and help heal you up. Ramona is going to come to your house as you are resting. What happened? Did you guys must have encountered something pretty bad?

Mary Kay gives a humorless chuckle. "Tough ecosystem down there. Some creatures were using darkness, so limited a bunch of what we could do. Ran into more of the creatures that raided the booze and attacked Joiner. Those we were able to take care of.

What got us was some crystal creatures. Fang and I had no luck with our electric, and most of our weapons were just scratching the surface without any real damage. They got a couple good blows in, and we opted for wisdom.

Tomorrow we have a small area left to check out. We still need to decide how much, if any, of a problem those crystal things are going to be."

During out reat I want to trade out the False Flanker Mesmerist trick for Psychosomatic Surge.

As you describe the crystal creatures she as a bit more information about their appearance but then says, Oh those are Crysmals, they resist electricity, immune to fire/cold, and you need to get a bludgeoning weapon to hurt them the best. I hope that helps out a little.

Rhys will argue for a full rest and to go in prepared—I'll have longstrider, lead blades, and magic fang up, plus the biggest bludgeoning weapon I can get my hands on. That said, if you guys want to skip it, I understand. I'm not so much focused on getting the gems as exploring the rest of the cave and potentially finding ioun stones.

Mary Kay looks a little sheepish. "There is a bottle on the back shelf at the house. I was making some the last few weeks. One I put there, one is in the barracks for the guards, and I have one in my footlocker. Anyone can use it."

I put one on the party loot page. I figured she would be making a small stockpile of alchemical items and eventually wondrous items.


After Ramona is finished telling you guys about the creatures. She lets you guys rest, you are able to get a full night's rest. Once you guys wake up and start getting ready, you hear about someone seeing a creature that sounds a lot like the Choker that was seen before but seemed to get spooked by the animals.

Eustice can carry my flask, Fang can take the one off the party sheet.

I will be bringing a sling and some stones for this trip. I also want to bring a simple wooden frame with a cover. Leather, sail cloth, it dont matter. I drew a line on the map. It would be a simple 5x5 vertical blank canvas with an extra leg to let it stand on its own. As we go by I want to quickly set it up. Maybe they are smart enough to stay on their side of the 'wall'.

Rhys is hoping to borrow a greatclub, or a sansetsukon. Failing either, a morningstar will do.

After resting, and before returning to the caverns, Rhys will find some berry bushes and cast goodberry again.

1st use: 2d4 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6

Finally, he'll cast longstrider before entering the tunnels, and before reaching the area with the crysmals he'll cast magic fang on Esgidiau and lead blades on himself.

You can easily grab the weapons you need and make your way to the cave. As you enter you see the Crysmals in the same area picking through the gems.

Rhysfar sidesteps to get a better angle but is not able to connect. Esgidiau is able to get a minor hit on the creature. Fang moves closer and gets in a defensive position. Eustice still is having a hard time getting used to the sling. Mary looks at trying to aid Atlan. Atlan is able to make a connection and gets a solid hit. Eustice is able continue getting into the head of the creature.
