After the fight you guys decide to head north with Atlan and Rhysfar leading the group. As you move forward, you happen to trip something because you hear a rumbling from above.

Perception to see if this was a natural deadfall or a trap: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 Noooope
Mary Kay Ponzi
Mary Kay looks rattled as the waves crash over her as the rocks barely miss her. Looking around as the water settles, she notices the gashes and bruises on her companions.
"Please gather close." She dips her hand for the golden mask again. Intoning in succession, "ROI," their wounds slowly start to disappear. "Only one more of those for the day."
Arcane Bolt 8 | Sorcerer 1
Eustice Befufftlefumpter
"Thank Mary... I was quite woozy after that knock to the head."
Eustice moves forward fearful of another trap or an attack from the enemy that fled.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
GM Bozzinator
When Eustice moves forward you find that the trap that was tripped will not reset and is the only one he sees. Also looking to the east you see that the water gets a tad deeper about 10ft and you see 2 creatures that are laying on the bottom. The 2 creatures are small and have 8 tentacles but are not moving closer.
Eustice Befufftlefumpter
Eustice points out the deeper water.
"Is it safe to assume we want to stick to the shallows for now. There's a couple tentacled creatures down there, but they seem to be ignoring us."
GM Bozzinator
When Rhysfar rounds the corner you see the creature there waiting.

GM's: Its kind of annoying when players always roll Perception checks when moving.
Also GM's: Nobody rolled Perception so you didn't see this trap that almost kills you. ;)
GM Bozzinator
After a sharp switchback in the tunnel, a gradual upward slope leads out of the water and into this roughly round chamber with a dome-like ceiling. The floor is covered in a mixture of sand and coarse stones. Rising from the ground near the center of the room is a massive statue of a hand, carved from a smooth, pearlescent, sea-green marble. The hand is bent back at the wrist and posed as if to catch something or to cradle something in its palm. If anything more exists of the statue, it is buried beneath the earth.
You see a creature sitting in the hand holding a spear. As you approach she gets up and stands right in front of the hand.
In Aquan which everyone but Rhysfar can understand. What brings you into my area? Leave now!

Knowledge Dungeoneering: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Eustice responds in Aquan, "Greetings and salutations sentient being. We are envoys from a new settlement in the area. We have been attacked numerous times by grindylows and have traced them back here. We come with words of diplomacy and have been greeted with spears. Since you are the first being to speak with us I would like to extend our humblest greetings and an offer of peaceful cohabitation. If you insist on violence, then violence you shall have. So what say we resolve this peacefully shall we?"

Tangling Tentacles (Ex)
Although a grindylow can’t attack to cause damage with its six tentacles, these wriggling legs constantly writhe and reach out to tug at and trip adjacent foes. During the grindylow’s turn, it can make a single trip attack against any adjacent foe as a swift action. It gains a +4 racial bonus on trip attacks made with its tangling tentacles, and if it fails to trip a foe, that creature can’t attempt to trip the grindylow in retaliation.
GM Bozzinator
You come into my home, attack my tribe and you talk to me about peace. I think I, Brinetooth, will choose the latter option then.

Thank you!
After Rhys knocks the bad lady away, Eustice scrambles back up and moves away while drawing a potion. He levels his hypnotic stare at her.
In Aquan, "I say madame! You missed the part where I said we followed the grindylows back here AFTER THEY ATTACKED US! So much for peace! Die like the rest foul little beast!"
Not sure exactly where she will end up but Eustice will stay just inside 30ft for his stare to work.
