@Arlo any ideas for our newest Agent?
He will be a gnome gubnslinger/inventor from the Resurrected Heroes of Zemeia from Syranix. This weekend is when I plan to finalize him.

I understand, Blue. Have fun whereever you play! :D
I was wondering what Arlo & Gift were building up to here...

... The flow of this game is that us players need to be daily readers, if not posters ...
...Having had my accident last February, I had the time but now that I am walking and looking for employment...
Glad to hear you're walking! I like your description of the game's pace and will include it in the description when do a recruiting thread.
At this point, I shall move ahead with the next mini-arc and new characters can catch up as they appear.

I'm experiencing some health issues this weekend. Arlo's replacement character will be delayed.

Busy day with an interview, physical therapy and SF Tuesday tonight, so I shall endeavor to sneak a post in somewhere....

13 is good. I guess my character was just too low a level to cast her "recall to the shire" spell and that's why she ended up in the planes! What a TWEEEST!
EDIT: I have a physical character sheet, but assume I have to wait for some kind of invite to create a character. Am I wrong?

So both my laptop and desktop decided to die on me. Introduction of gnome gunslinger will be delayed.

You should be able just create a character sheet. I'm pretty sure there's nothing I have to do - I've had people create character sheet before being accepted at all. And, unfortunately having only DM'd on Paizo, I don't actually know how you attach a character sheet to an alias but I don't think it needs an invite.

My account does not show me as part of this campaign yet. In theory, if I were to just automatically be able to join this campaign, I could just appear in tens of thousands of campaigns to drop conspiracy theories and summon cricket swarms. I do not know how this works though. I'll ask you tomorrow where the button is to create a character. I am the smart, by the way.

If you post in Game Play, the Campaign will show up on that Profile's Campaign Page.
You can Delete that post to clear it, and still have it on your Campaign Page.
You can go to Profile Page of character to edit. I copy/paste a format that I like and just fill it in.

Yep, there's absolutely nothing on the website to keep you from just dropping into campaigns and posting whatever you wanted. Other than the fact that you'd get reported and probably banned if you kept doing it.

I could imagine a group of campaigns that all allowed a wide, rotating cast of characters. But there's probably not enough people willing to do that in an interesting, serious way.

I sense the opportunity for a truly wild dimension hop through some higher planes. Go through a door into another campaign link one digit off from ours, play a round of wherever we are. Go through a door, repeat until we get to the end of a single variation of our instance code. Or maybe just a few so we don't get ban'd. Did I mention I have dangerous ideas that more often than not should be ignored?

I am starting a new job today. After 4 months of recovery, I am excited and nervous...lol. My posting may slow until I get a steady schedule.
You're welcome...haha!

I will be traveling this week. Posting may not happen for that time. Apologize but a family emergency.

When I was in the hospital very ill a few years ago, something came to mind I don't know where from but it did.
"And this too shall pass"
That single thought kept me going on some of the darkest days of my life.

I just want to say thank you. I just miss my family. My wife and kids (2 cat Merlin and Simba). They are still in Florida while I am in Michigan , working and searching for a home so that I can bring them back up here. It is difficult but I am truly thankful for both family and friends support. I am hopeful that we will be together soon.
Thank you!
Gift Fitzroy-Brighthammer |
Good luck looking for a forever home. Bet it will be amazing once you find it. :)
Terexaltherin, Pseudodragon |
Yes, good luck on the house hunting!
I just want to say I'm very impressed lately by the solutions people have found to the puzzles I've laid out.
A lot of the fun of this campaign is knowing there's not a pre-determined 'right' solution so we can collaborate on coming up with *interesting* solutions.

Terex likes to roll Nat 20s. Good thing he's on our side.
Terexaltherin, Pseudodragon |
I've been playing around with ideas of what kind of build Terexaltherin might work on from here on out now that he's starting to take Hedgewitch levels, and ended up realizing I have several ideas. :D So I thought I'd share them and see if anyone had some thoughts. There are four general "paths" I've thought of he could go for:
Infiltrating Saboteur
On the morning of battle, the army awoke to find their bowstrings cut, their swords misplaced, and the cooks’ pots missing. As chaos and fear swept through the ranks, a pair of tiny eyes watched in satisfaction.
The idea here is to keep building on Terex’s stealthiness to make him able to sneak in to just about anywhere and mess things up. I’d probably go for some abilities from the Telekinesis sphere to give him more ability to mess with things at a range, possibly some Divination for him to scout better, and probably the Scout sphere, aiming for the Walk Unseen tree to be able to hide from just about anything just about anywhere.
Pros: Builds on the strengths he already has, being almost impossible to find helps make up for him being kind of squishy.
Cons: This build would really only shine when he goes off on his own, which is always problematic and risky. Could maybe mitigate the risks with a bit of Warp sphere to get him out quick if things go wrong.
Telepathic Nexus
Terexaltherin, I need to make a call to Argeth in the City of Brass.
Linking you through now.
With the Greater Communication mind talent and the Power of the Name divination talent, Terex could hear any time his name is said and telepathically communicate with whoever said it. This could make him a secure emergency communication link for the entire Organization, able to send and receive messages across planes.
Pros: This is a capability the Organization could really use. It also would help the party whenever we’re split up long-distance from each other.
Cons: It takes a lot of talents that aren’t useful for much else, and costs spell points too.
Telepaths Give the Best Hugs
I know you’re amazing. You can do this. You can *feel* that I know you can do this. So go out there and show everyone what you can do!
Terexaltherin is a pretty caring guy, and with his growing telepathic prowess he could let everyone feel how much he cares. With the right Mind talents that could translate into handing out morale and competence bonuses to things.
Pros: He already has the Mind sphere, so he just has to take the talents. The bonuses don’t scale all that much and people wouldn’t be saving against him so his low caster level wouldn’t matter that much.
Cons: The talents give the same types of bonuses as Bardic performances, so they wouldn’t stack if Strandel performs.
Warmind
My mind shall rend you and my wrath scorch you just as sure as another dragon’s claws and breath!
Terexaltherin could focus on the offensive Mind and Telekinesis talents to be able to cause some damage and debilitating effects on his enemies.
Pros: It gives him more offensive options than “sneak attack with tail” and “sneak attack with wand”, some of the Mind talents can be quite nasty.
Cons: His low caster level would limit the damage he could deal, and make the save DC’s pretty easy for most enemies to pass.
