Good thing I said something, because I was probably leaning towards Telepathic Nexus as being part of his build. It's so hard for me to track what Gift can do (or perhaps more to the point, what she *can't* do).

I have started to limit her to being a PSI-Tech-Hacker
so Hacking Tech and Minds is her things.

The thing is with two NPCs that do a lot of what I was hoping gift would do. Make tech which Minia seems to do now, and kill things with a big gun which Armaund does now. So I am at a loss as to where to go with Gift
Other than full-on Telepath.

If you really want to be the Telepathic Nexus, I have no problem you taking that role Terexaltherin, as Hexqils only role is to be that, and if it's too Marry Sue then I will remove him, and make him part of her
PSI-Tech-Hacker.

This is VERY useful tool if you get stuck, with a PC build that does not seem to fit what you think your PC should be to fit the game.

Gift is now of a level to pay off the negative level hit, but it takes weeks to take effect.

This is what I will use to remove Hexqil and reconfigure her so she is more a fit for the game.

Ok just nerfed Hexqil into an AI only, helping her with tech stuff {her thing]

If we go out of range of our normal TP, Gift can offer a Comms Drone.

It appears at this point that I have covid. I'm fully vaccinated/boosted and don't have any serious symptoms (yet). I just have a feeling kind of like a cold but not really like a cold and the info that I was exposed (and it's too early for tests to be reliable as I understand).

So my posts might be more sporadic in the next week or so.

I'd say, if you feel like NPC's are eating into your territory, it's time to discuss maybe having one of them stay behind in the future. I wouldn't have minded switching off from Terexaltherin going the long-range telepath route, since it will take him until level 16 at the earliest (and more likely around level 18) to get it fully operational.

And ooof, Covid is no fun. Hope it passes quickly!


Personally, I like you folks having some form of long-range telepathy 'cause working out long-distance coordination slows down the game.

I think your right, the two NPCs we have are getting in the way of new players coming in and also stepping on my PC toes for one.

I have noticed we hit a tech challenge and before I can post Gift researching and doing stuff Minia NPC has it done already.

With our Dragon, I really do feel like a player could have that role.
He was a stop cap and just seemed to have stayed.

As for the long range TP
Gift will use mindlink extended as needed GM
works over any range.

One of the things about NPCs is that they allow me to add things to the discussion I couldn't as a DM and so it moves action forward. That said, having them split off may be appropriate in a bit. It seems like you may be nearing the end of this arc so that could be a good time.


Also, at this point Covid seems less likely. Boy is this nerve wracking, which I'm sure you all know.

OK, this campaign has been going on for a bit more than two years. It's been fun and impressive and has made me think.

It's been quite an expenditure of energy and it's not surprising if people posts have slowed down as other things appear in your lives.

Anyway, for the future of the campaign that options that appeal to me either you go into the "management" of The Organization, plotting the direction of the battle on a larger scale - or you move to "super spies", moving around the haunts of the transdimensional "jet-set". James Bond-esque exploits of various sorts (similar to the Syranix arc and the Pillars of Time diversion). The last options, "super spies" seems the one I'd expect you to choose, since it's basically continuing as is but with a few extra things.

The emphasis will remain on social interactions and mystery solving though some combat will certainly be included as well.

At times, with other things in my life as well, I've been on autopilot and not necessarily thought that much about the big picture. So if anything has annoyed you, I apologize. It took me a bit also realize that Rollo may actually be out of the picture for the foreseeable future (sniff). But with that the case, it seems appropriate to recruit two new characters once you return to Sigil. I'm thinking it would be good to have one cleric among them and otherwise have things open. Minna and Armaund would split off and possibly reappear with the various other rotating NPCs you occasionally encounter.

If we're talking specialization, one specialist in understanding the planes would be good.

And a specialist in technologies would be useful too. One thing I'd like to emphasize is multiple planes will involve multiple technologies so that any technologist should be researching for each plane. That said, a character can just the technology they come in with without being a technologist.

At the same time, this style of adventure calls for multiple skill monkeys and I hope people don't feel to separate the various characters domains too strongly. You're all going to be dealing with NPCs, dealing with planar properties, dealing with complex riddles, complex machinery and so-forth. Whatever the skill numbers, each character will have a unique way of solving problems and that is where things can be interesting. One character may be oriented to jury-rigging machinery while another may work with a detailed understanding of machinery, etc.

Two years, wow seems just like yesterday we started.
Lot had happened, your a great GM and I think all us players are thankful you are. :) really amazing game this.

On a player front, ya Super Spies has to be, one player wants to be a desk jockey.

I think gift will be the tech head, she has power that aids tech and can craft tech, and interface with devices in a Warhammer 40k machine spirit way.

Rollo was our magic guy, and we need someone whos all about magic,
Terexaltherin I have always seen as our plane's person. Having Shimmer and all. A god-knowing cleric helps a lot, a good healer and dealer with the divine.

I found a new homestead for the family! These last 4+ weeks without them has been difficult, but in 2 weeks I will drive down to Florida to bring them up here. Excited!

After that our lives should begin to balance a bit more.

I am still around, but not quite ready to jump in full force. I enjoy this campaign and players and DM, so I am still around.

Terexaltherin is something of a generalist. He's really great at sneaking and disable device, but otherwise has a bunch of skills (because rogue) that he's good but not great at.

I do like the idea of him going for the combination of talents that lets him communicate across planes. Then he could kind of participate in the management side of things (maybe he could make another copy of himself for communications :D) while still participating in the spy side.

I would mention that paganism/polytheism is the default approach to worship in my multiverse with monotheism more of a strange deviation. And pagans have relatively a lot less repressed (look at ancient Rome or Greece for examples).

Hello All!

I apologize for my continued absence. As much as I have previously enjoyed (encouraged) the Quick pace of this game, I have found my life these last 8 weeks quite hectic.
Since February's accident, our life has been a Rollercoaster! Changing States twice in 7 months in quite an ordeal. New jobs, New homes, New cities are all very confusing and time consuming.

I do admit my addiction to PbP hasn't exactly helped. I am currently in 12 games. It has dropped from 20 not so long ago. I enjoy all my games, characters, players, and DMs. It is a great hobby. I have enjoyed RPGs since age 9 with the Red, Blue and Purple Books. Although, my neighbor growing up gave us his very well used and Loved PHB, DMG, and MM. I still have them. And I am talking late 70s. Fun times and lots of adventures.

I would like to continue in all my current games. It is only my pace that may slow to twice weekly (I aim for it).

If that is acceptable, Rollo would enjoy continuing on another mission.

Azzim's character sheet is just about done, wow that took a while, Shaman have sooo many options! I ended up going with a mix of support, debuffs and battlefield control. From day to Azzim is very flexible and can tailor his spell, spirit and hex selection as needed.

GM Gift is using the name Morgana Sapphire, but as you have named her as Morgana now, Gift will be Sapphire as she is not using her real name. SO when you say 'GIfT' I will take it she says, Sapphire. If that is ok. She is not disguised but us not using her real name.
