Someone mentioned mythic ranks in a PM to me.

That might be something to consider after the Sigil "module".

But things about mythic ranks:
* I'd like to have everyone get a mythic rank at once so you're all on the same level.
* Mythic requires a "great deed" or several (which some of you already qualify for).
* One aspect of mythic-ness is that the power level is high enough that a character tends to "shine out" across a plane. You notice Ari tends to never stay long in place and this is because equivalent forces would gather against her.
* So being mythic involves being on a "larger stage in the multiverse". Basically you'd have to make large choices about where the dimension war would go, where to place your power and so-forth. You'd watch some planes live and some planes die, you'd be at the controls and not merely operatives. It would be slower and more strategy oriented.

You definitely don't have to go mythic. It may work better to keep things as they are, since being "humble operatives" makes your tasks clearer.
And it wouldn't be for a while regardless, so you can think about it.

For mythic ranks... I'd almost put that off until we're nearing where we want to end. Maybe have something like, we gain a mythic rank, we're about to join the leadership ranks of the Organization when there's an attack on the leadership so we spend a while defending and figuring out what's happening, we lead a counterattack, then we 'retire' the campaign by settling in as part of the Organization leadership?

I'm not sure if this applies, but what you said brought up a valid thought.

Arlo's life is going through a HUGE change, and the actions of a certain dwarf paladin are becoming more noticeable. The events in Syranix and what occurred on the Gondalfos estate may have trickled into Sigil.

My initial thought is shortly after the birth of the twins, two high-ranking members of the Temple of Moradin arrive unannounced one day to bless the two new dwarven boys. But the blessings were just an excuse to visit Arlo and his unconventional family. These clerics reveal they used powerful divination magic to discover Arlo's past and part of his present, to coincide with rumors of Syranix. Humbled by their findings, these two moradite ask Arlo and his associates to occasional assist The Temple of Moradin with certain tasks or quests.

Her father is half-god, saver of worlds, a fighter for good causes and crusader for justice, who is now becoming a myth and legend. Her mother is a Techo-Mage of half-god reputation, working at the center of planes, helping those in need of both Orga and mecha. There two sons soon to join them.

And Gift, crafted from the body her mother once used, holding a soul crafted from her parents. Built initially as a helper she has become a daughter to them both.

She has duty to stay for her brothers but deep down she would like to find her way back to her mother's plane, she has seen her father's but not her mother's.

You would guess so. Of course, this is naturally uncertain - if it's a factor, I'll let you know.


So this is a mini-arc, should end reasonably soon. Then back to Sigil, level up, downtime/vacation and we shall try an arc in Sigil proper.

Imagine Sigil as a bit like Raymond Chandler's LA but multiple magic and technology levels, with no central authorities - each area has a faction or gang controlling it. These often claim connection to the well-known factions but the connection can tenuous. So the adventure will most likely go neighborhood to neighborhood, with everyone encouraged to create a few details of these neighborhoods.

GM Gift is -10 on rolls as you said that's what we would need to do, to give Rollo and advantage, if not then he last 2 rolls where 10 more than added up


Don't worry, I've kept track of the appropriate extras that characters gave to Rollo - I noticed who did or didn't subtract 10, what their bonuses should be, etc.

Scion Talents

Just wanted to say after leveling Gift now looks like this.

As normal as can be

I felt that others have cool stuff covered so I have refocused her as pour Pasion, just as Rollo is a Pour magic user [Give or take]

Yes she has a Drone, that runs our network and basic psy bots.

However, she is starting to hit the higher Psion powers, like Alter reality, which is like a lesser wish. She no longer bothers with weapons,
She can kill with mind Bullets so why bother.

She is still young and has a thing for blue but it will take a LONG time to be anything more than a thing.

Its that kind of

I am going for the will they want they kind of thing.
So no need to rush and who nows she may meet a nice NPC

Outside of that, once she hits 15th level there will be a very big change for her. Wink wink say no more.

That's a bit of a relief, honestly. I'm no good at relationships IRL, much less trying to play how a being half-composed of air would go about courting a robot. lol This whole time I've been uncertain whether I should be taking more of a hand in steering where this is headed, or if that would be a bad idea, so I've mostly just reacted to Gift's prompting. Mostly. Anyway, I'm sure Blue will enjoy the view without needing too much invested in commitment. Besides, it's easier to avoid Arlo's ire when you aren't actively trying to get into his daughter's pants.

This means Terexaltherin is know a Spherecaster! To reflect the fact that this is supposed to be an expansion of his already-extant mental powers, our GM let me trade his feats that gave him his psionic spells for copies of Extra Magic Talent, so he actually has a decent list of sphere abilities for starting out:

Mind Sphere
-Expanded Charm
-Ranged Mind
-Paralyze
-Dispersion

Telekinesis Sphere

Beyond that, he chose the Fount of Inspiration and Charlatanism paths for his hedgewitch paths, giving him a weaker form of investigator Inspiration and some ability to continue his rogue abilities. It also gave him versatile performance, and I was allowed to trade out his Diplomacy ranks for Peform ranks to take advantage of it. I renamed Perform (Oratory) to Perform (Thoughtsong), hearkening back to what he did with the Oomsata.

For his feat he took Advanced Magic Training to count his non-caster levels as half-caster levels, so he has a caster level of 6 and a decent number of spell points.

Looks good Terexa, perfect for the little Dragon, and Telekinesis will help him so much. And to have a Spherecaster as well in the group, that gives us even more Kn cover.


Folks, one heads up.

Because this is Sigil and magic is common, it quite common for there to be guards against invisibility, against teleportation and against scrying in areas that powerful people want to keep secure.

I will try to make it evident but it would be good for everyone to be aware that this is a possibility. Assume that something like a large bank or a high noble council house definitely has such protections and less important will be protected somewhat less (some teleportation protections checks allow a caster check to overcome).

Arlo is 'a bit out of his depth'. The half-chaos realm is fu<king with his sensibilities, i.e. talking during a mission of stealth. Just because Arlo doesn't always follow what's going on, doesn't mean he's 'checked out' of the campaign. The dwarf will contribute when he sees his opportunity.


I'd say even the NPCs are a bit freaked out by the plane.


TheWaskally has told me Arlo is retiring and he will start a new character with the group. Blue will also be retiring and I will be recruiting a new player - I think a cleric would be good for the group. Not simply mere healer but a student of the theological aspects of the multiverse. But I'm open to other suggestions.

Yep. I just haven't ad the time to give the game it's due, so I'm stepping back. Much as I said in the thread, it's nothing against any of y'all. I've enjoyed my time in the game. But I've posted less than once a week in the last two months, and y'all should have better than that. Have fun, and I hope I see y'all again in some other game.

I just read the Game Play posts. I figured a new character for Arlo and completely understand Blue.
I actually didn't get any Discussion posts alerts, so just read those now.
The flow of this game is that us players need to be daily readers, if not posters. Sometimes life doesn't allow for that though and that is ok.
If all my games move like this one (probably 1/2 though) then I would be drowning...lol.

Having had my accident last February, I had the time but now that I am walking and looking for employment, I may slow down a bit.

Probably not but just wanted to let the Table know...lol.
