Guys, I have Covid. After dodging it for 3 years, I finally got it. I don't currently have the energy to game, so feel free to bot me. I'll also take any healing prayers or well wishes.
Yeah damn, I avoided for nearly as long. Fortunately my case is very mild. Felt very exhausted at night for two nights and then just a runny nose for a week. Hopefully you will have similar luck.

Get well soon!

Well bugger, get welll soon

Okay, I know Arlo's absence is very temporary and Rollo's absence is theoretically temporary but Rollo's absence is long term and at this point and it seems like we really need another person. I will plan to post an ad in the next few days unless there's a strong objection. If we wind-up with six players in the end, I can live with that.
Also, I'm thinking party-face plus either some variety of tank or some expert on magic. Let me know if you have ideas here.

Hello everyone!
Apologies for my absence. We are hopeful that now that we are both working things will calm a bit on my end.
I would enjoy rejoining the Team when the next mission, quest, thingy begins!
@Arlo feel better dude!

If you wished to join now, that would be fine too but if that's too soon, that's OK.

Still here :)

So, I read that we are hunting Time Bandits? Time motifs are really fun...and confusing, but always fun...lol.
I need to clean up Rollo's character sheet a bit, probably tomorrow.
I think that I am caught up on Game Play (195 posts! Nice!).
I may retool him a bit, but still be the Magic Specialist that he was built for, although, Terex and A,Zim are doing mighty splendidly!
EDIT
Upon reviewing our Rollo, he seems fine as is! Although, I may update his equipment a bit.
Anyone see any glaring omissions?

Rollo Qantas |

I believe that Rollo is ready for his return to active duty!
He may have had a bit of an awakening of sorts while vacationing on an isolated island.
He also went shopping to spend those dusty paychecks from work!

Azzim bin Farouq |

Oh an occultist, that'll be interesting I think! Welcome :)

Terexaltherin, Pseudodragon |

Welcome! (And welcome back Rollo!) My little dragon should have fun getting to know The Curator. :D

And that is how I have felt (and still do feel) about this game. I feel privileged to be a part of it. I endeavor to justify everyone's involvement, commitment, time. The stories written here are fantastic.
Thank you!

Dorian 'Grey' |

We are sorry for your loss. We hope you and your family are well as can be.

Azzim bin Farouq |

I wish we still had the hive mind, it was rather handy for communication.
I'm really not entirely sure what we should do here, and Azzim would like to bounce some suggestions. But now doesn't really seem to be the time.

Terexaltherin, Pseudodragon |

Yeah, Terex not sticking with the group is causing some issues. :D He can't match the hive mind but he could at least relay things along if he were in the same room. Pretty sure he can't 'speak' with creatures out of his line of sight, though.

Hmmm... could the *book* be the totem...? I'd disregarded it at first because I figured Terex's library wasn't 'close' but depending on how 'close' is defined it could be.

Terexaltherin, Pseudodragon |

My first thought was that the book is the first clue Terex has had about his mysterious Library Link, but then the totem idea occurred to me. :D

Terexaltherin, Pseudodragon |

A note to our enemies:
Don't challenge our party to a Knowledge battle.
You will lose. :D

With Gift gone one thing I've been wondering about is having an alternative to the hive mind. Azzim could cast extended Telepathic Bond for a bit under 5 hours but that's very much not an all day thing.
A more radical alternative might be switching from the Shaman Healing spirit to the Tribe spirit for:
Tribal Bond (Sp): The shaman and her tribe share a transcendent bond. Once per day when she communes with her spirit animal to regain spells, the shaman can select a number of creatures equal to half her shaman level to serve as her honorary tribe. These creatures can constantly communicate with each other, as telepathic bond.
Thoughts?

Terexaltherin, Pseudodragon |

My impression is that Gift will be rejoining us in the not-too-distant future, or Terex would have looked at talents that could let him do something smoother than playing telepathic telephone.

I say go for it

Dorian 'Grey' |

Fortune (Su) (Advanced Class Guide pg. 36): The shaman grants a creature within 30 feet a bit of good luck for 1 round. The target can call upon this good luck once per round, allowing it to reroll any ability check, attack roll, saving throw, or skill check, taking the better result. The target creature must to decide to use this ability before the first roll is made. At 8th and 16th levels, the duration of this hex increases by 1 round. Once a creature has benefited from the fortune hex, it cannot benefit from it again for 24 hours.

Azzim bin Farouq |

Ah thanks for the correction, there's a bunch of similar abilities some of which work for every roll.

Dorian 'Grey' |

Misfortune does actually. I have played both a Witch and a Shaman in completed APs (Strange Aeons and Hell's Rebels, respectively).
They were both really fun!

Gift Fitzroy-Brighthammer |

very cool, thanks GM, and with that, Gift is back, a little confused but back.

Azzim bin Farouq |

Hmm in that case maybe I don't need to change Azzim to a tribe shaman :)

Terexaltherin, Pseudodragon |

All right! Now the question is, will The Collector be rejoining us in a bit as well? We still have one totem left, right?

GM Hansj |

I haven't heard from the player in a bit so I don't expect the player to return. But in my world, things happen for reasons, people don't vanish except for reasons, etc. So The Curator could return as an NPC if the player isn't returning.

GM Hansj |

So, it occurs to me that this might be a cool place to add-in some of the Blades-In-The-Dark rules I talked of oh-so-long-ago.
That system basically tells of a heist as a series of flashbacks.
What I'm thinking here is you folks encounter a series of characters in the gambling hall and it turns out some of you have a history with the characters - romance, betray, revelry, etc. Basically, you have an old conflict not yet resolved. You recognize the character, describe the history and I will describe what position they hold in the scheme.
I may describe certain people also and you can add to them.

Gift Fitzroy-Brighthammer |

I love Blades in the Dark

GM Hansj |

Here a link to a more detailed description of Blades In The Dark.
And again, I'm just aiming for bits and pieces of this approach in this case. Characters with which you have a "history" (and I can come up with them if anyone is struggling but I think this would be something you-all would want to do... ).

Terexaltherin, Pseudodragon |

Hmmm... the trick is thinking of who Terexaltherin would have a history with that would show up at a gambling house in the Pillars of Time... perhaps some desperate history students from a college in Sigil trying to gamble their way into a lost moment of the past they can use to write their thesis? :D
