Hello, all. Back from CES in Vegas. All good here, despite the smoke in the air and the 90,000+ evacuees displaced from their now-destroyed homes.
Am incredibly proud of how Los Angeles is handling all of this. The officials, the fire department, the state, even the Canadian and Mexican volunteer firefighters!

(I missed that somehow... sorry.) Very glad you are ok, we are all hoping the winds calm down. I am glad to hear of the volunteers! Every bit of help is crucial, there are so many sites. I was reading that the imported palm trees tend to explode and send cinders into the air, causing more fires. Jeez.
Hearing from another universe, Ayita wishes she could lend Create Water spells...
Not too bad where we are. Air quality is still bad, but we aren't getting smoked out.

Daylight says "Despite its name, this spell is not the equivalent of daylight for the purposes of creatures that are damaged or destroyed by such light."
Ah, but I am not trying to damage or destroy them. The sentence prior to the above sentence states, "Creatures that take penalties in bright light take them while within the 60-foot radius of this magical light." When you look at the definition of "Bright Light" it states, "In bright light, such as sunlight, creatures and objects can be observed clearly by anyone with average vision or better." I am trying to apply the "Staggered Condition" to the Wraiths not damaging them.

I understand. The Daylight spell's wording is... odd. But OK. The spell's normal light staggers them.
