Does the fact that there are these eggs lying about change whether you attack the door?
not for gnasher

miteke |

Gnasher strains feebly for a few seconds but then goes into a frenzy and, with or without Tarak's help, finds a weak spot and pries the door from its weakened hinges. With a little unneeded help from the other side. Indeed the eggs have a parent. An ornery, massive, hissing and pissed parent.

He backs away the full 40 feet away from it after that.

"Oh, that explains the eggs." Tarak quips as he sees the snake.

Standing with the doors open, knowing he was in the most danger, Gnasher, his brow furrowing, "How giant snake get in building? Doors shut!"

miteke |

Unfortunately, with the hulking Gnasher blocking his shot Urah is not able to connect with the frigid missile through the relatively narrow door. The utterly massive snake (i.e. huge) takes it's ire out on Gnasher. bites him and latches on.

A knowledge nature roll could net you some info. Let me know if there is anything in particular you want. See link at top for the types of info you can request.
Gnasher's attacks all miss, perhaps due to the fact that his limbs are all tangled up, or perhaps because it has VERY thick hide. It's not that he did not hit, it's just that the hits did not draw blood. (lots of natural armor - though touch attacks should work really, really good if you don't roll a 3).
Gnasher does regenerate a little bit though. Happy day!

Quickly reacting to the reptile's attack on Gnasher, Tarak casts a quick spell to try and assist the Gnoll, then seeing that big, bulky body just sitting in front of him, Tarak takes a quick step back and looses as bolt of elemental cold at the thing.

Luckily for Tarak, the snake's mouth is busy right now or that casting would have invited a toothsome embrace. As it is he manages to get both of the spells off and smacks the snake with a jagged ball of ice and snow.
What does he know about this snake? It is a big constrictor with no special immunities or weaknesses, and somewhere around 8HD.

Sorry I was typing quick while waiting for my daughter's school to get out, and she left early. Yeah, Escape Artist. I figured a +8 was at least worth a shot, though I'm sure that thing's CMB is pretty nasty. In a previous game I had a lucky roll on a liberating command spell against a nasty poison spider demon thing, good roll plus the bonus meant that even my heavily armored paladin managed to slip through away (and avoid a nasty crush and poison :))

Urah sneaks in another blob of fire, but Arak and Malgrim both miss, Malgrim rather badly. You might want to think about healing and area affect spells instead of an attack that has a 25% chance of hitting. Though you could get lucky and take it down this turn :)

There’s a joke in there somewhere…

'Gnasher' Red Claw |

Feeling the snake release its grip, Gnasher begins to laugh, as he released the rage and begins to extricates himself from the snake. Covered in blood and gore, Gnasher finds his bardiche, lifting it high he chops at the snake, making sure it's dead. Pointing at the head, "Drag snake back in building. Close doors. no one know tribe is hear."
He then begins to attempt to drag the parts of the snake that is blocking the door, into the domed building. Asking as he works, "Should tribe rest? Gnasher have two potions found, should he drink or use some other magic?"
So we found two potions CLW, gnasher also has two charges on his wand. W should e finish searching this building to use as a hide out. But do we stop for the day or go on?
CDG: 2d10 + 12 + 2 + 12 ⇒ (9, 5) + 12 + 2 + 12 = 40

Malgrim Gryh |

"I could heal you some, but it would make me tired. This does seem like it will be a good place to hide out for the time being." Malgrim says as he looks around at the ruined building and reasons that no gnolls were probably coming to visit the snake. He then looks at Urah and Tarak and says, "How are you to doing for magical resources?"

miteke |

Other than the rather aggressive snake, the building looks unoccupied. It would make a decent hiding place, though you may have left stuff back at your camp and definitely the slave girl.
On the other hand, the snake is just enormous. No way you are going to be able to move it inside and hide it without chopping it into manageable pieces. And then there is the blood everywhere. To make the place a decent hiding place you either have to count on the gnoll's stupidity, or do a really good job cleaning things up before they arrive.

Tarak Stromblessed |

Tarak sighs as the snake finally gives up the ghost, watching impassively as the Gnoll finishes it off.
"I have a few potions, and most of this wand for healing. Other than that my magics are still strong, I had to use a few of me best spells, but I be havin' a trick or two left. I say we can move on yet." He responds to the various questions as helps move snake bits.
I have 4/5 charges on my wand, 2 CLW and 2 CMW potions for healing. Other than that I have quite a few spells left yet, for combat I can still spont cast lightning bolts and shocking grasps for a bit if needed. I need to remember flame blade, cause touch attacks are certainly better for me and it does more damage than my club.

'Gnasher' Red Claw |

Realizing that trying to drag the snake out of the doorway was a lost cause Gnasher picks up his bardiche pointing at the dead snake. "At least tribe eat well."
Hearing that Tarak's magic was still strong, Gnasher gestures towards the odd building that juts out the western wall. "Tribe continue once gnasher healed?"
Removing the two potions he had taken from the guards and drinking them, he then used the wand again. While the healing from the wand was taking effect, Gnasher walked through the yard, jamming his bardiche into each of the eggs.
When he finishes destroying all the eggs he gestured towards the west. "Tribe go?" As they move north west, he realizes the wand had not fully healed him, so he drank two of the potions he brought with him.
Let's save Taraks and Malgrim's recourses. He'll use one of the spells on the wand, leaving one more, and the two potions they found: that's 22 healed, he'll also drink two of the CMW's he purchased so 43 healed, that should put him at 50 hp.

You head toward the next building with still no sign of reinforcements. The place is definitely not being run like a fortress. As you approach the building (about 40' away) you observe that the front gate is barricaded and a few lizard-like heads pop up and a volley of javelins come streaking toward Gnasher. None of them actually make contact, but simply land threateningly close to his feet.

Nodding his head in understanding, "Chief say wait, Gnasher wait. No harm done. If Lizards treacherous Tribe kill lizards"

As you wait, you hear a commotion off to the east, out of sight. Before whatever you are supposed to wait for happens, A mounted gnoll appears from the south. After eying first you, and then the troglodytes, it vanishes back around the south of the citadel.
