They're definitely on their last straw.
Unless we've got rope, in which case we can begin the "tying them up and leaving them under the care of the one guy who doesn't want to fight" process.
(Vulpina's lucky to have the STR to carry her guns, so no rope here.)

![]() |

That was my thought from close to the start, but I've enjoyed trying. Loam wasn't strong enough to tie anyone up when they were helpless. Maybe we could get the Terrors to do it.
Not sure to what extent it can be handwaved, but it also seems too early in PFS tenure for a completely nonviolent solution here. They were few and far between.

![]() |

That's... actually pretty solid. So far the gobs have been extraordinarily well-behaved.
Unless someone pulls a rope that I'm not aware of, that might be the only rope we've got.

![]() |

No rope here. Goblin rope it is. Tie them inside the loghouse? We don't know if there is anyone left inside. They did mention a "cook".

![]() |

We can tie 'em where they're at. There's the one in the back who doesn't want to fight, we can just be like, "Hey, we're gonna tie these guys up so we don't have to murder them, can you untie them later?"
And then we have someone with decent Perception and a ranged option stay at the back of our group for the rest of the journey.

Pai has 50' of rope!

![]() |

Woohoo!!
I gotta say, y’all’s Support/Control Magic has been excellent this encounter. Vulpina’s not built for trips/disarms but with blind and confused enemies, it works!

For the time being, decided to resolve Vulpina's Dodging Panache only when she lays out the condition beforehand - thought it might have been too slow to first post Ironjaw had Combat Reflexes, then wait for confirmation of another Dodging Panache.
If there's any complaints or inquiries, please feel free to speak up!

![]() |

Definitely would have Dodging Panached again... but not sure whether that would have saved me the hit or not :P
Given my honestly-somewhat-huge panache pool, I generally use it (or Gunslinger's Dodge) whenever possible.
No worries, though!

![]() |

So are we potentially instigating an actual fight at this point? Should we try to pepper in a lil NL to maybe-not kill them?
Left to her own devices and some good dice rolls, Vulpina will:
-Execute Ironjaw
-Put the rest down NL if possible

![]() |

Pai can't do NL damage, so she'll just whale on him with electricity.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but isn't Skald's Vigor (which grants Fast Healing 2) only for the Skald mantaining the song? There's a feat called Greater Skald's Vigor which shares the fast healing with allies. I'm also looking for Raging Vitality on Flix but can't find it - is there something I'm missing?
There's also the fact that from what I'm reading up on, unconcious allies are knocked out and cannot hear the raging song, disabling them from benefitting from it. In Vulpina's case she was disabled, so that's fine, but I'm thinking it wouldn't work on any other case.
From what I'm gathering: Vulpina was disabled and can accept the Raging song, bumping her Con by 2, granting her 4 hp and putting her back to normal.

![]() |

The Con bonus especially helps me, since Vulpina has... Not A Lot Of That, honestly!
That'll let me wiggle into a better position, if nothing else.

Bruno Romero |

One of the wonders of PbP is this little order of operations thing I can GM-fiat for cinematic reasons. If we were playing face to face, Vulpina would have lost her shot.
Congrats on defeating Ironjaw! I've seen him obliterate parties, especially when they don't confront him right away on the front porch.

![]() |

Oh, just you wait. She'll be cursing so badly that sailors will be scratching their heads in confusion. ;D

Bruno Romero |

That concludes the end of the last battle - you've come so far! I can be a bit lenient on how you resolve the current matter and those going forward, since as far as I'm concerned you've already met both success conditions.
I've seen moves from taking villagers from Harvest's End to Absalom, recruiting a Blackraven to the PFS, to a player basing a new character on Sverrir's squad! Rest assured you're now doing a victory lap essentially.

![]() |

I no longer trust that after a GM said she was putting together chronicles and then surprised us with a mutiny ;D
Of course, that was brilliant metagaming on her part.

![]() |

Sure thing!
Player Name: VixieMoondew
Character Name: Lady Vulpina
PFS #: 222176-2
Character Class/Level: Mysterious Stranger 1/Picaroon 3
Level Progression: Normal
Day Job: Craft (alchemy): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15

![]() |

Absolutely! Happy to jump on the next boat with any of you, as well. Let me know if y'all have any games you could use a Vulpina on!
And Pai, keep an eye on your mailbox... ;)

![]() |

I wouldn't mind if we could find another game together, a few of mine are winding down.
I marked off 120 GP to steal the following from Salvadore's spellbook:

![]() |

It really is, isn't it? We've got:
-Vulpina: Melee + short-ranged + face-itude
-Flix: Everything???? I'm looking at your character sheet and it just says "I can do everything"
-Loam: Ranged + spells!
-Pai: All that cool aerokineticist stuff! I have no idea how to categorize that because "long-range blaster" doesn't even begin to cover it.
-Salvadore: All that good wiz biz!
The only thing we're "missing" is a more dedicated melee PC, but with me and Flix we generally have that decently covered, I think?

![]() |

The vast majority of my characters are ranged/spellcasters. I have a 3L Core fighter, a 3L Dwarven Warpriest, a 7L CryoKineticist that uses Kinetic Blade when needed, and a 7L Elven Warpriest that is primarily ranged but uses his Elven Curved Blade when he's forced to.
LOL...Just noticed I updated my CryoKineticist on HeroLab but not yet on here.

![]() |

Pai: All that cool aerokineticist stuff! I have no idea how to categorize that because "long-range blaster" doesn't even begin to cover it.
To be fair, at low levels a kineticist's versatility is limited. I'm really looking forward to level 6 so Pai can just be flying constantly.
Anyhoo, playing with this team was great fun and I'd be happy to do so again. There's another PC that Pai has teamed up with (an oracle) who she'd like to work with again, too. That wouldn't help us with melee, though.

Bruno Romero |

Here you will find your Chronicle sheets! If there's any errors, please PM me and I'll get them fixed up.
Thank you once again for playing - this has been my fourth time GMing through PbP, and it's been a blast! I wish I had the time to run another adventure with you guys - but if there's room for another PC, I could always bring in one of my own!

![]() |

Only 4500 more gp until I can make Vulpina's gun shoot every turn :')
- but if there's room for another PC, I could always bring in one of my own!
Hey, I'm happy to add one more! Especially if they bring a lil' beef and/or steel to the group.
But, honestly, I'm happy no matter what sort of folk we get :P

Bruno Romero |

I do have one in mind - Fifi, a Paladin of Sarenrae (level 4) that's really upbeat, cheerful and kind.
On the subject of guns, wouldn't you be able to accomplish that with the Rapid Reload feat (reduced to a move action), or Paper Cartridges (reduced to a move action, coupled with the feat reduces it further to a free action).
