With regards to the strategy for the fight, a way to handle it is to begin with an Alchemist fire opening and then go melee for melee characters and range/spell for the rest. However alchemist bombs are martial weapons :( so not a lot of us can use them. And then there is the short distance of the bombs :(
Natsume Ren
What do I need to roll for that? Usually it'd be crafting, but as much as swordplay is an art, that seems unlikely to be useful in this situation :P
Natsume Ren
Well, given I'm still missing my magic flail, that'll be one lower than it could be. But still high!
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
Oh shoot! Nice!

Pari makes great progress... but is a bit afraid of Natsume's crazy energy.
"Why did you cut all my mom's bushes up?!"
She does hand 4 silver coins over...
Farol
Reviewing the thrown weapons for that fight specifically. My dwarf have javelins which are piericing dmg like most ;)
For non-piercing damage there are:
Light hammer 20ft 1d6 B
Hatchet 1d8 S but 10 ft :(
Javelins are 30ft 1d6 P
For that fight we could use Alchemist Fire for the front lines (martial weapon which can be handled by Natsume and Sitril) it also has 20 ft as most thrown but if hit cause burning and repeating fire dmg of 1 ;) If they have a vulnerability that could add up given our lucky and GM's unlucky rolls ;)
But the bombs are more expensive: 3 gp each, if we could find Dragh body he has one in his bandoliere. Unless bushes laid his body next to the wolf ones and sucked him dry in the center ;)

Picking images on Paizo still crashes for me, so if I hit 10 posts I will play without an avatar :( Sitril sad!
I am quite sure you can change you Avatar after 10 posts, just not your name.
Cannot test it truly since it crashed... but it crashed after allowing me to change the avatar. This you change via the Alias page, not the list of character page.If that does not work for some reason, then you just create an Alias and put the avatar you want there (once it works again).
Finally, if nothing works, then just play a--

does belt pouches allow to pull out things in 1 action? I don't feel like wearing bandoliere and hope to be able to pull healing potions from belt pouch.
Yes, it is an Interact to get something out of a belt pouch (not like a backpack).
The same as for most things in a bandolier. It is just that bandoliers let you use some things for "free" (like Healing Kits, though in effect it is a bit useless now, since you can "freely" use your kit for the 10 minute Treat Wound! Wow... only 10 minutes, not 10 minutes + 1 Action).
Smurfs cannot wear belt pouches!
GM Wayfinder
do I create my 2nd lvl PC with 15 gp? I am in need of 2 gp to buy one healing potion or 1gp to get elixir of life ;) Looking with my big dwarven eyes on the GM here.
Dwarf eyes get you double, so start with 30 gp of equipment instead of 15.
Smurf eyes get...?! Who knows!

NEWS FLASH
BLAME THE PARIS PAIZO ORGANIZED PLAY VENTURE OFFICERS!
Last night I DM-ed a game and around the second hour of play, at a break, I decided to give all "their extra Hero Point"... and was told by both VO's playing at the table that the rule is giving out 1 Hero Point, not 1 to everyone!
So, now I know why it was so easy for you before, you had extra Hero Points!
Re-reading the CRB it does say you’ll hand out about 1 Hero Point during each hour of play after the first (for example, 3 extra points in a 4-hour session).
And not per person.
Just below, after talking about giving out more for more over-the-top games etc., they add: Try to ensure each PC has opportunities to earn Hero Points, and avoid granting all of the Hero Points to a single character., which does go along with not giving out 1 per person.
Thus, you will all start with 1 Hero Point each.
And I will give out 1(but only 1, not 1 to each) now and then, accordingly.
Finally, if any of you have a PF2 Glyph (or more) or if you get your Glyph while playing this module, I will allow you to give out your Hero Point(s) to an other player(s) at the table.
Since slotting boon is past, I will allow you to give it out during a rest period between adventuring moments.
Smurfs are not allowed Glyphs.

A little smurf asks Sitril what his bonus in Nature is (trained or untrained)?
Farol
Waiting for the decision from the group to go or not to. I updated the bonuses in the slide and changed the name from Dragh -> Sitril. I am sticking with the same image until I pick a new Smurfatar.
With regards to exploration action, I would stick to scouting with darkvision and high perception.
I also reviewed my gear and profile, I found some small glitches (AC to high by 1 due to lower dex with my armor, HP calculated a bit too optimistically etc.). Profile is updated.
GM Wayfinder
Okay, thanks!
I have to remember the +1 to init to all from scouting.
Whenever you want, can you all send me whatever info you want me to have re. your characters, once you’ve left for the adventure.
Just to make sure I have the latest version.

1 person marked this as a favorite.
She has her first, non-tower shield, yes. But she's two-handing for the sake of "hit hard and fast and take out that first bush ASAP."
Farol
Talking a bit tactics now. When I look at the map (assuming that we will get that far) the road comes from the East.
Which direction should I come from? South? North? Or some combination of West? There is some terrain covered on the West of the map so I am not sure how close by it I can and should walk by? (I heard that it is the place where the real fight will happen :P)
Natsume Ren
Well, if I'm not mistaken...
The forest doesn't slow down the plants, so we're probably best-off using the path in case we need to retreat. The forest is good for cover, but we're trading off visibility and movement speed for it, so it's kind of a balance game of "do we want to use it?"
I'd say that our ranged folk could step behind a tree for cover, though, but ideally one that's not far off the path.
Natsume Ren
We all go with the path until we get within range, then ranged folk take a quick dip behind cover when we're ready to initiate the fighting, probably.
Natsume Ren
Yeah-- last time, we didn't know they were a threat until we got close. This time we're missing that particular disadvantage.
Natsume Ren
That's 10 rounds, which should be plenty... but prohibitively short to have pre-applied before combat.
Is everyone cool with me putting that on my sword?
Farol
I would say you can line up your minis on the map.
On the first 4 squares of the path, unless you have another tactic)
I've put us into order. Feel free to reshuffle it. I put Natsume next to Tamerius so that he can cast a magic weapon. I put Giggett next to Tamerius and Sitril upfront as we are going without shields here (beside Giggett).
@GM can you position the line in such a way that would limit where we can position?
GM Wayfinder
Hi guys!
Wanted to check the CRB before answering, and things are different than PF1 (no more choose one corner, and draw line to worst/best corner etc.).
Draw a line from the center of your space to the center of the target’s space.
or
When measuring cover against an area effect, draw the line from the effect’s point of origin to the center of the creature’s space.
Farol
In my opinion, we should start combat. We see them, so they can certainly see us, and PF2 is really bad at handling surprise rounds...
I am fine with us starting a fight right now.
@Giggett - feel free to reposition yourself to have immediate sight on enemies. I will neither rush at them right away nor have long enough range. So I will wait for them to come and then range.
GM Wayfinder
Gigget cannot see Black from where she is now.
Nor aim at Green.
But they will probably move if people start shooting.
GM Wayfinder
Move to where you want to be, and then act or attack or whatever.
Then we shall see what happens.
