I’ll have to look over what equipment I managed to keep and what’s in the caravan, but so far that at least includes a shield, armor, and a longsword.
I’d like to get a katana or a bastard sword so that I can 1H until my shield breaks, then 2H.
Unfortunately Aggressive Block is a poor fit for these plants! We’re not gonna be effective against everything we go up against, but boy are these things good at putting thorns in our sides. Literally, even.
You lost your flail, dagger, and broken tower shield. That is "all". With the rune on the shield.
I doubt there would be a Katana in town.
And you need special training for it, right?
It’s a Martial weapon, but it IS uncommon. iirc it’s the Kukri that you’re thinking of? But I don’t recall for sure.

For Natsume: it will be a DC18 check to see if there is a Katana in the caravan.

As I said, I take 2 Scrolls of Soothe. That should be good to me, but I may take more of them if people don't use the gold.

Natsume will use her old shield, and take the kukri instead of her dagger?

Natsume will also carry her longsword on her hip. She's got backups for her backups!
If I'm not mistaken, that actually still leaves her with enough room to carry that heavy crossbow as well, so she'll keep that for ranged.

2 weeks is a bit quick to forget about the game and a fresh new PC to include in the party is a good way to put everyone back on feet for what's next.

What if we go the other direction? They seem pretty solid at getting through our defenses, so what if we hit 'em as hard as possible as fast as possible? 2H the Bastard sword, flanking, take advantage of that Sneak Attack damage, even? Once we got one dropped, we could even retreat, lick our wounds (so the plant doesn't lick 'em instead)...
Can we make more Recall Knowledge checks with Tamerius? We have now some time to think about these creatures and maybe recall new things?

The issue is that we can't control luck. So if our attacks don't hit, we're dead again.
To do that, we should ideally be able to separate them, so we could focus one while the other is occupied elsewhere.

Setting up an initial surprise attack and a retreat strategy is definitely a good idea, though. The problem is, if we're right about the Slashing damage thing, there are... approximately 1, maybe 2 ranged weapons that deal Slashing damage. The Hatchet and the Starknife. Pretty short range on both.
I've prepared magic weapon, I can prepare it twice
Tell me if you want to heal up fast to go back out a.s.a.p. and hope the bushes did not heal up - or just wait a bit?

Wait a bit. The bushes have Dragh's corpse to heal up. The second bush was nearly full hp at the end of the fight thanks to it.

In fact, I prefer this strategy.
Coming to the clearing far away from the wolf corpse, shoot one round at the bushes, quickly retreat in the forest. Come from another side of the clearing, rince, repeat.It'll take ages, but we can easily stay out of reach. And these creatures being stupid, I don't think they'll understand how to handle that.

Workin' and being sleepy all at the same time, so nothing unusual on my end. Managed to burn through the whole Uncharted trilogy while we were on break, even!
If Giggett or any one wants to try some research and finds a way of doing so, tell me.

The man behind the Dwarf has read the posts and appreciates the waiting. It is my last day in Mexico and tomorrow I will begin the journey back home. I will be able to post on Tuesday, probably I will do something small on Monday but it will be chaotic.

Hoping you have been well these past weeks. And that you will soon be back in the flow.
Tell me how many days after you believe/want us to be now?
I'd say the minimum is:
• the day you got back
• one day to magically/medically heal up
• two days to shop, ask around, go see how the Temple is moving along
• the morning we will start
So, for me, I'd say this is the morning of the 4th day after your return.
But tell me if you wanted a bit more time (if you want a week or so, and do some earn income with Pari, the temple, whatever).
Also, tell me if you have last things to do or people to see/question before "this morning".
Fine by me.
