I am getting flashbacks from Rasputin Must Die right now. How many times do we have to kill this guy? ;)

Also because I forgot before but it is relevant now. Hunter Blessing will give everyone a +2 bonus to hit and damage vs. Vahlo as he is an Undead. Also ignore the Electrical damage to your characters due to Resist Energy 30 being up.

The ritual has completed with impressive effect. Not as devastating as if he had actually completed it and used it to assist the Whispering Tyrant however.

Were the eagles included in that? If Rokgurn negates the damage with his DR, he will not be prone.


@Grandmaster TOZ - Only the characters and the Gull were protected so even Whisper will be getting shocked. Back in the cage for him! :)

Also, there is nothing written about PCs touching the helm, so Kasimir got off lucky. Probably because they didn't expect anyone to be stupid enough to run the football away from the goal. :P

We’re here because of that football, seems like a natural move.

Kasimir is a year zero Pathfinder, when it was much more ‘get in, get the dingus, get out’.

One nice thing about PbP is I was able to roll X/Y coordinates to randomly distribute you all around the map. So once we finished the ritual minigame I already had everyone in their proper places.

Rokgurn, do you want to roll init for the eagles or have me? Apologies for not thinking about it before.

They are separate creatures at this point, so they would each have their own initiative. Being used as mounts in the last fight, they just went with the riders. Most summons don't happen before initiative, so I wasn't thinking about it.

Edit - It really does not matter too much one way or the other. They are only useful as mounts really. :)

I am feeling a whole lot better with a scroll of Resurrection in Kasimir's back pocket. If the invisible Daemon is right next to Hamish it could be a Coup de gras moment. ;)

@Kasimir - You will have to roll a to hit for the Heal spell. It is treated as Harm vs Undead and I think you get to add the +2 to hit and damage from the Hunter's Blessing.

Kasimir, this turn would be in place of the summoning. Could you also include two Will saves as well, pending the spirits attacks? This is in addition to the aura Will save.

Heal is not a damage roll, so it will not get the +2.

Kasimir should have been prone unless I missed something, so he could only step away. You would all notice the spirit using Step Up and Strike, so everything remains the same except positioning.


It is so dumb that incorporeal Undead take half damage from positive energy. They should be at least be taking full damage at a minimum.

I wonder if we can use other means of encouraging the spirit to depart considering that it was a Pathfinder before. Whisper is coming out of his box to discuss this on my next turn.

@Kasimir - Would your Cleric consider using Anointing Oil? I am just wondering if it would be acceptable for my Cleric of Dispater or am I just going to be getting dirty looks from the GM.

Would my ring of feather falling helped with the blast? You’re right, I forgot completely about being prone.

What kind of damage does this thing do? I have defenses against certain things, like cold.
Will saves coming up.

Damage should be 130, save for 65, and half of that if you’re incorporeal, which I wasn’t thinking about, to be honest.

@Mage - I didn’t know anointing oil existed. I would buy the crap out of that, and then ask each GM how they felt. You don’t have to use it just because you own it.

@TOZ - will saves coming up.

I believe you only need the one, the Step Up attack was a nat 1.


@Kasimir - Not that I want to encourage you to be selfish in the future but would not casting Death Ward on yourself be a good move going forward? Would it not be preventing all this bad touching that is going on?

I’m not usually in the front, and spells are a limited resource. The question isn’t death ward or not, the question is death ward or greater magic weapon.

My Unlife gem will block the worst of it.

Missed this earlier.

Hamish has a wayfinder.

Though he uses it more for the compass than a symbol. =)
The Gull will also typically have the Pathfinder symbol on one of it sails or flags, if it matters.

Dang, I really wanted to use my wand of Tree Shape (never get the chance to use that!).

But pretty sure True Seeing will see right through it 8(

@Hamish - Kasimir has really not been the target so far so it is good that he is getting a bit of attention now. Not to mention that he had the temerity to handle the crown so readily so some payback is in order. :)

@Kasimir - Unlife Gem is good. My 11th level Druid has one as well. I personally always value survival over efficiency. So most of my characters carry around a Death Ward scroll in a spring loaded wrist sheath. You never know.

What is an unlife gem? I wasn't able to find it on my brief Google search before passing out last night.

Also, should have mentioned but the aura does not prevent actions on a failed save.

It was from one of the Bonekeep missions; it sucks up negative levels should you take any. Limited number of charges.
