Dungeon Master S |
Welcome to my Play-by-Post!
Here's the ctrl+P for all my games:
1. I've been running games since the late 1980s, I've seen a lot of editions. I started playing PFS with Slot 1 Season 0 at Gen Con. I'm solid with the PFRPG rules, but everyone makes mistakes. I'll try to be as fair as possible.
2. I'm a Venture-Lieutenant for Southern NH. If you're ever in the area, or you need help finding games/conventions there. PM me.
3. I post with a high rate of frequency. That being said, if you guys can post 2-3 times per day, awesome. If it's only 1/day I understand. No worries. Real Life Comes First (tm).
4. Feel free to preemptively roll Perception, Disable Device, etc. It makes the game run more efficiently. I ask only that you make sure minis are placed in their actual position in case your choices have consequences (good or bad.)
5. Let's get started:
Player Name:
PC Name:
PFS#:
Slow Track or Normal:
Faction:
Day Job: Feel free to roll now.
Perception and vision/senses:
Initiative:
Notes: Anything I should know; passive abilities, boons that are way out there, etc. If you have abilities that are immediate actions that interrupt an enemy, I'll be as fair as possible, but you can help me out by telling me under what conditions you typically use it.
----------------------------------------------
Some expectations in my games:
That's about it! Looking forward to the game!
Gbagbe |
Hello all - I've got a couple of other options of characters I could play, but it seems like we're light on arcane casters, so I may end up with Gbagbe after all. He is an amnesiac psychic, and often can't even remember his own name - it can make for some entertaining RP, but let me know if it gets to be too over the top at all. He also has the psychedelia discipline, and is a grippli, so he tends to lick the psychoactive compounds off his skin to induce hallucinations - which means he has a bit of a druggy feel to him in play - if this makes anyone uncomfortable, I can dial it back.
In short, he's a hippy dippy trippy Grippli. He's not the most devastatingly effective character, but he's reasonably good with his illusions and I find him entertaining. He also casts a lot of Toppling Magic Missiles, which can be helpful in a fight when they work. I'll post the specific character info our esteemed DM has asked for once I'm sure I'll be playing Gbagbe.

I just realized that I (along with almost everyone else) forgot about filling this out. As such....
Player Name: Garon N. aka Blue Moose
PC Name: Marquis Alexandre D'Alycone
PFS#: 153161-4
Slow Track or Normal: Normal
Faction: Sovereign Court
Day Job: Instead of Day Job, I'm using the downtime as part of the Rising Star Boon, to further my connections in Taldor. As such, Know(Nobility),DC 18: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Perception and vision/senses: +10 w/ Low-light Vision
Initiative: +5
Notes: Okay, I'll post Parry and Reposte spoilers when I'm in a position to use them. I also have the deed Social Panache, with allows me to use Panache for Bluff, Diplomacy, Intimidate, and Sense Motive to gain a 1d6 to the roll, like Derring-Do. If, by any slim chance, a verbal duel is involved, tell me, I have bonuses for that too.
In addition, I have the Birthright Betrayed chronicle on Alexandre, which is where the previously mentioned Rising Star Boon is from, as well as the option to borrow a magic weapon after hearing the briefing.
Gbagbe |
A fine point, Alexandre! Glad you pointed out our lack of compliance with DM S's request.
Player Name: Khelreddin
PC Name: Gbagbe
PFS#: 80015-12
Slow Track or Normal: Normal
Faction: Grand Lodge
Day Job: Craft (pharmaceuticals): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 22
Perception and vision/senses: +9, Darkvision
Initiative: +2
Notes: Nothing that will especially affect the flow of play, in terms of immediate actions or the like. Can recall spells he forget he ever knew as part of his Spell Recollection ability, but only gets used occasionally.
Bulgulp |
Player Name: Anthony
PC Name: Bulgulp
PFS#: 128404-12
Slow Track or Normal: Normal
Faction: Liberty's Edge
Day Job: Feel free to roll now. Craft Traps: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Perception and vision/senses: +11 (+12 vs Traps) | Trap Spotter 10ft | Darkvision
Initiative: +13
Notes: Gripli - Have a climb speed of 20ft, normal move speed of 30ft
For spells on the mesmerist list, they are psychic spell so no verbal or somatic components.
I have both split trick and reflexive trick. Split trick allows me to implant a trick in 2 targets then I can trigger 1. Reflexive allows me to wait till a triggering situation then trigger a trick on myself as if it was already implanted.
Bulgulp |
Also if the GM allows I would like to also retroactively implant the trick Vanashing Arrow in both Gbagbe and Alexandre using split trick.
Dungeon Master S |
I'm AWOL today. I'm at a conference and my posting abilities are not what I'd like them to be.
Gbagbe |
Also if the GM allows I would like to also retroactively implant the trick Vanashing Arrow in both Gbagbe and Alexandre using split trick.
That’s a cool ability, Bulgulp, thanks for using it on Gbagbe!
Bulgulp |
@Gbagbe No Worries it makes sense both RP wise as you 2 are the only ones he would have gotten close enough to, to implant the trick and it works tactically as well :)

I am leaving on a vacation with my family on Sunday, March 24th until Sunday, March 31st. During this time, I'll have limited access to the site. I will try to keep up on my games, but if you feel the need to bot my characters during this time, feel free.
Gbagbe |
On a sort of similar note, I’m leaving tomorrow for an extended work trip until mid-April. I should generally be able to keep up with games, but my schedule will be a bit erratic and I’ll be in a very different time zone. And tomorrow I’ll be on planes for many hours and posting will be very limited.
Enjoy your vacation, Alexandre!
Dungeon Master S |
Hey everyone. I'll be on international travel April 20-27. I'm guessing that my activity will be one post every 48 hours for that week. It's not outside the realm of possibility that I'm totally offline.
By all means feel free to banter and roleplay while I'm gone!
I was hoping to have this wrapped up before leaving, so I apologize for the slowdown mid table.
Dungeon Master S |
Hey Everyone,
So I leave in 4 days. I won't short change you any adventuring, I promise. I will say, however, that it's possible with some aggressive posts, to finish this before I go. If not, no worries. I'll try to post over vacation, but if we finish then I won't be able to do chronicles until my return. :-)
Gbagbe |
I’m already traveling, so am unlikely to keep up with aggressive posting - but I’ll do my best not to slow us down! Enjoy your trip!
Bulgulp |
Sorry all, I'm not trying to take over the scenario I'm just trying to push to see if we can finish before the GM leaves, plus there is a scenario at my local PFS group coming up next week that I would prefer to play this character so would be good it's available. If it's not then it's ok too, it's just a preference.
Dungeon Master S |
I certainly don't want to clip the corners off of anyone's fun! If it happens, it happens.
Dungeon Master S |
Just a reminder that I'm essentially AFK for the next week. I'll be posting today, but that's my last regular post.
Dungeon Master S |
Im so sorry everyone. Service here was abysmal. Will be home in 48 hours. :-(
Dungeon Master S |
We're JUUUUST Close enough that it's time for BOONS!
DM: 1d20 ⇒ 19 1d4 ⇒ 3

Season Explorer - Gain benefits based on how many games from Season 6 and 7 that you’ve earned credit for.

Turns out I had a moment. Please accept my apologies for some sloppy DMing. Vacation and the whirlwind afterwards got to me. While I posted the denouement, there's nothing stopping you from role-playing the scene out. For those who need these characters, I didn't want to delay.
Unfortunately, the secondary success was just a bit out of reach. Still it was a great table with some really cool characters.
You can grab your chronicles HERE. If there's a mistake, or you prefer to have me include more information (I trust you on Day Jobs), I'm more than happy to update.
I'll close the thread only after people have role-played their endings and confirmed their chronicles.
Thank you again, you're all more than welcome at any of my tables!

1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Day Job, Craft (pharmaceuticals): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (13) + 13 = 26
Thanks for running this for us, Chris! And nice playing with you all!
Bulgulp |
Cheers! thanks for running, was a fun scenario, I'm looking forward to running this tomorrow for my local group. :)
