How is an improving template, like half-celestial, handled? It’s anywhere from +1 to +3 depending on hit die of the creature it’s applied to. At the starting level it’d be +2, does that mean it’s allowed?
Could two +1 templates be taken instead of one +2?
Apologies If these have already been covered. I didn’t see anything, but I also didn’t read the entire thread.
It is allowed you just won't be able to level up when it becomes a +3 CR.
I suppose you could take two +1 templates instead of a +2 template.

So just spitballing here for GM consideration: my build will likely be one of the following:
Mummy lord dhampir cruomancer 7// Juju(the old one) oracle 7 focusing on just pure animate dead potential. Or maybe if mummy lord is unavailable something like one of the dread undead for some sort of spawn creating ability
Or
Half succubus kitsune crossblooded sorcerer(undead/serpentine)// thassalian specialist wizard for all arcane mind control
Or
Half invidiak(shadow demon) possession sorcerer//fighter 7 with demonic/improved possession to magic jar my enemiesOr
For summoning: (good) half celestial human celestial commander summoner//celestial bloodline sorcerer
(Evil) half succubus drow master summoner// abyssal bloodline sorcererBasically something that lets me choose different types of creatures to use every battle so I probably won’t be bored
Alternatively something like wizard/witch, wizard/ arcanist or sorcerer/ oracle could also be fun just for the sheer number of spells
From what I can tell all those are viable options.

Oh. Oh no.
Welp, one Scion Kineticist coming right up! But it does have another question come up, too.
The Striker class has the Favored Weapon Striker Art. This lets me treat a light melee weapon or 1-handed ranged weapon (like the Kinetic Blade/Blast) as an unarmed strike for the Striker's class features... and how much damage it deals.
If I want to play a Kineticist/Striker and pick up Favoured Weapon: Kinetic Blast, would this permanently restrict the Kinetic Blast's damage to unarmed strike damage? Or would I be allowed to use the Kinetic Blast damage, as it's higher?
Please note that if the Kinetic Blade's damage is allowed, this combination can be quite strong. Which, I think, is half the point of a game like this and the flavour? But, I feel like it's best to be up-front and honest about that fat.

Hmmm since if I choose half demon i wont be able to level beyond 11 could I qualify for demonic possession feat by being human and taking planar heritage(half demon/nabasu)? Just seeing if I can make the possession build work.

Given that kinetic blast does not have damage dice that scale beyond what is listed I would tend to think you would just always use the regular blast damage dice but that is just me.
... I mean, Unarmed Strike maxes out at 2d10 if I have 20 talents, while Kinetic Blast at this level is already 4d6, and every 2 levels will only make it bigger? Not to mention, as I'm going Scion, I can spend an SP to make it deal 7d6 damage? Or I could have a Composite Blast to make it 8d6?

Seems like a really interesting game, and I’m working on ideas, but I don’t know the anime. Anybody want to give me a rundown?
Really doesn’t seem you need to know much about the anime because the players are replacing the main character and all of his supporting cast. But basically the gist is this:
There’s this really popular RPG game that’s in augmented reality developed in the far future. The world has basically become a dystopian nightmare due to corporations and the game is basically escapism fun.(the game itself is basically based on dnd 3.5 iirc what the creator said). So the game in ending its service after 12 years and so the main character logged in one last time to see if his fellow guidmates will meet him in game. Only one does(the rest moved on or quit) but he left early so the main character has to endure the end of service alone. But suddenly he is transported to another world with mechanics similar to the game with his in game avatar along with the guild npcs they developed. So now he must live out his life in the new world.
For this campaign instead of the MC I assume the players would awaken in a new world and then see what that’s like. I should note the anime is basically just isekai power fantasy which is why we get gestalt and templates.
Myriana
That sums it up fairly well. Most of the characters in the show are either natives of the world he ended up in or the NPCs that populate the tomb and are fanatically loyal to him.
In our case there are NPCs but there are more of us that came across than in the show.
To keep things relatively spoiler free it does turn out that Ainz is not the first to appear in the world of but there is a sizable time difference, and he seems to be the only one in the present. Whether we see that in this is up in the air.
A thing to note, whether we are all doing so or not, the race that the MC is begins to overwrite certain aspects of himself, he still retains all he knew from earth, but being a Lich in the show he becomes more and more like one, albeit with a semi-benevolent outlook compared to a normal undead. Racial aspects, like immunity to mental affects are a thing in the show and affect the mind (i.e. in Ainz's case anytime he becomes emotionally worked up his race kicks in and flattens his emotions out again).

I was thinking of making a Jotun Paragon 6/ Blacksmith 6 Jotun with the Protean Attractor (keketar) +3cr template
Obviously with the class choice I'm going for the giant blacksmith trope, however with the Protean Attractor template I'm hoping to build a character that enjoys a little chaos and teams up with his tag along to cause it. I know everything there is 3pp so if I need to change anything I will. I know blacksmith is spheres and you were reluctant earlier to use the system
Anyways here's some dice rolls in the meantime so I can start on crunch while I think up some more backstory info

While usually I don't like isekai...I've watched a bunch of Overlord clips. The world seems interesting, and the idea of replacing the overpowered main character interests me. I also really enjoyed the Overlord arc with the dwarf kingdom and his efforts to revive rune crafting.
Is there still a spot here? Because if so, I'd gladly throw a "dwarves" character into the ring. It sounds like a unique RPing opportunity.

Everyone gets to roll 5d6 keeping the top 4!
No Tax Feats.
2 traits.
7th level characters. Roll for all hit points but 1st level which is max.
Your character can do one of the 5 options below:
7th level Gestalt character with one template CR 2 or below.
7th level character with two templates both CR 2 or below.
Monstrous race with 4 HD, and 3rd level gestalt character.
Monstrous race with 2 HD, and 5th level gestalt character.
Or a mixup of the options above.

Class 2 - Adamantine Scientist Technician
(Representing Runes)
The idea here being a player who decided, for RP purposes and bragging rights, to master Runecrafting instead of the (admittedly better) Tier Magic System. Gaming time was spent hunting down lost runes, with lots of downtime making items.
Will make a brute style build. Electricity armor (ie: enchanted) with spiked gauntlet as the weapon. Should be fun!

Grumbaki here. Rough build done.
No “magic” as per the character theme. Rather he uses rune crafting to boost his gear instead. He is a beast, no doubt about it. Very dangerous to anyone he can get his hands on, but he lacks any speed (movement 20ft) and he has no ranged options. While the latter might change, he is very much specialized into what he does.

I’ll write up a proper background. Not 30 paragraphs! But I’ll get something in. No perks currently in build.
Thorin Spellsplitter
Background (reached all 30)
What does a name matter to a person who is faceless? That question vexed him for as long as he could remember. From a young age, he felt like a shadow, moving through an uncaring world. He had interests, of course. But no true outlet for them. What he had wanted, more than anything, was to build. To use his hands. As a child it was what called to him, and as he grew older it is what brought him joy. But his parents were salarymen, barely making ends meet. The idea of having limited resources going to anything that was not putting food on the table was anathema to them.
A core memory from his childhood was that every year he would have his birthday, and he would ask for something. Something to build with. Be it blocks, a construction set, anything that he could display a modicum of creativity. And every year was the same. His parents would invest in his education and tell him that it was their gift to him. And in truth, it was a gift, for they could barely afford it. He knew this, and hated himself for the emptiness that he felt.
As he grew older, he studied, and he worked hard. What limited funds that they had went into his education, and he believed that if he kept his head down and worked hard at it, that of course he would get somewhere. That he would rise above what his parents accomplished through sheer determination. He went to university. He applied for dozens of jobs. And he eventually was hired at a major corporation. He thought that his life could finally begin.
What followed was a cruel reality check. It was a 996 work culture. 9am to 9pm, six days a week. And it was in a job that he knew was replaceable, with work that he increasingly saw as meaningless. But each day he was told how fortunate he was. By his supervisor. His coworkers. His parents. It was soul crushing in every way. He made enough to be "a success" but he never found meaning. And his friends? They would drink after work, often with their bosses. And the talk was always the same. More and more, he found himself dreading waking up.
Each day stretched into another. He would wake up and go to work. He would file papers. Write emails. Listen at meetings. Do the same thing as everyone else. And when the day was "over"? He would go out eating and drinking with his colleagues and boss, where they would all praise the company and their leadership. He would then come home, exhausted, having not had time to work out, relax, or meet anyone who wasn't in his company.
The company? It owned him. It owned his life. It owned his future. And it wanted to own his soul. The worst part of it was that he had nobody that he could talk to. Nobody to confine in. He once brought this up to his parents and was given a stern lecture about how ungrateful he was. What he learned was that he truly was alone.
The only relief from this was the one day off. A day he would spend in Ygddrasil. There, he found that he could be the person that he wanted to be. He could at least pretend to find meaning. That he could, in his mind, choose his own name. Do whatever he wanted. And talk to people about something that was not just...work.
After a few attempts, he finally settled on a race and a name. A dwarf named Thorin. He was drawn to the archetype of working hard and achieving something from it. Of determination leading to creating something that would last. Of working with his hands, of building! Other players used online builds to be strong, to chase the meta. He refused. Because he was tired of chasing the golden ring. What he wanted, more than anything else, was to be the person that he wanted to be, and to do what he wanted to do. Ygddrasil gave that to him.
It started off small. He would spend a few hours playing the game, and in doing so he was able to escape the life that he hated so much. This turned into more time, as he started talking with other players. Of spending time with people in a way where he was able to join a group when he wanted, and to leave when he wanted. It was liberating in a way that he had never experienced before.
This began to eat into his mental space. When commuting to work he would read about Ygddrasil. When at work he would daydream about logging into the game. At meetings he would think about his character and what he wanted to do. And after work, when he was forced to socialize with people he did not like? He would just go through the motions. He worried about being fired, until he realized that nobody cared. He was a cog. As unimportant as any other. So long as his work got done, that was enough. There was no true mobility, unless he played politics. The quality of his work mattered not.
And this led him back to the game. He began to "role-play." Of truly thinking about his character as a person. He created an elaborate backstory, including parents, clan, hold and home. He devoured every shred of lore he could find while creating an alternate persona. A persona of someone who worked hard and achieved lasting renown.
Where once he had worked hard in his studies and at work, he began working hard at the game. Every chance that he got he would log in, and he would work at it. He decided that as a dwarf he would master crafting. In time, he became almost like an NPC. The idea of questing didn't matter to him. Of being a hero. Of slaying dragons or joining raids. No, he decided that if he was to be a dwarf, then he had to first *be* one. And as such, he had to completely master the art of crafting.
Hour after hour he would log in, just to gather resources and to smith. In time, he began to make a profit off of this, selling wares to other players and NPCs alike. People laughed at him for wasting his time. But he did not care if they laughed. People had laughed at him his entire life, and he did not care. He was making something that others saw no value in. And it made him value it even more.
This, ironically, led to him adventuring. Because as a crafter at the highest levels, he needed rare resources. Resources that cost too much to buy from others. With a single minded determination, he decided that what he had to do was level up enough to survive in the areas where he could gather such resources.
To do this, he crafted a build. He decided that what he needed was to be strong enough to handle whatever monsters he found, agile enough to sneak past those that he couldn't, and durable enough to not have to retreat.
The going was rough. Again and again he died, and he changed and modified his build as it went. After getting disarmed one time too many, he decided to settle on a build that would solve that issue. He used his gauntlets as his weapons, and sunk an indorindate amount of gold and time into training in their use. He specialized in this, determined to never lose a weapon or shield again.
Back in the real world, this meant buying more and more in-game currency and items. He didn't care, as he no longer saw the real world as being real. Every day he told himself that he was working for Thorin. For Clan. For Hold. For his family and friends. That it was no different than grinding for resources. His supervisor praised him for his amazing work ethic and good attitude.
In this grind, he slowly attracted other players. It was a small group of other people who played dwarves. They called it a Clan. Their Clan. Clan Spellsplitter. They were all role-players, and as time went on their conversations became more and more "in-character." They stopped even acknowledging the real world. It was an unwritten rule that when in-game, one had to stay in-game.
This, in turn, led to him outfitting his "Clan members." They wore his armor and wielded his weapons. And in-character they praised him for it. It was, sadly, the happiest moment in his life.
A turning point for him came when his "clan members" came across a rune. It was rare, for dwarven runes were not something that were 'dropped' by most monsters. "In character" they talked about how wonderful it was to find something of their heritage, and mourned that it was just not cost effective to do it. This...spoke to him.
He decided, then and there, that he would learn rune crafting. It took too much time, they said. He didn't care. He had time. It took too much money, they said. He didn't care. That was what he worked for. It was not effective in combat. He didn't care! It made him want to do it even more.
It was slow going, at first. He had to research rune crafting. And he had to find a mentor. Even finding that was a quest within itself. This took him out of the Azerlisia Mountains, as he found that after dozens of hours, his mentor was held by the Dark Dwarves.
Him and his "clan members" adventured into the Abelion Hills, and fought their way through the slave armies of the Dark Dwarves. All to break in and rescue the NPC rune crafter. They cheered at what they accomplished. And he almost wept with joy.
What followed was even more slow going. Quest after quest. Hour after hour. He sunk it into rune crafting, with his real-life time and money going into it. For a week he cut back on food so that he could level up the skills.
When he finally made his first rune, there was an in-game celebration. His clan members gave him gifts. Crafting tools. Resources. Even a magical ring. It was made with runes, and had been found in a dungeon raid. He actually cried, because it was the birthday he had never had.
The ring itself, was simple. Made out of gold with runes of protection on it. It was "not as good" as other rings, because upgrading it required rune craft. It was thus hard even to sell to other players. But to him? It was his most cherished possession.
In time, he began to make his own runes. He put them on his clothing. On his armor. On his gauntlets. He was happy, even with the time commitment. Because he was living his life the way he wanted.
But all good things cannot last forever. His clan members began to slowly drift away. One got a promotion. Another got married. A third had a child. A fourth just couldn't afford to keep playing. And the fifth? He slowly just stopped logging on.
And as such, he slowly found himself being alone once more. He would log in, and more and more he was the only one there. He would role-play with other people, but it was just not the same as with his clan. The resources they had given to him had long since been used, but the ring? It reminded him of the only true friendships that he ever had.
He was crafting away when *it* happened. Like a few other people, he found himself *stuck* in the game. Which brings him to the here and now. A player stuck inside his avatar, who has long since stopped thinking about himself as a real live human being. He is who he wants to be. Living the life that he wants. And he fears more than anything being sent back into the world that he hates.

3 - extra +2 to an ability score (+2 Charisma making it 16)
- His lowest stat and fits into last ability
4 - gain a mount CR 3 or below
- Rather than having a mount (which doesn't fit his feel and is a lot of book keeping), I’d like to replace the CR 3 mount with a permanent +10 ft. enhancement bonus to movement speed. This fits the ‘tireless forge-worker’ and ‘warrior on foot’ image I’m going for.

- Forge Ring
6 - gain a wish
- How does this work exactly?
7 - gain a magical ring no more than 8,000 gp (You must write the description, abilities, and background of the ring in your crunch as well)
- Ring of Protection +2 (see background)
8 - gain a familiar or animal companion
- I'll take a familiar if I can replace the mount with +10ft movement speed. Otherwise, I'll grab a mount and use it as an animal companion.
9 - gain a super power
- I see that another player has mythic 1 archmage. Would mythic 1 guardian be appropriate here? I'd take absorb blow (tanky dwarf) and legendary item - Ring (showing how important it is to him and making it more special)
10 - gain another 'Special' from another class, it cannot be a Special above 5th level.
I am fine if you want to conspire with other players to decide what you want to play... ;)”
- Divine Grace (Su) At 2nd level, a paladin gains a bonus equal to her Charisma bonus (if any) on all Saving Throws.

Wait GM we can be level 6 and choose a CR+3 template? In that case can I start as a lvl 6 half succubus(treating it as a +3 instead of a +2) and allow myself to level up past level 11? More importantly though do you foresee the campaign lasting beyond level 11 so I could make this worth it? Or maybe a dread vampire build with sorcerer and mesmerism since I kinda want a build that just puppets people?

How are deities handled? Is there a specific pantheon? Should we use the Golarion deities? Or can we just take feats/archetypes/whatever that are normally deity-specific and not worry about that sort of thing?
From what I understand the gods of this 'dimension' are more abstract and will not interfere. The most you would see is a divine casters spells.

Correct.
Most players choose to take the +2 CR template plus 7 levels of gestalt.
If you take a +3 template then you will have 6 levels of gestalt.

Try that question again.

There are two guilds so far...
Seeds of Slaughter (Which all current players are apart of.)Dragons Glory
(Or Sumukil's guild)

This feat was one I’d stumbled across that seems fun. Has some fairly specific requirements for what deity you can worship, but they also seem pretty easy to ignore.

Yes that feat is perfectly acceptable! You need to meet the requirements but yeah!
Who would you like to worship?
I am glad with having all sorts of gods being established. As we establish them we will continue to use those gods.
A suggestion would be: Thor, Sekmet, Hoth, Sarenrae, Wee Jas, Bahamut, Hera, and an Indian god (I can't think of one now!).

Mental Potency: the HD limit and the total number of HD affected with each enchantment or illusion spell she casts increases by 1. For enchantment and illusion spells she casts that target a number of creatures greater than one, the number of creatures affected also increases by one
Psychic Inception: The hypnotic stare and its penalty can affect creatures that are mindless or immune to mind-affecting effects and partially affect such a creature with his mind-affecting spells and abilities if it’s under the effect of his hypnotic stare; it gains a +2 bonus on its saving throw (if any), and if affected, it still has a 50% chance each round of ignoring the effect. Ignoring the effect doesn’t end the effect, but does allow the creature to act normally for that round.
Umbral Shield (Occult Realms pg. 16): The subject ignores any harmful effects of bright light or sunlight for 1 minute. The mesmerist can trigger this trick whenever the subject would be exposed to harmful bright light (such as sunlight is to a vampire). The subject is immune to the dazzled condition while this trick is in effect.(Usually for her since she is a vampire)
Mesmeric mirror: As mirror image, 2 images, 6 minutes/until discharge
Linked reaction: If she and an ally are in a surprise round, and only one is not surprised, this makes them both not surprised
Meek facade: If the subject misses and attack, the enemy must only attack the subject and the subject gains a +3 dodge Bonus to AC(both effects for one round

Alright so i finalized my build and idea for the backstory. So here is the outline roughly so that DM can check and make sure everything is ok.
Kislum Thrallmaster
Venerable Dread vampire(CR+3) Kitsune Crossblooded sorcerer(Fey/Impossible) 6//Mesmerist 6
...
It looks in order well kinda. Did you make an Alias for your character and put it down as a character sheet?
Also use spoilers to seperate sections like gear, background, description, mesmerist abilities, crossblooded sorcerer abilities, spells, etc. Also why Venerable?

How do I do that on Paizo? It’s my first time attempting to do this on paizo so I am not really sure how it’s done
As for why venerable, 2 reasons. One as an undead caster, there’s no reason not to be old to get the boost to mental stats since they don’t suffer from the more dangerous effects of aging(namely the maximum age causing instant death) and the template negates the other side effects( the strength and Dex penalties balancing out and undead don’t have con)
The second is his backstory includes a part where he uses manipulation in real life to join an elite family as like a highly prized servant/entertainer. He basically kisses ass all the time initially but was removed on the whims of one of the children. he then goes mental when e he realises how powerless he is even despite his silver tongue. So his game character is a vampire who is the ancient founder of a noble house who got there by dominating a bunch of people/monsters into loving. Which is basically what he wished his real life was
Weeeknight
My stat generation:
5d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 4, 3, 4) = 16 -1=15
5d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 1, 2, 4) = 13-1=12
5d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 2, 5, 3) = 16-1= 14
5d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 1, 3, 6) = 14-1=13
5d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 3, 3, 4) = 18-2=16
5d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 3, 6, 6) = 26-3=23
So one very good score the rest average to meh I can work with this
Since undead don’t get con I will drop the 12(since stat generation apply before the template)
Str: 14-2(race)-6(venerable)+8(dread vampire)=14
Dex: 16+2(race)-6(venerable)+6(dread vampire)=18
Con:-
Int: 13+3(venerable)+4(dread vampire)=20
Wis: 15+3(venerable)+4(dread vampire)=22
Cha: 23+2(race)+1(4th)+3(venerable)+6(dread vampire)=35
Ok I will do the backstory then the remaining touches

My Backstory: Be warned its a bit longer than i expected(i think its like 33 paragraphs)
Some people are born with talents or gifts that others lack. These individuals are set apart from the unwashed masses who are merely drones who do what they are told. For some the gift was material things, like money or political power. For others the gift was immaterial, a genius mind or a silver tongue. Adrialle Seps was one born with the gift of gab. A talent that she believed was far superior to even those born into wealth.
Adrialle was born into a rather well to do family as an only child. Her father was an accountant working for a prominent business conglomerate and her mother was an international banker. Throughout her childhood, she would travel the world due to her parents’ jobs and marvel at mega cities with shining lights populated by the cream of the crop in the business world.
She would take easily to her studies, believing she was a natural born genius and excelled in her early academic career. Though, she would realize this early success was due to the excellent tutors and prestigious schools she attended. As she progressed her education, she realized her true gift was her ability to manipulate the people around her. She could easily convince her peers to share what they had, be it food or stationery, get them to do her work for her or even persuade even upstanding students to help her cheat.
Soon enough, she would be able to use her natural charisma to convince larger amounts of students to do what she wanted. She became her school dance team’s captain despite being the least qualified dancer amongst the candidates. She became the student council chairwoman just to see if she could do so without preparation beforehand. Naturally she was viewed as an ideal pupil by her teachers and amongst her peers as the ‘it’ girl.
She aced her interview with her dream university, the same university both her parents were alumni to and due to her adequate results and stunning referrals by her teachers she got in. It was here where she was able to greatly improve her social standing. While her life was going smoothly, the world was slowly becoming more dystopian. Major corporations were gaining more and more power while governmental power waned. Her family and the university students were the spring board for her to expand her connections.
It started well, through her parents connections she became fast friends with a schoolmate whose parents were executives in one branch of a mega Corp that was headquartered in her city. Through him, she was able to get to know and establish connections with executives and heads of this subcompany of the mega Corp. She would soon be employed at the company with some favors from her friends.
Naturally it was a long and grueling process, befriending and getting to know people higher and higher up on the chain. The process was a high risk high reward scheme to acquire power for herself. Many would likely have faltered in the process or gotten satisfied after becoming head of one company or another but to her the process was exhilarating. It was like a game, learning to read your target, guess what they liked and disliked before trying to get in their good graces.
Luckily for her, in her region it was commonplace to drink and hang out with your coworkers and bosses after work. An annoying practice for many was just the perfect playground for her. People were easier to manipulate and read with alcohol in their system.
What was a perfect strategy to her was seen as distasteful and disliked by those on the same social standing as her. Though she never allowed these sentiments to last for long. She needed to maintain a careful balance of flattery to her bosses and friendliness to her coworkers. It wouldn't do, after all, if word spread that she kissed assed or slept her way to the top. That would be bad for her scheme.
She would play the game for years, trading favors and flattery for promotions or gifts. As her social status and wealth grew, so did her pride. Despite the acts of flattery and favors she exchanged to achieve her wealth, she viewed them as evidence that she was the ultimate manipulator. After all, her life so far had shown her that no one was beyond her manipulation. Not even those who had far more wealth and power than she did.
It came to a head with what she saw at the time as her magnum opus. She was 27 then, in the prime of her life some would say. She was quite the sensation in the business world, the daughter of bankers who climbed her way into being an important figure in the family owned mega Corp. Enough of a sensation to catch the attention of the heir apparent and vice chairman, Imugami.
Luckily for her, Imugami was around her age and single. He had his share of admirers of course, but she strived to stand out. Their first true conversation was at a dinner in Paris. It was a business meeting so most of the attention was on his father so it was all too easy to make up an excuse to talk to him.
She had already known quite a lot about him beforehand through her connections but she played it cool and only let slip enough that it seemed they coincidentally had the same interests rather than her researching his hobbies. She cut the conversation just short enough to pique his interest in hopes he would seek her out.
He did look for her soon after, confirming she read him correctly. Was it cynical of her to plan out her conversations and string him along knowing he would follow? Maybe but she didn't care. It was the game she played so many times, and she had never once made a wrong move.
One thing led to another and soon they started sleeping together. Then they entered into a relationship. Imugami never questioned why she always seemed to know what to say or why she changed her fashion and body in just the way he would like. She liked to think she was playing the game flawlessly and with this she had won.
For a while it seemed she had. She was made the family’s personal accountant and she had imugami wrapped around her finger. She now had everything she wanted. A vast personal wealth, a secured position at the top of society and functionally any material good she could want. All she had to do was simply wait it out till he proposed or she got pregnant.
One night, she was having dinner with Imugami’s family. The dinner was going well and she was playing the part of the perfect girlfriend in front of the family. That was all she had to do. Unfortunately, fate had other plans. Imugami’s sister loudly declared she wanted peanuts. Her father told her no and said she could have them under dessert. She whined loudly and put down her fork to demand it again. Wanting to be a good guest and earn some brownie points, Adrialle volunteered to get them for her.
She didn’t actually know where they kept peanuts in the massive household of course so she just asked one of the maids to get them once she was out of sight. Bag of peanuts in hand, she returned to hand them to the girl with a polite smile. Then all hell broke loose.
The brat started screaming her head off, saying how dare she hand her an un-plated bag of nuts. Momentarily stunned and quite confused, she made the mistake of attempting to correct her that she didn't mention she wanted them plated. Which was all the pushback needed for the brat to berate and scream personal insults at her. Normally, such insults wouldn't faze Adrialle but something about this spoiled brat just rubbed her the wrong way. She replied in kind, her own insults with more meat than her opponents but in hindsight that was the wrong move.
The gathering ended abruptly after and she realized her mistake too late. While the brother was the heir to the company, the chairman also held his daughter in high esteem. Her relationship ended soon after, under pressure from his sister. And all the good will she had with the family was instantly squandered in an instant.
Needless to say, she lost her job at the company first, fired almost immediately with the sister sacking her personally. Furthermore, any employee of the conglomerate she had close ties to were also fired and so many of her connections cut ties with her. Due to the near merger between the government and the conglomerate, most of her assets were also seized for one reason or another. Even her parents were forced to knee and bow to the sister to apologize for her mistake.
In a single instant, she had lost everything she spent her adult life building up. She went from one of the top people in society to one of its lowest all at the whim of her. Worse than the material impact of this though, was the damage to her pride. She had convinced herself she was above everyone, that no one was beyond her machinations. But all her charisma and talent didn't matter against a girl who was her complete opposite. She was just a pawn not a chess master, a pawn who could be taken off the board in an instant.
The following months were hard on her. Because of how high profile she was and how swiftly she fell, even in the bottom of society her reputation was still stained. Few would interact with her and none would give her anything out of fear. A constant reminder of how insignificant she was. She did the only thing she could, escape. Not in real life for she had nowhere to go, but into video games.
The DRMMO game Yggdrasil had been out for quite awhile before her fall from grace but she never touched it before. She never saw a reason to because her life was perfect then. But now, she craved to escape reality. She couldn't accomplish much more than steal and beg to survive in the real world but in the game perhaps she could accomplish something, anything, to make her feel better. Coincidentally, one of the few possessions she kept was a demo version of the dive helmet given to executives by the yggdrasil developer to garner support.. She initially wanted to sell it but since almost everyone had a dive helmet, no one would offer her any substantial amount for it.
It worked like a charm. In her years of networking, she had picked up a passing interest in rpgs to strike up a conversation. She did like the idea of rpgs but before she never had much time for it. Now though, she took to it like a fish to water. In the game, she was anonymous, never revealing personal details about herself out of fear of being targeted. She could pretend everything was fine and she even started to play her old games of manipulation and networking. But this time, it didn’t feel as fun.
Her old tactics and charms felt half-assed and any victories she achieved using them were hollow. There was always the dread in the back of her mind, that everything could be ripped out from under her again. The game had its own power structures, its own uber powerful guilds. Diplomacy and friendship were too weak. Actual power could always break what she built using charm. She tried to use other builds but they rang even more hollow. It wasn’t her way to burn all in her path or use brute force. Then she found it. Domination magic.
Now she could force people to do her bidding. Those forced by this magic couldn’t disobey her. Couldn't forsake her like her previous allies. And she could make them do whatever she liked. Anything she wanted. Things she could never have demanded those friends of hers to do in the real world. It felt right. She knew in her heart of hearts she was no fighter, she was a mastermind. Now she could live out her own fantasy in her own little way.
She wanted more power, more control. Of course, she had little money to spend but what money she could spend was spent to look for a way to make her a more effective dominator. The idea to become a vampire was a natural step. Vampires could force mortals and animals to do their bidding in the old myths. Their aesthetic was also a match for her. All her life she had almost an ethereal beauty about her. And somehow all spending time in the slums had done to her was to make her look emaciated with long nails.
Becoming a vampire was the first step, her long term goal was to rule over something. That feeling of superiority was the reason she did everything she did. Perhaps it was selfish and shallow but at this point she didn't care. She might as well milk this game for all its worth. And so she sank herself into her persona. She made her character an old ancestor of royal blood, a true and rightful ruler of the lands. And she would use her magic to get what she wanted. A kingdom.
She would also undertake a petty vengeance against the family who destroyed her, especially that girl. She could never win against them in real life so she enacted it in the game. She would acquire a ring of the godless, as a symbol of defiance against the conglomerate who some likened to gods. She then took a NPC and modified their appearance to become like the sister and turned her into a vampire who would forever be a slave to her. Then she turned some of the other npcs into members of that family and used her domination magic to enslave them as well. She used her prior knowledge on their personality to make these puppets as realistic as possible. She uses these npcs as canon fodder essentially, sending them into battles as distractions and bait. Even if they die, she could always make more. And her vampiric slave would suffer every whim of hers. Since she could not defy her orders, Adrialle would force her to do mundane tasks and then just punish her for sport. She even made small modifications to her personality to amuse herself. A small vengeance against those who were untouchable.
She kept up this routine for many years, every year the game was open in fact and every time she would experience humiliation and set back in the real world, she would take it out on those in the game. She had gotten quite creative over the years and especially enjoyed reenacting what she wanted to do all those years ago on that faithful day.
While she did enjoy herself in the game, she had quite a bit of trouble in the social aspect of the game. She never allowed herself to interact openly with her guild members when she joined a group and would frequently get kicked from guilds as they found her behavior especially towards npcs rather disturbing. As the game wound down, she joined one of the few active guilds, the seeds of slaughter, out of convenience more than any desire to make friends. They help her with some of the important parts of the game and didn't openly question her odd behavior with her npcs, which was good enough for her.
She barely noticed as guild attendance dropped and only paid enough attention to realize the game would soon be shutting down. Instead of joining any of the end of service parties or checking up with group mates though, she spent her time crafting her own plans. Namely to spend the time taking out some anger on the npcs. She got so carried away in fact that she didn't notice the oddities about the server shut down

So thats my backstory, my PC's Irl name is Adrialle and she's basically got her world view shattered by the power difference between her(who manipulated her way to the top) and the conglomerate heirs. She then gets into yggdrasil and becomes obsessed with dominate spells so became a vampire and then made npcs versions of the people who destroyed her to use as like canon fodder and servants. Her alignment is pretty solidly neutral evil i think because of how selfish she is.
I couldn't really decide what to name the conglomerate heir so named them a mix of Imu(from one piece) and togami(from danganronpa).
I will list my backstory gifts on the discussion page

So in game you started as a Venerable Kitsume then became a dread vampire?
To create an Alias you click on your account settings and add one. Then click on the Alias and hit create profile. Put your info in there. Also use the spoiler]
/spoiler] to make sections. You will need a [ at the front of both of those to make them function.

Is this campaign still recruiting? It looks pretty cool and I have in mind a pretty straightforward strength build for a brute sort of based on cocytus :advanced penanggalen Trox blood rager 7//fighter 7
Yes technically we are still recruiting but it is getting a bit tight in here now.
We have 3 present players. Then adding in 4, hopefully sooner than later. There are a few lurkers. Will someone please put out our present roster of players/characters etc.
I would like a link to penanggalean and Trox please.

Your superior crafting skills allow you to create simple magic items.
Prerequisites: 5 ranks in any Craft or Profession skill.
Benefit: Choose one Craft or Profession skill in which you possess at least 5 ranks. You receive a +2 bonus on your chosen Craft or Profession skill. Ranks in your chosen skill count as your caster level for the purposes of qualifying for the Craft Magic Arms and Armor and Craft Wondrous Item feats. You can create magic items using these feats, substituting your ranks in the chosen skill for your total caster level. You must use the chosen skill for the check to create the item. The DC to create the item still increases for any necessary spell requirements (see the magic item creation rules in Magic Items). You cannot use this feat to create any spell-trigger or spell-activation item.
Normal: Only spellcasters can qualify for the Craft Magic Arms and Armor and Craft Wondrous Item feats.

Sure...
Blood rager 7 / Fighter 7 penanggalen Trox
I don't see an advanced version of penanggalen, though its stats should make it a CR 2 template.
I may have to compare the ability bonuses of templates acquired. Yet another of my many jobs that no one else has to worry about... This is also why I did not want people to deviate from the rules... alas, I digress.
