Onjatan
|
The spirits lash out again, this time striking home.
Spirit attack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (13) + 14 = 27
Spirit damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
The bebilith's attention was focused on him, so walling in Mykel was less urgent. Keep its attention off Yanda.
As Yanda's bombs explode, the wasted fire lingers. All at once, it rushes upwards to Onjatan's hand, to join with another flame that had appeared there. Then, together, the bolt of fire shoots downwards at the burning bebilith.
Move action to gather power.
Standard action to use Empowered Kinetic Bolt (fire) while fighting defensively.
This provokes, since it's a ranged attack. AC against the AoO is either 33 or 35, depending on whether kneeling helps (see question in discussion)
If bitten by the bebilith, use Resolve as an immediate action to roll the fortitude save twice
Ranged touch attack (haste, good hope, into melee, fighting defensively): 1d20 + 9 + 1 + 2 - 4 - 4 ⇒ (11) + 9 + 1 + 2 - 4 - 4 = 15
Fire damage (before empower): 4d6 + 3 ⇒ (1, 3, 2, 4) + 3 = 13
Total of 19 fire damage after empower
Araga
|
Araga finishes burrowing through the walls and pops out under Onjatan's feet... back in olaggi territory, maybe, but right up next to the door.
She prepares to help Onjatan if he needs it.
Ready action to Aid Another on Onjatan's next save prompted by the bebilith (seems to maybe be possible, since you can "help someone affected by a spell")
1d20 ⇒ 11
Would successfully aid the save
Mykel Therinor

Mykel readies to strike if the fiend decides to taste his blade.
readied attack1: 1d20 + 20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 20 + 1 = 26
damage1: 1d8 + 10 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 10 + 9 = 21
parry: 1d20 + 24 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 24 + 1 = 41
riposte: 1d20 + 24 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 24 + 1 = 26
damage: 1d7 + 13 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 13 + 9 = 27
He then sends his spirit totem to attack.
attack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32
damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
odd question...for a readied attack action, i only get the one right? with my BaB and haste i'd normally get three swings...but only one now right with a readied? never though about it...

The eels nip at Onjatan and Araga.

Mykel's spirits attack the spider. And finish it! Its body plummets into the darkness below. Only to reappear a few moments later, falling from above, repeatedly. As its corpse falls, the pathfinders notice a small lit up stone resting on its back.
Combat over! Pathfinders are victorious!

Well in that case...
Working quickly, now that she's free of the tangling web, Araga unties the rope from Onjatan's belt. The rope currently stretched directly across the pit.
She manages it just before the bebilith starts its infinite freefall.
Firewarden Yanda

"I'll go get the thing on its back. But first, anyone have something free that would take care of those eels?"
Once the eels are taken care of, Yanda flies after it and lands on its back. She will use a dagger to pry it off she then fly back if all goes well.
If nobody has a free way of zapping the eels she will toss an acid flash at them.

Araga unties the rope from Onjatan and fashions it into a climbing aid to help the others get across the pit.
Yanda tosses an acid flask at the eels, killing more of them, and enraging the others even further. They are effectively limitless. Think of them as sort of like a cross between a swarm (but without hp) and an environmental hazard. Then she flies down to retrieve the glowing stone from the back of the bebilith corpse. It is indeed the magically lit up stone that Onjatan had dropped into the pit some short moments ago. Hence why you didn't see it cycling through the pit. I ruled that when Onjatan dropped it, it landed on the Bebilith's back. It took all my will power not to write "Fool of a Took!" As she flies around doing all of this, the eels continue to nip at her.

The eels continue to nip pointlessly at Onjatan.

Meanwhile, Araga gets out of the eels' territory by burrowing beneath the door and looking around. Onjatan, do you have a way of communicating with Araga at range? Otherwise you'll have to wait until she returns to get her report. If she returns.

This irregular hexagonal chamber has a sloping floor that rises from its lower northern entrance (where you have entered) to its higher southern landing. The floor is carved with a pattern of shallow grooves that fan out to snake across the sloping portion of the floor. Two pillars stand about 20 feet from the northern door. At the top of the sloping chamber, just past the two pillars, is a small landing. In the western wall of this landing stands a bronze door inscribed with runes of warding and protection. Lead and wax seals lie broken on the floor before the door.

No one has tried the far door yet. There doesn't appear to be any diminishment in the oil supply that you have noticed. So far. It isn't flowing out the door into the pit area yet but it looks like that is likely to occur very soon.

According to Araga, there should be something up here. No visible mechanism, and he didn't notice any access hatches. The southern door had what seemed to be broken seals around it, so that was something one of the magic types should look at before opening.

Onjatan starts hacking at the floor and knocks solid gash in it.

Yanda's air crystal saves her from an unpleasant bout of coughing and the rest of the group are able to avoid the worst of the smoke for the moment.
Pathfinders are up! The bold may act!
Firewarden Yanda

Approacing the scene with Mykel in tow, Yanda asks, "How can we help, Onjatan?"
Araga
|
Araga is burrowing, somewhere under the flow of oil. Does she still need to attempt saves vs the fire? Also, the tracker still has her down for nonlethal damage from the smoke that she didn't breathe
