Drago drew his blade, "Keep your eyes peeled," He said to no one in particular.

"But I don't have eyes," His sword responded.

"Then whatever it is you use to sense things," The Dhampir responded. With a shake of his head, he looked about.

The pale one can talk to things... and they talk back. Interesting.


Toska and Drago both see the footprints in the sand easily enough, but only the yojimbo is able to follow the trail once the terrain changes. Once off the beach, the area becomes a swampy morass with water coming up to your knees. In Auric's case, the water comes to his waist.

I'll need a Survival check for the group to proceed.

I wish Sādhanā was here, Drago thought to himself fearing that a shard might be involved. "The amount of magic needed for this level of change is either really powerful or is flowing like a river. Either way, we need to steel ourselves. I'd recommend those that can read the terrain in front to keep an eye out for any other terrain oddities."

Toska nods warmly to Svanna when she joins him up at the front.


You proceed toward the green light without any difficulty. After a few minutes you see a crude wooden structure sitting in a deep pool of water. Atop the structure sits a large crystal, the source of the green light. It hums with magical power and you feel the muddy earth beneath you vibrate with its energy.

"Alright, snake it is then," Drago readying his blade while drawing his family one. He focused on it for just a second, the blade ignited and immediately absorbed into the Dhampirs body, causing his eyes to burn like two blazing torches. "Let's do this."
