You might want to defer to the people that actually know something about what these "prisoners" might actually be capable of...like Toska or Auric. *sigh* It's not usually a good idea to lie to Paladins. Technically, they didn't attack you. You saw them in town, and had suspicions that they were up to no good. You followed them back to their creepy island, killed their pet, then attacked them. These people have no idea what's going on with the summoners, what you or Auric have been through, or what those kamikaze guys are all about. So, if you want them to help you, you're going to have to come up with something a little better than that. This is Valwick, and the people that live here...aren't naturally distrustful of other people, and would rather believe in the best of everyone. They don't have prejudices against people from other lands. Which is nice, but it makes them a little vulnerable. If you want these people to trust you, or help you, you need to tell the TRUTH. Right now, it just looks like you brought back some guys that you beat up, without being provoked. That's not going to go over well, especially if it causes problems for the rest of the people that live here, that want to be left in peace. They've come here to escape from war, not get dragged into yours. Just sayin'

We got into a scuffle and brought back these three because they weren't being very talkative. Can't you find out if they are evil or not?"

The paladin's eyes are surrounded by a holy white glow and he observes the captured. He nods at Auric. "They are. Though I'm not entirely convinced of your methods, I will go get Barclay."

He whistles three times and three paladins appear to relieve the group of the prisoners, taking them inside the fort. The main guard then gestures at the door. "You are free to wait inside until I get Barclay."

It's easy to do. Honestly, half the time I can't remember who knows what even though I've read through the entire story several times. I always haved to go back and look at stuff from years ago, to figure out what's going on now. Stuff just happens and we can't always keep up with it. My brain ain't no archive of information. I try to take notes when I run across information that we might need....but then I can't always remember what I did with the notes. My memory has been for $hit lately between the pain, medication, and dealing with A$$holes okn almost a daily basis, stress, anxiety...it jacks up the ol' noggin.
