I want to get color spray to hit all 3 goblins. I know I can do that with a 15 ft. Cone. I didn't want to confuse people with overlapping markers so that's Why Chakki is kind of awkwardly in the hallway. You can just move me to wherever makes sense to hit all the goblins.

I just checked the in game map with my phone and accidentally shifted the whole thing with my thumb. I can't get it to line up exactly right from my phone.

The issue is that I think if you want to hit all goblins your going to hit Butoka as well. Otherwise if you dont want to hit Butoka than you can only hit the two in the back.

There’s a five foot space between Butoka and the goblins in the back so thats making it impossible to hit all three without hitting Butoka.

Ela'in is in the square where you need to be to get 3 goblins. RAW I think you can't end your movement there, I've always thought that was a little silly especially if the current occupant is an ally and allows you in. So up to GM if its actually possible and what penalties might apply, squeezing comes to mind.

You won't be able to edit your post. You can only edit up to an hour after its posted. Just say last post didn't happen and that should avoid confusion.

I think hitting Butoka with color spray is fine so long as he's cool with it. Color spraying allies is a fine tradition.

Correct, can’t end your movement in a space with an ally, so two options would be to stand behind Butoka and hit him, or stand in front of Butoka and not hit him.

I think its similar to like ranged combat right, your essentially breaking up your movement to cast a spell and then end your turn either in another square or that one. I like the RAW reading cause it forces the team to think more tactically with their whole team rather than just themself (realize its a little to say this since I moved Ela’in lol but the point still stands)

@Sabs, yes sorry, I did momentarily forget about the bless...or rather I had momentarily forgotten that bless was not a touch spell. I had initially assumed that Butoka was the only target of that spell.

Yep everyone should have been in range. Chakki too on her ray of frost, so the result should have been a 5 rather than a 4. Not much you can do when you roll 3s. I thought about trying to go around to get behind them so I could flank, but it would take several rounds to get there and possibly chain pull several monster closets. So instead I got out of the way since I can't contribute too much until everyone gets horribly injured.

Out of curiosity, there appears to be some disparity between Kidlat's actions regarding Kabayo and Sabs'.

"He urges Kabayo back to safety, hoping that he won't become a big target in whatever fight is about to ensue."-Kidlat's action after dismounting

and Sabs in her latest post fed him a date (which is a great in character action. Absolutely love it).

Merely for the sake of understanding canon, was one of these rendered void? Is Kabayo in the mud presently or has he retreated to safety? I have no qualms either way.

1.) Was the goblin's "Get them!" shout in common or was it in goblin?

2.) Yeah, you cannot move on a full round action. That's why I made the attack roll to hit a prone character and didn't crit the dice+add the Katana's Deadly special ability. While it was meant to end the goblin's life, it functionally couldn't serve as a Coup de Grace

3.) Would I be in charge of moving Kabayo when Kidlat is not riding him or are you SamuraiNitta?

This next combat looks like it's going to be fun!

Sorry for the confusion! It be an issue sometimes especially in this situation where the Goblin would be dead if Chakki's action was resolved sooner. Then the goblin wouldn't have been in the way when you went to post your action.

I should have guessed that's what you wanted to know and waited for SamuraiNitta to clarify how he wanted to handle things. Rather than say look it up.

Sorry friends! I had intensive week for one of my classes at school and was basically in school Monday-Friday straight all day.

Yeah, it can get confusing with block Intiative a little bit, but block initiative can make the combat run smoother. I think going forward if you are planning on delaying or readying an action maybe give a couple triggers in case the one does trigger.

This isn’t supposed to be give you two triggers but allows you to still do something if other people’s posts mess with your triggers.

We can always recruit more people. This seems to be a pretty common problem. In the game I'm running there is only 1 original player, one of which we lost during my watch, and I'm the third GM. And I've joined 3 games that have since died and another that is looking like it will lose its GM. Since it's an original adventure will count as another dead game.

How we proceed is up to SamuraiNitta. But if you want to be selective about it I can ask the players in my game since I know they're reliable posters. Fair warning they prefer a brisk game.

I mean, not much has actually happened so far...

What has happened so far:

  • 1.) Sanju, a travelling merchant, has returned from his travels with less than he was anticipating.
  • 2.) This loss in items was due to an attack by goblins.
  • 3.) A group of adventurers were dispatched to kill the goblins and return any items recovered(?)
  • 4.) The goblins of Licktoad Village seem to be rather concerned about skeletons for some reason.

If we just return to the village in the near future, all these events could easily be summarized in the narrative.
