I decided to play as an Arcanist with the Tarot Student archetype.
I'll be doing some magic stuff, it will be cool.
The Tarot Student archetype type gives me access to several skills early that will be useful.

Just double checking, are we monitoring the weight of coins or are they considered weightless? If the former, would I be correct in assuming that 50 coins are equal to one pound?
At the time of this posting, I am assuming that we are monitoring their weight and that 50 coins = 1 lb.
In a similar theme to my earlier question, are potions considered weightless in this campaign or do they each weigh one ounce (making 16 of them weigh 1 lb.)?

Coins we’re going weightless for sure, unless we get to the point where you’ve got thousands and thousands of coins and no handy haversack or such.
With potions, I’m not sure where you’re getting the weight for them. I see the 1 oz but there’s no rule for potions weighing any actual weight. Yes, using real life physics, 16 of them weigh a pound, but this isn’t real life. It just seems like we’re combining real life rules with pathfinder reality lol.
By RAW potions are weightless, now obviously if I feel like you guys are abusing that I’ll definitely step in and make a ruling.
@kidlat Looks good, you should add your attack modifier to your weapons like Katana + (what to hit?) (dmg 1d8 + x, etc). Also check your carrying capacities, the encumberance by weight table shows a different amount for Str of 16.
@everyone, we are close! :) Do we have somebody who wants to volunteer to be the Loot and Gold tracker and some body else who wants to be the caravan tracker?

I have a different carrying capacity than a character with a 16 str score because I have a strong score of 18, including racial modifiers.

Hey going forward, if the party is split up make sure you are making it a spoiler. Not super super important now since its just party intro stuff, but it could become important in the future so its good to get into the practice now.
PBP is cool like that in that it attempts to limit out of character knowledge regarding another character. The rule is if its a non spoilered post then its fair knowledge or conversation that anyone can walk up and interact with.
Somewhat on that, make sure that your out of character parts in the gameplay is kept to a minimal, this Discussion thread is what is used for most out of character discussions.
My out of character text was asking a question about in game events. Would it still be better to ask it here? I also made two posts because time had passed since I had made my post and came up with my out of character question. So sorry if that made things confusing.
No, asking that in there was exactly where you needed to ask that. I would even venture to say its fine if its not a spoiler when you ask something like that. Thanks for asking!
For stuff like “does he look vaguely tian-shu” that is an out of character conversation that the players need to have, much more of pbp is player driven story. Do you want Kidlat to look noticeabley tian-shu? You get to make that call.

Can I read the spoiler tabs for the group that my character isn't around, as long as I don't let it effect my in game decisions? Or would everyone prefer it if I kept my game knowledge of events closer to that of my character?
The general rule is that you dont read a spoiler tagged for someone else (especially if I tag or someone tags it as a GM spoiler lol).
That’s one of the cool things about PBP is that it has a built in mechanic for something is much harder to do at an actual table.

Yes that was perfect! Something like “I’m not planning on doing anything” is a fine post to make out of character in the gameplay thread.

Is this like medieval times in which there was alchohol at every meal because the water wasn't good, or would there be a different drink served at this time? If it's alchohol then I'm assuming it's something lighter on alchohol content.
How do I multiply dice expressions? I messed around with it for a good while before finally giving up...
As best I can tell you can’t in the traditional sense however with damage you aren’t multiplying the total your multiplying the amount of dice you roll so for example 1d6 would become 3d6, etc, etc.
Also! You need to wait till it’s your turn in the initiative order to go (unless there’s extenuating circumstances or I say it’s ok) only reason is that it’s just like normal pathfinder. The battlefield changes depending on what people do. The snack would get to go again before Butoka got to attack.
So in the future wait till it’s your turn in the initiative order to post. I may end up using block initiative where I say which few people can go but don’t go until I tell you to.
@SamuraiNitta I made some changes to my character info that it shows right underneath Chakki's name. Please let me know if there is anything else I should put there, and if you have any tips on how to format it better.

Yes, thats my bad. It does go after Kidlat.
@Chakki just add saves, additional AC’s, Int, perception, and CMB/D information. Kidlat has all the relevant information
Also Justin you are right, Ricky only rolled the one Handle Animal check

I just changed my visible stats to match Kidlat's format. I had to heavily edit it because I ran out of space. So I'm not showing my arcane reservoir there any more. If I am going to show my arcane reservoir it will mean not showing some of the info I have there now.
@SamuraiNitta I'm responding here because I don't want to clutter the gameplay thread with discussion about my sense motive check. Your assumption about my +5 to roll is correct. It's my +1 Wis. +1 rank and +3 class skill. How would you like me to format my profile to make that more clear to you?
Doesn’t necessarily matter how even if its in parathentheses as (Rank, Class, Wis) or something like that. On my characters I put (+1 Wis, +1 Rank, +3 Class) after the total for all my skills
Hey guys! Spoke to Ela’in and he doesn’t think that hes going to be able to continue playing. He may in a few months or he might not be able to. It’s sad and we’ll miss him but hes busy an adult or something.
I’ve got a couple options I think we should discuss. The first would be recruiting for someone to replace him. I think that since we are all new, I would like to give someone else who is new to pathfinder pbp a chance to play.
The other option would be to stay with 3 people but use the fast XP track rather than the Medium progressions XP track. I am fine with either.
What does everyone think?

That's a bummer, but I totally understand. I struggle sometimes to get my one post a day in.
Either option would work for me. Though if we do ask someone else to join I don't have anyone specific in mind.
Also, if someone new joined would they take over Ela'in? Or start a new character? Personally I don't enjoy playing characters that someone else has created, and I wouldn't want to obligate someone to something they won't enjoy. That's just me though.
The difficulty going forward with just the 3 of us is that we don't have anyone that excels at healing.
How difficult is it for an Arcanist to move into a healing role?
I do think that Ricky, Danny, and I mesh really well role play wise, and that it will still be an enjoyable experience with just us 3.
I'm having a blast playing with you guys so far.
I would most likely be opening it up to the boards to the first new person to respond to the post. They’d be creating a new character and They’d have to be ok knowing that we all know each other and they’d be the only one we don’t.
Arcanist doesn’t have a whole lot of healing options unless they took the White Mage archetype. Like I said it’s up to you guys and weighing the pros and cons. I’m fine with either.
