How's everyone leaning? I vote we silence the room and beat (preferably stake)her into torpor and interrogate her at a later date-- after we've fully blood bond her to ensure her cooperation.

Well, does anyone know what kind of Status or allies she might have? Does she have a rep in Kindred society? Brutalizing other Kindred like that may not be illegal, but it can have repercussions down the road.

Anyone wanna try Dominating her?

The UK Kindred would know she has some pull in Mithras' Court in London as and up and comer Harpy. Avalon is a worldwide power Court due to the current influence of the British Empire.

And there you go folks. Beat up Victoria Ashe, get a bad rep for centuries to come across Europe.

"Miss," says Jim rather humbly, "Please forgive the unfortunate circumstances. Everyone is rather prickly given what has just happened on this train, and how that could affect all of us. Surely you can see, we are all in this together—quite literally, as we are all on this train as it runs its course—and it is in our best interests not to squabble and fight. Perhaps we should find a spot where we can discuss this matter away from ears that shouldn't hear such conversations."

The implication here, without ever saying anything that violates the Masquerade, is that it's better for us Kindred to have a private discussion about this than to distract each other with our grievances while the mortals become increasingly suspicious and potentially cause bigger problems for all of us.

Charisma + Etiquette: 4d10 ⇒ (3, 2, 4, 6) = 15

Sadly, diplomacy is really not Jim's strong suit, and while he makes an earnest effort, the circumstances—with Ashe surrounded by a group of upset Tremere—do not help his case.

you uh... put that in the wrong place.

This is really weird, b/c I was on the Gameplay thread when I told it to post. I know because I was re-reading the team's various threats against Ms. Ashe and wondering if I was going to need to put her in a submission hold.

No worries I'll shift it there when I respond.

Thank you!

I don't think I can do that. We'd be able to hear sounds that originated outside the room, but we wouldn't be able to make any sounds within it to have a conversation.

Ahh my apologies, its been awhile since I played vampire so I'm a bit rusty.

DM, would it be reasonable to say that if the room was cloaked Henry wrote out a note saying the above and passed it to Ash awaiting her reply?

I think closing the door is sufficient so I just went with that.

Questions or are we all just busy ? :-)

Henry's letting others take the lead here, don't want to have him dominate the conversation without giving other characters a chance to react, especially when social skills are not his forte.

Wenzel had RL issues so he will be spotty for the next week or so.

As part of Master Beschi's lessons, when a roll that needs to be made moving forward comes up, I will let you know if his lessons will aid you either in a larger dice pool or reduced difficulty or just in story exposition based on his lectures.

Master Beschi is now out and you are all about to be on your own in Constantinople.

Question, do you wish to have Sarah and Donato around still or have them exit in Constantinople as they are no longer PCs?

This is the last scene for the PCs on the train, speak amongst yourselves for the next few days. If there is no chatter or the chatter comes to an end, I will move the group to the next scene in the city.

OK, the chatter died down so it was time to move us onto the next scene.

Henry has two dots in Herd that I believe have traveled with him. Is that enough to suggest his BP is full?

At the moment, I am moving forward with the idea that everyone is at full BP even without Herd. Enough Mortals on that train for each of you to sup the last 2 nights and use forgetful mind to erase any trace of your feeding.

Hereafter, it will be a different story!

What would the roll be to determine if something feels off here to Henry?

Perception+Awareness DC 6 - 2 successes. However, just by his appearance alone this guy is a bit creepy and unsettling.

Did we lose Badger? I haven't seen him post in about a month or so, I know that Zhang Jim is around on the boards.

Post up when you can please!

I'm here. Sorry.

No worries but post in game so I can move us along!

Thanks.

I'll give Jim one more day to chime in then just post for him and move us along.

Sorry, new job has wrecked my schedule!

Congrats! What are you doing now? I can relate. :-)

Excellent, everyone is still here.

I just moved the scene along.

Just started at Blizzard working on the World of Warcraft franchise.

Would Henry be aware of Sascha's history within the clan? I'm wondering if this is a moment I could roll to see how much he knows about her.

You do not recall any Elder with those name.

Make an Intelligence + Politics roll DC 7 1 success to ascertain if you have ever heard of her.

Tried to recruit to replace the missing two PCs. No luck. I will be writing them out. I'll give the rest of the day for anyone to chime in, if no one does, I'll move the scene along tonight.

Sorry to hear. I sent the game to a few friends of mine in case they were interested but I think RL stuff is keeping them occupied for the next bit.

I asked my question!

Asked and answered :-)

No worries, 5 players will make things move along a bit quicker anyway.

I'll post up tonight and move us forward.

Giving Marcus a chance to weigh in here.

Anyone want to grab that packet/envelope in the middle of the room? :-)

Henry will give it a look if no one else wants to.

Vinculum
The emotional bond created through the Vaulderie is called Vinculum. It supercedes traditional blood bonds, as participating in a Vaulderie automatically destroys them, replacing the emotional attachments of the bond with a general positive feeling towards other participants.

Vinculum Strength
Vampires will have vincula of varying strength with other vampires, a general function of how often they engage in the vaulderie with those other vampires and their initial feelings towards them. Vinculi do not decay over time, unlike normal blood bonds.

Vinculum effect scores are now listed in the Campaign Tab.

Badger will continue to defer to Henry as the de facto leader of the coterie as long as he's present and it hasn't been established that Badger should take the lead.

Mess of a day, will post up tomorrow.

Speaking ooc, personally I cast my vote to head to the other hotel we're supposed to be staying at. Best to stick to the plan and decide our next moves after we meet with Celestyn and give him an opportunity to explain himself-- though bear in mind Henry is expecting a VERY good explanation to avoid immediately trying to report his potential compromise.

I agree with Henry to stick to the plan

Agreed.

Updates tonight.

Dumb question perhaps but are we using the rule where one WP is restored a night or just when we fulfill our Nature in some way?

When you fulfill your Nature, but please let me know so I can make a ruling for restoration!

Henry's is Autocrat. Could there be a case for him getting a willpower restored for convincing the group to continue to follow his leadership after the events of last night?

I believe so yes and they are certainly following his lead at the moment, I am OK with Henry regaining a point of Willpower based on that premise.

Apologies for the delay, week got a lot more hectic than I anticipated. Post is up now to move the storyline along.

I'd very much to make a roll to determine how truthful Henry believes Celestyn is being. Does Intelligence+Politics(or possibly Occult) work for this?
